Al-'Alaq (Arabic: العلق, al-'alaq), also known as "The Clinging Thing" or "The Embryo," is the 96th chapter (Surah) of the Qur'an.
This Surah, revealed at Makkah, has two parts: the first part consists of first revelation sent down to the Prophet. In the second part, when he began to perform the prescribed Prayer in the precincts of the Ka'bah Abu Jahl tried to prevent him from this with threats.
1. When reading, start with taking the name of Allah's. So too when doing anything else.
