An-Nur(Arabic: النور, romanized: an-nūr, lit. 'The Light') is the 24th chapter of the Quran with 64 verses.
In response to the slander against Sayyidah Aisha, this Surah was revealed to strengthen the moral fiber of the Muslim community. A number of laws and guidance are given to reform the Muslim community: Rape, adultery, and fornication, all of which were already declared social crimes in Surah Al-Ahzab.
