Lessons Learned from Surah Al-Imran

  1. Awarding respect and humiliation is only in the control of Allah's. Without His Will, neither will happen.
  2. There is nothing beyond the Power of Allah's, as is evident from the incident of Zakariyya when he was blessed with a son in old age.
  3. Never try plotting against Allah's.
  4. Don’t say anything ambiguously intending to deceive the listener; especially when it’s the Word of Allah's .
  5. Whoever holds fast to Allah's (by totally relying on Him) will be guided on the right path.
  6. Don’t forget the bounties of Allah's and your humble beginnings.
  7. Be wary of who you befriend.
  8. Mashwarah (seeking counsel) is important. Once mashwarah is done, rely on Allah's. Death is inevitable; everyone shall have to taste death.
  9. Imagine how the Ṣaḥ'bah رضي الله عنهم must have felt when they heard this 'yah from the tongue of the Messenger ﷺ:

نَزَّلَ عَلَيۡكَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ بِٱلۡحَقِّ مُصَدِّقٗا لِّمَا بَيۡنَ يَدَيۡهِ وَأَنزَلَ ٱلتَّوۡرَىٰةَ وَٱلۡإِنجِيلَ

Nazzala 'alaikal Kitaaba bilhaqqi musaddiqal limaa baina yadaihi wa anzalat Tawraata wal Injeel
Er hat dir das Buch mit der Wahrheit offenbart, das zu bestätigen, was vor ihm (offenbart) war. Und Er hat (auch) die Tora und das Evangelium (als Offenbarung) herabgesandt,

مِن قَبۡلُ هُدٗى لِّلنَّاسِ وَأَنزَلَ ٱلۡفُرۡقَانَۗ إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ بِـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ لَهُمۡ عَذَابٞ شَدِيدٞۗ وَٱللَّهُ عَزِيزٞ ذُو ٱنتِقَامٍ

Min qablu hudal linnaasi wa anzalal Furqaan; innallazeena kafaroo bi Aayaatil laahi lahum 'azaabun shadeed; wallaahu 'azeezun zun tiqaam
zuvor, als Rechtleitung für die Menschen. Und Er hat die Unterscheidung herabgesandt. Gewiß, diejenigen, die Allahs Zeichen verleugnen, für sie wird es strenge Strafe geben. Allah ist Allmächtig und Besitzer von Vergeltungsgewalt.

Innal laaha laa yakhfaa 'alaihi shai'un fil ardi wa laa fis samaaa'
Vor Allah ist nichts verborgen, weder auf der Erde noch im Himmel.

هُوَ ٱلَّذِي يُصَوِّرُكُمۡ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡحَامِ كَيۡفَ يَشَآءُۚ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلۡحَكِيمُ

Huwal lazee yusawwirukum fil arhaami kaifa yashaaa'; laa ilaaha illaa Huwal 'Azeezul Hakeem
Er ist es, Der euch im Mutterleib gestaltet, wie Er will. Es gibt keinen Gott außer Ihm, dem Allmächtigen und Allweisen.

هُوَ ٱلَّذِيٓ أَنزَلَ عَلَيۡكَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ مِنۡهُ ءَايَٰتٞ مُّحۡكَمَٰتٌ هُنَّ أُمُّ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ وَأُخَرُ مُتَشَٰبِهَٰتٞۖ فَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِمۡ زَيۡغٞ فَيَتَّبِعُونَ مَا تَشَٰبَهَ مِنۡهُ ٱبۡتِغَآءَ ٱلۡفِتۡنَةِ وَٱبۡتِغَآءَ تَأۡوِيلِهِۦۖ وَمَا يَعۡلَمُ تَأۡوِيلَهُۥٓ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُۗ وَٱلرَّـٰسِخُونَ فِي ٱلۡعِلۡمِ يَقُولُونَ ءَامَنَّا بِهِۦ كُلّٞ مِّنۡ عِندِ رَبِّنَاۗ وَمَا يَذَّكَّرُ إِلَّآ أُوْلُواْ ٱلۡأَلۡبَٰبِ

Huwal lazeee anzala 'alaikal Kitaaba minhu Aayaatum Muh kamaatun hunna Ummul Kitaabi wa ukharu Mutashaabihaatun fa'ammal lazeena fee quloobihim zaiyghun fa yattabi'oona ma tashaabaha minhubtighaaa 'alfitnati wabtighaaa'a taaweelih; wa maa ya'lamu taaweelahooo illal laah; warraasikhoona fil 'ilmi yaqooloona aamannaa bihee kullum min 'indi Rabbinaa; wa maa yazzakkaru illaaa ulul albaab
Er ist es, Der das Buch (als Offenbarung) auf dich herabgesandt hat. Dazu gehören eindeutige Verse - sie sind der Kern des Buches - und andere, mehrdeutige. Was aber diejenigen angeht, in deren Herzen (Neigung zum) Abschweifen ist, so folgen sie dem, was davon mehrdeutig ist, im Trachten nach Irreführung und im Trachten nach ihrer Mißdeutung. Aber niemand weiß ihre Deutung außer Allah. Und diejenigen, die im Wissen fest gegründet sind, sagen: „Wir glauben daran; alles ist von unserem Herrn. Aber nur diejenigen bedenken, die Verstand besitzen.

رَبَّنَا لَا تُزِغۡ قُلُوبَنَا بَعۡدَ إِذۡ هَدَيۡتَنَا وَهَبۡ لَنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ رَحۡمَةًۚ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلۡوَهَّابُ

Rabbanaa laa tuzigh quloobanaa ba'da iz hadaitanaa wa hab lanaa mil ladunka rahmah; innaka antal Wahhaab
Unser Herr, lasse unsere Herzen nicht abschweifen, nachdem Du uns rechtgeleitet hast, und schenke uns Erbarmen von Dir aus. Du bist ja der unablässig Schenkende.

رَبَّنَآ إِنَّكَ جَامِعُ ٱلنَّاسِ لِيَوۡمٖ لَّا رَيۡبَ فِيهِۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يُخۡلِفُ ٱلۡمِيعَادَ

Rabbanaaa innaka jaami 'un-naasi li Yawmin laa raiba feeh; innal laaha laa yukhliful mee'aad
Unser Herr, Du wirst die Menschen gewiß zu einem Tag versammeln, an dem es keinen Zweifel gibt. Allah bricht nicht, was Er versprochen hat.

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ لَن تُغۡنِيَ عَنۡهُمۡ أَمۡوَٰلُهُمۡ وَلَآ أَوۡلَٰدُهُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ شَيۡـٔٗاۖ وَأُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ هُمۡ وَقُودُ ٱلنَّارِ

Innal lazeena kafaroo lan tughniya 'anhum amwaaluhum wa laaa awlaaduhum minal laahi shai'anw wa ulaaa'ika hum waqoodun Naar
Gewiß, denjenigen, die ungläubig sind, werden weder ihr Besitz noch ihre Kinder vor Allah etwas nützen. Sie sind es, die Brennstoff des (Höllen)feuers sein werden.
