Innamaa yaftaril kazibal lazeena laa yu'minoona bi Aayaatil laahi wa ulaaa'ika humul kaaziboon
105. Indeed, those who do not believe in the signs of Allah are the ones who fabricate lies, and they are the ones who are truly lying [238].
[238] From this emerge two important issues:
Falsehood is a major sin and one of the most wicked crimes.
The Prophets are completely innocent and fully protected from falsehood. Their tongues were never to utter lies.
A detailed discussion on this matter can be found in the book Asmā-e-Ambiyā.
Thus, feigning piety and pretentious behavior is also a wicked crime.
The tafsir of Surah An-Nahl verse 105 by Ibn Kathir is unavailable here.
Please refer to Surah Nahl ayat 104 which provides the complete commentary from verse 104 through 105.
(16:105) (It is not the Prophet who invents lies), it is rather those who do not believe in the signs of Allah who invent lies.[108] They are liars.
108. This verse can also be rendered like this: A Prophet does not forge any false thing but those, who do not believe in the revelations of Allah, invent falsehoods.
