The theme/ Summary of the Surah Al-Hajj: 

Many verses in this Surah are about the Resurrection and its logical reasoning. A considerable part of this Holy Surah discusses the struggles against idolaters and polytheists, as well as warnings against those who ignore the events of the Hereafter, and so on.

Lesson learned from Surah Al-Hajj

  1. The Day of Qiy'mah will be full of horrors.  
  2. The blessings of Allah's are so many, we don’t even realize some to be actually blessings.  
  3. Every one of Allah's’s creations is subservient to Him, except the human.  
  4. Whoever revers the symbols of Allah's does so out of the Allah's-consciousness within his heart.[1]  
  5. Shayṭ'n tried to contaminate the revelation that each prophet received, but Allah's protected them all from it. He will therefore try his utmost to deceive man.  
  6. Those who are taken as gods other than Allah's cannot even create anything that equals a fly, let alone match Him in greater feats.  
  7. According to some scholars, Ibrahim (عليه السلام)… was the first to give us the name ‘Muslims’.

بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

Verset 1 sur 10

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ ٱتَّقُواْ رَبَّكُمۡۚ إِنَّ زَلۡزَلَةَ ٱلسَّاعَةِ شَيۡءٌ عَظِيمٞ

Yaaa ayyuhan naasuttaqoo Rabbakum; inna zalzalatas Saa'ati shai'un 'azeem
1. Ô hommes ! Craignez votre Seigneur. Le séisme de l’Heure est quelque chose de terrifiant.

Verset 2 sur 10

يَوۡمَ تَرَوۡنَهَا تَذۡهَلُ كُلُّ مُرۡضِعَةٍ عَمَّآ أَرۡضَعَتۡ وَتَضَعُ كُلُّ ذَاتِ حَمۡلٍ حَمۡلَهَا وَتَرَى ٱلنَّاسَ سُكَٰرَىٰ وَمَا هُم بِسُكَٰرَىٰ وَلَٰكِنَّ عَذَابَ ٱللَّهِ شَدِيدٞ

Yawma tarawnahaa tazhalu kullu murdi'atin 'ammaaa arda'at wa tada'u kullu zaati hamlin hamlahaa wa tarannaasa sukaaraa wa maa hum bisukaaraa wa lakinna 'azaabal laahi shadeed
2. Le jour où vous le verrez, toute nourrice oubliera le (nourrisson) qu’elle allaitait ; toute femme enceinte accouchera de ce qu’elle portait. Et tu verras les hommes ivres bien que n’étant pas ivres, car le supplice d’Allah est vraiment très dur.

Verset 3 sur 10

وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ مَن يُجَٰدِلُ فِي ٱللَّهِ بِغَيۡرِ عِلۡمٖ وَيَتَّبِعُ كُلَّ شَيۡطَٰنٖ مَّرِيدٖ

Wa minan naasi mai yujaadilu fil laahi bighairi 'ilminw wa yattabi'u kullaa shaitaanim mareed
3. Il en est, parmi les hommes, qui disputent d’Allah sans science aucune, et qui suivent tout démon rebelle.

Verset 4 sur 10

كُتِبَ عَلَيۡهِ أَنَّهُۥ مَن تَوَلَّاهُ فَأَنَّهُۥ يُضِلُّهُۥ وَيَهۡدِيهِ إِلَىٰ عَذَابِ ٱلسَّعِيرِ

Kutiba 'alaihi annahoo man tawallaahu fa annahoo yudilluhoo wa yahdeehi ilaa 'azaabis sa'eer
4. Il a été écrit à propos de (Satan) qu’il Egarerait quiconque l’aurait pris pour allié et qu’il le conduirait tout droit au supplice du Brasier.

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ إِن كُنتُمۡ فِي رَيۡبٖ مِّنَ ٱلۡبَعۡثِ فَإِنَّا خَلَقۡنَٰكُم مِّن تُرَابٖ ثُمَّ مِن نُّطۡفَةٖ ثُمَّ مِنۡ عَلَقَةٖ ثُمَّ مِن مُّضۡغَةٖ مُّخَلَّقَةٖ وَغَيۡرِ مُخَلَّقَةٖ لِّنُبَيِّنَ لَكُمۡۚ وَنُقِرُّ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡحَامِ مَا نَشَآءُ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٖ مُّسَمّٗى ثُمَّ نُخۡرِجُكُمۡ طِفۡلٗا ثُمَّ لِتَبۡلُغُوٓاْ أَشُدَّكُمۡۖ وَمِنكُم مَّن يُتَوَفَّىٰ وَمِنكُم مَّن يُرَدُّ إِلَىٰٓ أَرۡذَلِ ٱلۡعُمُرِ لِكَيۡلَا يَعۡلَمَ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ عِلۡمٖ شَيۡـٔٗاۚ وَتَرَى ٱلۡأَرۡضَ هَامِدَةٗ فَإِذَآ أَنزَلۡنَا عَلَيۡهَا ٱلۡمَآءَ ٱهۡتَزَّتۡ وَرَبَتۡ وَأَنۢبَتَتۡ مِن كُلِّ زَوۡجِۭ بَهِيجٖ

Yaaa ayyuhan naasu in kuntum fee raibin minal ba'thi fa innaa khalaqnaakum min turaabin thumma min nutfatin thumma min 'alaqatin thumma min mudghatin mukhallaqatinw wa ghairi mukhallaqatin linubaiyina lakum; wa nuqirru fil arhaami maa nashaaa'u ilaaa ajalin musamman thumma nukhrijukum tiflan thumma litablughooo ashuddakum wa minkum mai yutawaffa wa minkum mai yuraddu ilaaa arzalil 'umuri likailaa ya'lama min ba'di 'ilmin shai'aa; wa taral arda haamidatan fa izaaa anzalnaa 'alaihal maaa'ah tazzat wa rabat wa ambatat min kulli zawjin baheej
5. Ô hommes ! Si vous êtes dans le doute au sujet de la Résurrection, (sachez que) Nous vous avons créés de terre, puis d’une goutte de sperme, puis d’un grumeau de sang, puis d’une masse de chair complètement formée ou sans forme, (cela) pour vous montrer (Notre pouvoir). Nous laissons dans les matrices ce qui Nous plaît jusqu’à un terme déjà nommé, puis Nous vous faisons sortir (sous la forme d’un) enfant, pour que, par la suite, vous atteigniez la force de l’âge. Les uns parmi vous meurent (jeunes), d’autres atteignent le plus décrépit des âges et qui ne sauront plus rien après avoir tant su. Tu vois bien que, desséchée et inerte, la terre bouge, se gonfle et fait pousser de toutes les espèces de végétaux exubérants, dès que Nous y faisons descendre l’eau.

Verset 6 sur 10

ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلۡحَقُّ وَأَنَّهُۥ يُحۡيِ ٱلۡمَوۡتَىٰ وَأَنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ قَدِيرٞ

Zaalika bi annal laaha Huwal haqqu wa annahoo yuhyil mawtaa wa annahoo 'alaakulli shai'in Qadeer
6. Cela, parce qu’Allah est la Vérité, qu’Il fait revivre les morts et qu’Il est de Toute chose Infiniment Capable,

Verset 7 sur 10

وَأَنَّ ٱلسَّاعَةَ ءَاتِيَةٞ لَّا رَيۡبَ فِيهَا وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَبۡعَثُ مَن فِي ٱلۡقُبُورِ

Wa annas Saa'ata aatiya tul laa raiba feeha wa annal laaha yab'asuman fil quboor
7. que l’Heure viendra sans aucun doute, et qu’Allah ressuscitera ceux qui se trouvent dans les tombes.

Verset 8 sur 10

وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ مَن يُجَٰدِلُ فِي ٱللَّهِ بِغَيۡرِ عِلۡمٖ وَلَا هُدٗى وَلَا كِتَٰبٖ مُّنِيرٖ

Wa minan naasi mai yujaadilu fil laahi bighairi 'ilminw wa laa hudanw wa laa Kitaabim Muneer
8. Il en est qui, parmi les hommes, dispute d’Allah sans science aucune, ni direction (hudâ), ni Livre qui puisse l’éclairer.

Verset 9 sur 10

ثَانِيَ عِطۡفِهِۦ لِيُضِلَّ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِۖ لَهُۥ فِي ٱلدُّنۡيَا خِزۡيٞۖ وَنُذِيقُهُۥ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ عَذَابَ ٱلۡحَرِيقِ

Saaniya 'itfihee liyudilla 'an sabeelil laahi lahoo fiddun yaa khizyunw wa nuzeequhoo Yawmal Qiyaamati 'azaabal lhareeq
9. (Celui-là) détourne la tête d’un air de supériorité pour égarer (les autres) de la voie d’Allah. Il sera marqué d’infamie en ce bas monde, et Nous lui ferons goûter, au Jour de la Résurrection, le supplice de la Fournaise.

Verset 10 sur 10

ذَٰلِكَ بِمَا قَدَّمَتۡ يَدَاكَ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَيۡسَ بِظَلَّـٰمٖ لِّلۡعَبِيدِ

Zaalika bimaa qaddamat yadaaka wa annal laaha laisa bizallaamil lil'abeed (section 1)
10. Cela, (en rétribution) pour ce que tes deux mains ont accompli à l’avance, car Allah ne saurait être injuste envers Ses serviteurs.
