Verset 51 sur 89

وَنَادَىٰ فِرۡعَوۡنُ فِي قَوۡمِهِۦ قَالَ يَٰقَوۡمِ أَلَيۡسَ لِي مُلۡكُ مِصۡرَ وَهَٰذِهِ ٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرُ تَجۡرِي مِن تَحۡتِيٓۚ أَفَلَا تُبۡصِرُونَ

Wa naadaa Fir'awnu fee qawmihee qaala yaa qawmi alaisa lee mulku Misra wa haazihil anhaaru tajree min tahtee afalaa tubsiroon
51. Pharaon lança à l’adresse de son peuple : « Ô peuple mien, n’ai-je pas en ma possession tout le royaume d’Égypte et toutes ces rivières qui coulent à mes pieds ? Ne voyez-vous donc pas ?

Verset 52 sur 89

أَمۡ أَنَا۠ خَيۡرٞ مِّنۡ هَٰذَا ٱلَّذِي هُوَ مَهِينٞ وَلَا يَكَادُ يُبِينُ

Am ana khairun min haazal lazee huwa maheenunw wa laa yakaadu yubeen
52. Ne suis-je pas meilleur que ce pauvre hère qui articule à peine ses mots ?

Verset 53 sur 89

فَلَوۡلَآ أُلۡقِيَ عَلَيۡهِ أَسۡوِرَةٞ مِّن ذَهَبٍ أَوۡ جَآءَ مَعَهُ ٱلۡمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ مُقۡتَرِنِينَ

Falaw laa ulqiya 'alaihi aswiratun min zahabin aw jaaa'a ma'ahul malaaa'ikatu muqtarineen
53. Que n’ont été lancés vers lui des bracelets d’or, ou que ne sont venus les Anges avec lui comme compagnons ! »

Verset 54 sur 89

فَٱسۡتَخَفَّ قَوۡمَهُۥ فَأَطَاعُوهُۚ إِنَّهُمۡ كَانُواْ قَوۡمٗا فَٰسِقِينَ

Fastakhaffa qawmahoo fa ataa'ooh; innahum kaanoo qawman faasiqeen
54. C’est ainsi qu’il manipula son peuple qui alors lui obéit. Car c’était un peuple de pervers.

Verset 55 sur 89

فَلَمَّآ ءَاسَفُونَا ٱنتَقَمۡنَا مِنۡهُمۡ فَأَغۡرَقۡنَٰهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِينَ

Falammaaa aasafoonan taqamnaa minhum fa aghraqnaahum ajma'een
55. Irrité de leur comportement, Nous tirâmes vengeance d’eux et les noyâmes tous autant qu’ils étaient.

Verset 56 sur 89

فَجَعَلۡنَٰهُمۡ سَلَفٗا وَمَثَلٗا لِّلۡأٓخِرِينَ

Faja'alnaahum salafanw wa masalan lil aakhireen (section 5)
56. Nous en fîmes un précédent et un exemple pour les autres (générations).[481]

Verset 57 sur 89

۞وَلَمَّا ضُرِبَ ٱبۡنُ مَرۡيَمَ مَثَلًا إِذَا قَوۡمُكَ مِنۡهُ يَصِدُّونَ

Wa lammaa duribab nu Maryama masalan izaa qawmuka minhu yasiddoon
57. L’exemple du fils de Marie proposé, voilà que ton peuple s’en détourne,

Verset 58 sur 89

وَقَالُوٓاْ ءَأَٰلِهَتُنَا خَيۡرٌ أَمۡ هُوَۚ مَا ضَرَبُوهُ لَكَ إِلَّا جَدَلَۢاۚ بَلۡ هُمۡ قَوۡمٌ خَصِمُونَ

Wa qaalooo 'a-aalihatunaa khairun am hoo; maa daraboohu laka illaa jadalaa; balhum qawmun khasimoon
58. en disant : « Qui de nos divinités ou de lui est meilleur ? » Mais ce n’est que (par goût) de la polémique qu’ils te le citent en exemple : ce sont des gens querelleurs.

Verset 59 sur 89

إِنۡ هُوَ إِلَّا عَبۡدٌ أَنۡعَمۡنَا عَلَيۡهِ وَجَعَلۡنَٰهُ مَثَلٗا لِّبَنِيٓ إِسۡرَـٰٓءِيلَ

In huwa illaa 'abdun an'amnaa 'alaihi wa ja'alnaahu masalan li Baneee Israaa'eel
59. Il[482] n’est qu’un serviteur que Nous avons comblé de nos faveurs, et dont Nous avons fait un Signe pour les Enfants d’Israël.

Verset 60 sur 89

وَلَوۡ نَشَآءُ لَجَعَلۡنَا مِنكُم مَّلَـٰٓئِكَةٗ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ يَخۡلُفُونَ

Wa law nashaaa'u laja'alnaa minkum malaaa'ikatan fil ardi yakhlufoon
60. Et si Nous voulions, Nous établirions à votre place des Anges qui vous succèderaient sur terre.
