Muhammad (Arabic: محمد, muḥammad; "Chapter of Muhammad") is the 47th chapter (Surah) of the Qur'an with 38 verses (Ayat).

The summary/theme of the Surah Muhammad: 

It is referred to as the Chapter of Battle (Surah al-Qital) because it emphasizes the fight against the enemies of Islam. The main subject matter concerns believers and disbelievers, comparing the two worlds in this world and the one to come, and the hypocrites' sabotage in Medina.

Lesson learned from Surah Muhammad: 

  1. If you help Allah's, Allah's will help you.  
  2. There shall be a river of water in Jannah that won’t go stale.  
  3. There shall be another of pure honey.  
  4. There shall be another of milk that won’t go bad.  
  5. And another of tasty wine.  
  6. Not contemplating over the meaning of the Quran is sometimes down to spiritual illnesses.  
  7. Don’t corrupt your own actions.  
  8. Whoever is miserly, only hurts himself.

بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

Verset 1 sur 10

ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ وَصَدُّواْ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ أَضَلَّ أَعۡمَٰلَهُمۡ

Allazeena kafaroo wa saddoo'an sabeelil laahi adalla a'maalahum
1. Ceux qui ont mécru et ont détourné (les autres) du chemin d’Allah, (Allah) rendra nulles leurs œuvres.

Verset 2 sur 10

وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَٰتِ وَءَامَنُواْ بِمَا نُزِّلَ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٖ وَهُوَ ٱلۡحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّهِمۡ كَفَّرَ عَنۡهُمۡ سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمۡ وَأَصۡلَحَ بَالَهُمۡ

Wallazeena aamanoo wa 'amilus saalihaati wa aamanoo bimaa nuzzila 'alaa Muhammadinw-wa huwal haqqu mir Rabbihim kaffara 'anhum saiyiaatihim wa aslaha baalahum
2. Ceux qui ont cru et accompli les bonnes œuvres, et ont eu foi en ce qui a été révélé à Muhammad – qui est la pure vérité émanant de leur Seigneur – (Allah) rachètera leurs mauvaises actions et rendra meilleures leurs dispositions.

Verset 3 sur 10

ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ ٱتَّبَعُواْ ٱلۡبَٰطِلَ وَأَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ ٱتَّبَعُواْ ٱلۡحَقَّ مِن رَّبِّهِمۡۚ كَذَٰلِكَ يَضۡرِبُ ٱللَّهُ لِلنَّاسِ أَمۡثَٰلَهُمۡ

Zaalika bi annal lazeena kafarut taba'ul baatila wa annal lazeena aamanut taba'ul haqqa mir Rabbihim; kazaalika yadribul laahu linnaasi amsaalahum
3. Cela, parce que ceux qui ont mécru ont adopté l’erreur, et ceux qui ont cru ont suivi la vérité procédant de leur Seigneur. C’est ainsi qu’Allah donne les exemples aux hommes.

Verset 4 sur 10

فَإِذَا لَقِيتُمُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ فَضَرۡبَ ٱلرِّقَابِ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَآ أَثۡخَنتُمُوهُمۡ فَشُدُّواْ ٱلۡوَثَاقَ فَإِمَّا مَنَّۢا بَعۡدُ وَإِمَّا فِدَآءً حَتَّىٰ تَضَعَ ٱلۡحَرۡبُ أَوۡزَارَهَاۚ ذَٰلِكَۖ وَلَوۡ يَشَآءُ ٱللَّهُ لَٱنتَصَرَ مِنۡهُمۡ وَلَٰكِن لِّيَبۡلُوَاْ بَعۡضَكُم بِبَعۡضٖۗ وَٱلَّذِينَ قُتِلُواْ فِي سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ فَلَن يُضِلَّ أَعۡمَٰلَهُمۡ

Fa-izaa laqeetumul lazeena kafaroo fadarbar riqaabi, hattaaa izaa askhan tumoohum fashuddul wasaaqa, fa immaa mannnam ba'du wa immaa fidaaa'an hattaa tada'al harbu awzaarahaa; zaalika wa law yashaaa'ul laahu lantasara minhum wa laakin li yabluwa ba'dakum bi ba'd; wallazeena qutiloo fee sabeelil laahi falany yudilla a'maalahum
4. Quand vous rencontrez (au combat) ceux qui ont mécru, frappez-les à mort, d’estoc et de taille. Une fois que vous aurez pris le dessus sur eux, enchaînez-en solidement les captifs. Après, ce sera soit la libération gracieuse, soit la réclamation d’une rançon, jusqu’à ce que la guerre soit terminée.[508] Cela, et si Allah le voulait, c’est Lui-même Qui Se vengerait d’eux, mais (s’Il ne le fait pas) c’est pour vous éprouver les uns par les autres. Ceux qui seront tués pour la cause d’Allah, (Allah) ne rendra pas vaines leurs œuvres.

وَيُدۡخِلُهُمُ ٱلۡجَنَّةَ عَرَّفَهَا لَهُمۡ

Wa yudkhiluhumul jannata 'arrafahaa lahum
6. et les fera entrer au Paradis qu’Il leur a déjà défini.

Verset 7 sur 10

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ إِن تَنصُرُواْ ٱللَّهَ يَنصُرۡكُمۡ وَيُثَبِّتۡ أَقۡدَامَكُمۡ

Yaaa ayyuhal lazeena aamanooo in tansurul laaha yansurkum wa yusabbit aqdaamakum
7. Ô vous qui avez cru ! Si vous soutenez (la cause) d’Allah, Allah vous soutiendra et raffermira vos pas.

وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ فَتَعۡسٗا لَّهُمۡ وَأَضَلَّ أَعۡمَٰلَهُمۡ

Wallazeena kafaroo fata' sal lahum wa adalla a'maalahum
8. Quant à ceux qui ont mécru, malheur à eux, et (Allah) rendra nulles leurs œuvres.

ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمۡ كَرِهُواْ مَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ فَأَحۡبَطَ أَعۡمَٰلَهُمۡ

Zaalika bi annahum karihoo maaa anzal allaahu fa ahbata a'maalahum
9. Car ils ont en horreur ce qu’Allah a révélé. Voilà pourquoi Il rendra vaines leurs actions.

Verset 10 sur 10

۞أَفَلَمۡ يَسِيرُواْ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ فَيَنظُرُواْ كَيۡفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡۖ دَمَّرَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيۡهِمۡۖ وَلِلۡكَٰفِرِينَ أَمۡثَٰلُهَا

Afalam yaseeroo fil ardi fayanzuroo kaifa kaana 'aaqibatul lazeena min qablihim; dammaral laahu 'alaihim wa lilkaafireena amsaaluhaa
10. N’ont-ils pas parcouru la terre pour voir quel fut le sort de ceux qui les ont précédés ? Allah a tout fait s’écrouler sur eux, et il en sera de même des mécréants.
