Surah Abasa (Arabic: عبس, romanized: ‘Abasa, meaning "He Frowned") is the 80th sura of the Quran, composed of 42 verses. It is classified as a Meccan sura, meaning it was revealed in Mecca during the early period of Prophet Muhammad's mission.
Aside from describing the Quran, this surah describes how man was created and God's blessings given to him. It also discusses the events of the Day of Judgment and the fate of people on that day.
