The Spider(Arabic: العنكبوت, al-‘ankabūt) is the 29th chapter (surah) of the Quran with 69 verses (Ayat).

The summary/theme of the surah al-‘ankabūt: 

Muslims who are sincere are strengthened by this Surah, and those who are weak in their faith are admonished. During those days, some young men faced questions regarding Islam, and their parents encouraged them to return to their ancestral religion in place of Islam. This Surah also addresses these questions.

Lesson learned from  surah al-‘ankabūt: 

  1. Do we think that we will be left alone without being tested on our aªm'n? Being tested is inevitable.  
  2. Allah's gives parables and examples in the Quran that only the knowledgeable understand.  
  3. Ṣal'h performed properly will stop you from committing sins.  
  4. Every soul shall taste death  
  5. The life of the Hereafter is one worth living and anticipating.  
  6. Whoever strives in the way of Allah's, Allah's will guide him/her.

بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

أَحَسِبَ ٱلنَّاسُ أَن يُتۡرَكُوٓاْ أَن يَقُولُوٓاْ ءَامَنَّا وَهُمۡ لَا يُفۡتَنُونَ

Ahasiban naasu any yutrakooo any yaqoolooo aamannaa wa hum la yuftanoon
Meinen die Menschen, daß sie in Ruhe gelassen werden, (nur) weil sie sagen: „Wir glauben, ohne daß sie geprüft werden?

وَلَقَدۡ فَتَنَّا ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡۖ فَلَيَعۡلَمَنَّ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ صَدَقُواْ وَلَيَعۡلَمَنَّ ٱلۡكَٰذِبِينَ

Wa laqad fatannal lazeena min qablihim fala ya'lamannal laahul lazeena sadaqoo wa la ya'lamannal kaazibeen
Wir haben bereits diejenigen vor ihnen geprüft. Allah wird ganz gewiß diejenigen kennen, die die Wahrheit sprechen, und Er wird ganz gewiß die Lügner kennen.

أَمۡ حَسِبَ ٱلَّذِينَ يَعۡمَلُونَ ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ أَن يَسۡبِقُونَاۚ سَآءَ مَا يَحۡكُمُونَ

Am hasibal lazeena ya'maloonas sayyiaati any yasbiqoonaa; saaa'a maa yahkumoon
Oder meinen diejenigen, die böse Taten begehen, daß sie Uns entkommen (können)? Wie böse ist, was sie urteilen!

مَن كَانَ يَرۡجُواْ لِقَآءَ ٱللَّهِ فَإِنَّ أَجَلَ ٱللَّهِ لَأٓتٖۚ وَهُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلۡعَلِيمُ

Man kaana yarjoo liqaaa 'allaahi fa inna ajalal laahi la'aat; wa Huwass Sameeul 'Aleem
Wer die Begegnung mit Allah erwartet-, so wird Allahs Frist sicher kommen. Und Er ist der Allhörende und Allwissende.

وَمَن جَٰهَدَ فَإِنَّمَا يُجَٰهِدُ لِنَفۡسِهِۦٓۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَغَنِيٌّ عَنِ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ

Wa man jaahada fainnamaa yujaahidu linafsih; innal laaha laghaniyyun 'anil 'aalameen
Und wer sich abmüht, der müht sich nur zu seinem eigenen Vorteil ab, denn Allah ist der Weltenbewohner fürwahr unbedürftig.

وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَٰتِ لَنُكَفِّرَنَّ عَنۡهُمۡ سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمۡ وَلَنَجۡزِيَنَّهُمۡ أَحۡسَنَ ٱلَّذِي كَانُواْ يَعۡمَلُونَ

Wallazeena aamanoo wa 'amilus saalihaati lanukaf firanna 'anhum saiyiaatihim wa lanajziyannahum ahsanal lazee kaanoo ya'maloon
Denjenigen, die glauben und rechtschaffene Werke tun, werden Wir ganz gewiß ihre bösen Taten tilgen und ihnen ganz gewiß das Beste vergelten von dem, was sie taten.

وَوَصَّيۡنَا ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ بِوَٰلِدَيۡهِ حُسۡنٗاۖ وَإِن جَٰهَدَاكَ لِتُشۡرِكَ بِي مَا لَيۡسَ لَكَ بِهِۦ عِلۡمٞ فَلَا تُطِعۡهُمَآۚ إِلَيَّ مَرۡجِعُكُمۡ فَأُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ

Wa wassainal insaana biwaalidaihi husnanw wa in jaahadaaka litushrika bee maa laisa laka bihee 'ilmun falaa tuti'humaa; ilaiya marji'ukum fa unabbi'ukum bimaa kuntum ta'maloon
Und Wir haben dem Menschen anbefohlen, seine Eltern mit Güte zu behandeln. Wenn sie sich aber darum bemühen, daß Du Mir das beigesellst, wovon du kein Wissen hast, dann gehorche ihnen nicht. Zu Mir wird eure Rückkehr sein, da werde Ich euch kundtun, was ihr zu tun pflegtet.
Vers 9 von 10

وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَٰتِ لَنُدۡخِلَنَّهُمۡ فِي ٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ

Wallazeena aamanoo wa'amilus saalihaati lanudkhilan nahum fis saaliheen
Diejenigen, die glauben und rechtschaffene Werke tun, lassen Wir in die Reihen der Rechtschaffenen eingehen.
Vers 10 von 10

وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ مَن يَقُولُ ءَامَنَّا بِٱللَّهِ فَإِذَآ أُوذِيَ فِي ٱللَّهِ جَعَلَ فِتۡنَةَ ٱلنَّاسِ كَعَذَابِ ٱللَّهِۖ وَلَئِن جَآءَ نَصۡرٞ مِّن رَّبِّكَ لَيَقُولُنَّ إِنَّا كُنَّا مَعَكُمۡۚ أَوَلَيۡسَ ٱللَّهُ بِأَعۡلَمَ بِمَا فِي صُدُورِ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ

Wa minan naasi many yaqoolu aamannaa billaahi faizaaa ooziya fil laahi ja'ala fitnatan naasi ka'azaabil laahi wa la'in jaaa'a nasrum mir Rabbika la yaqoolunna innaa kunnaa ma'akum; awa laisal laahu bi a'lama bimaa fee sudooril 'aalameen
Und unter den Menschen gibt es manchen, der sagt: „Wir glauben an Allah. Wenn ihm aber um Allahs willen Leid zugefügt wird, setzt er die Anfechtung durch die Menschen der Strafe Allahs gleich. Wenn jedoch Hilfe von deinem Herrn kommt, sagen sie ganz gewiß: „Wir sind ja mit euch gewesen. Weiß Allah denn nicht besser Bescheid über das, was in den Brüsten der Weltenbewohner steckt?
