About the Surah Muhammad

Muhammad (Arabic: محمد, muḥammad; "Chapter of Muhammad") is the 47th chapter (Surah) of the Qur'an with 38 verses (Ayat).

The summary/theme of the Surah Muhammad: 

It is referred to as the Chapter of Battle (Surah al-Qital) because it emphasizes the fight against the enemies of Islam. The main subject matter concerns believers and disbelievers, comparing the two worlds in this world and the one to come, and the hypocrites' sabotage in Medina.

Lesson learned from Surah Muhammad: 

  1. If you help Allah's, Allah's will help you.  
  2. There shall be a river of water in Jannah that won’t go stale.  
  3. There shall be another of pure honey.  
  4. There shall be another of milk that won’t go bad.  
  5. And another of tasty wine.  
  6. Not contemplating over the meaning of the Quran is sometimes down to spiritual illnesses.  
  7. Don’t corrupt your own actions.  
  8. Whoever is miserly, only hurts himself.

ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ وَصَدُّواْ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ أَضَلَّ أَعۡمَٰلَهُمۡ

Allazeena kafaroo wa saddoo'an sabeelil laahi adalla a'maalahum
Denjenigen, die ungläubig sind und von Allahs Weg abhalten, läßt Er ihre Werke fehlgehen.

وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَٰتِ وَءَامَنُواْ بِمَا نُزِّلَ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٖ وَهُوَ ٱلۡحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّهِمۡ كَفَّرَ عَنۡهُمۡ سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمۡ وَأَصۡلَحَ بَالَهُمۡ

Wallazeena aamanoo wa 'amilus saalihaati wa aamanoo bimaa nuzzila 'alaa Muhammadinw-wa huwal haqqu mir Rabbihim kaffara 'anhum saiyiaatihim wa aslaha baalahum
Denjenigen aber, die glauben und rechtschaffene Werke tun und an das glauben, was Muhammad offenbart worden ist - und es ist (ja) die Wahrheit von ihrem Herrn -, tilgt Er ihre bösen Taten und bessert ihren Gemütszustand.

ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ ٱتَّبَعُواْ ٱلۡبَٰطِلَ وَأَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ ٱتَّبَعُواْ ٱلۡحَقَّ مِن رَّبِّهِمۡۚ كَذَٰلِكَ يَضۡرِبُ ٱللَّهُ لِلنَّاسِ أَمۡثَٰلَهُمۡ

Zaalika bi annal lazeena kafarut taba'ul baatila wa annal lazeena aamanut taba'ul haqqa mir Rabbihim; kazaalika yadribul laahu linnaasi amsaalahum
Dies, weil diejenigen, die ungläubig sind, dem Falschen folgen, und diejenigen, die glauben, der Wahrheit von ihrem Herrn folgen. So prägt Allah den Menschen ihre Gleichnisse.

فَإِذَا لَقِيتُمُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ فَضَرۡبَ ٱلرِّقَابِ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَآ أَثۡخَنتُمُوهُمۡ فَشُدُّواْ ٱلۡوَثَاقَ فَإِمَّا مَنَّۢا بَعۡدُ وَإِمَّا فِدَآءً حَتَّىٰ تَضَعَ ٱلۡحَرۡبُ أَوۡزَارَهَاۚ ذَٰلِكَۖ وَلَوۡ يَشَآءُ ٱللَّهُ لَٱنتَصَرَ مِنۡهُمۡ وَلَٰكِن لِّيَبۡلُوَاْ بَعۡضَكُم بِبَعۡضٖۗ وَٱلَّذِينَ قُتِلُواْ فِي سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ فَلَن يُضِلَّ أَعۡمَٰلَهُمۡ

Fa-izaa laqeetumul lazeena kafaroo fadarbar riqaabi, hattaaa izaa askhan tumoohum fashuddul wasaaqa, fa immaa mannnam ba'du wa immaa fidaaa'an hattaa tada'al harbu awzaarahaa; zaalika wa law yashaaa'ul laahu lantasara minhum wa laakin li yabluwa ba'dakum bi ba'd; wallazeena qutiloo fee sabeelil laahi falany yudilla a'maalahum
Wenn ihr auf diejenigen, die ungläubig sind, (im Kampf) trefft, dann schlagt (ihnen auf) die Nacken. Wenn ihr sie schließlich schwer niedergeschlagen habt, dann legt (ihnen) die Fesseln fest an. Danach (laßt sie) als Wohltat frei oder gegen Lösegeld, bis der Krieg seine Lasten ablegt. Dies (soll so sein)! Und wenn Allah wollte, würde Er sie wahrlich (allein) besiegen . Er will aber damit die einen von euch durch die anderen prüfen. Und denjenigen, die auf Allahs Weg getötet werden, wird Er ihre Werke nicht fehlgehen lassen;

وَيُدۡخِلُهُمُ ٱلۡجَنَّةَ عَرَّفَهَا لَهُمۡ

Wa yudkhiluhumul jannata 'arrafahaa lahum
und sie in den (Paradies)garten eingehen lassen, den Er ihnen kenntlich gemacht hat.

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ إِن تَنصُرُواْ ٱللَّهَ يَنصُرۡكُمۡ وَيُثَبِّتۡ أَقۡدَامَكُمۡ

Yaaa ayyuhal lazeena aamanooo in tansurul laaha yansurkum wa yusabbit aqdaamakum
O die ihr glaubt, wenn ihr Allah(s Sache) helft, hilft Er euch und festigt eure Füße.

وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ فَتَعۡسٗا لَّهُمۡ وَأَضَلَّ أَعۡمَٰلَهُمۡ

Wallazeena kafaroo fata' sal lahum wa adalla a'maalahum
Diejenigen aber, die ungläubig sind, so sollen sie (in Unglück) fallen! Und Er wird ihre Werke fehlgehen lassen.

ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمۡ كَرِهُواْ مَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ فَأَحۡبَطَ أَعۡمَٰلَهُمۡ

Zaalika bi annahum karihoo maaa anzal allaahu fa ahbata a'maalahum
Dies, weil ihnen zuwider ist, was Allah (als Offenbarung) herabgesandt hat, und so läßt Er ihre Werke hinfällig werden.

۞أَفَلَمۡ يَسِيرُواْ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ فَيَنظُرُواْ كَيۡفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡۖ دَمَّرَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيۡهِمۡۖ وَلِلۡكَٰفِرِينَ أَمۡثَٰلُهَا

Afalam yaseeroo fil ardi fayanzuroo kaifa kaana 'aaqibatul lazeena min qablihim; dammaral laahu 'alaihim wa lilkaafireena amsaaluhaa
Sind sie denn nicht auf der Erde umhergereist, so daß sie schauen (konnten), wie das Ende derjenigen vor ihnen war? Allah hat über sie Zerstörung gebracht. Für die Ungläubigen wird es etwas dergleichen geben.
