Surah Al-Hijr

Ayah 21 of 10

وَإِن مِّن شَيۡءٍ إِلَّا عِندَنَا خَزَآئِنُهُۥ وَمَا نُنَزِّلُهُۥٓ إِلَّا بِقَدَرٖ مَّعۡلُومٖ

Wa im min shai'in illaa 'indanaa khazaaa 'inuhoo wa maa nunazziluhooo illaa biqadarim ma'loom
21. And there is nothing except that its treasures are with Us [27], and We do not send it down except with a known measure.

Ayah 22 of 10

وَأَرۡسَلۡنَا ٱلرِّيَٰحَ لَوَٰقِحَ فَأَنزَلۡنَا مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءٗ فَأَسۡقَيۡنَٰكُمُوهُ وَمَآ أَنتُمۡ لَهُۥ بِخَٰزِنِينَ

Wa arsalnar riyaaha la waaqiha fa anzalnaa minas samaaa'i maaa'an fa asqai naakumoohu wa maaa antum lahoo bikhaazineen
22. And We have sent the winds as fertilizers [28], then We sent down water from the sky [29], and gave it to you to drink, and you are not its guardians.

Ayah 23 of 10

وَإِنَّا لَنَحۡنُ نُحۡيِۦ وَنُمِيتُ وَنَحۡنُ ٱلۡوَٰرِثُونَ

Wa innnaa la nahnu nuhyee wa numeetu wa nahnul waarisoon
23. And indeed, it is We who give life and cause death, and We are the inheritors [30].

وَلَقَدۡ عَلِمۡنَا ٱلۡمُسۡتَقۡدِمِينَ مِنكُمۡ وَلَقَدۡ عَلِمۡنَا ٱلۡمُسۡتَـٔۡخِرِينَ

Wa la qad 'alimnal mustaqdimeena minkum wa laqad 'alimnal mustaakhireen
24. And We certainly know those who advance [31] among you, and We certainly know those who delay [32].

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ يَحۡشُرُهُمۡۚ إِنَّهُۥ حَكِيمٌ عَلِيمٞ

Wa inna Rabbaka Huwa yahshuruhum; innahoo Hakeemun 'Aleem
25. And indeed, your Lord alone will gather them. Verily, He is the All-Wise, the All-Knowing.

Ayah 26 of 10

وَلَقَدۡ خَلَقۡنَا ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ مِن صَلۡصَٰلٖ مِّنۡ حَمَإٖ مَّسۡنُونٖ

Wa laqad khalaqnal insaana min salsaalim min hama im masnoon
26. And indeed, We have created man from sounding clay, from black mud molded [33].

وَٱلۡجَآنَّ خَلَقۡنَٰهُ مِن قَبۡلُ مِن نَّارِ ٱلسَّمُومِ

Waljaaanna khalaqnaahu min qablu min naaris samoom
27. And the Jinn We created before from smokeless fire [34].

وَإِذۡ قَالَ رَبُّكَ لِلۡمَلَـٰٓئِكَةِ إِنِّي خَٰلِقُۢ بَشَرٗا مِّن صَلۡصَٰلٖ مِّنۡ حَمَإٖ مَّسۡنُونٖ

Wa iz qaala Rabbuka lilmalaaa' ikati innee khaaliqum basharam min salsaalim min hama im masnoon
28. And remember when your Lord said to the angels, "I am creating a human being from sounding clay, from black mud molded [35]."

فَإِذَا سَوَّيۡتُهُۥ وَنَفَخۡتُ فِيهِ مِن رُّوحِي فَقَعُواْ لَهُۥ سَٰجِدِينَ

Fa izaa sawwaituhoo wa nafakhtu feehi mir roohee faqa'oo lahoo saajideen
29. Then when I have perfected him and breathed into him of My [36] spirit, then fall down in prostration to him [37].

Fasajadal malaaa'ikatu kulluhum ajma'oon
30. Then all the angels fell down in prostration together [38].
