⚖️ The Superiority of the Hereafter

Tafseer (Commentary) of Ayah 87:17

🔹 Understanding the Hereafter

The Hereafter refers to the final life that begins after resurrection and never ends.
It is superior to the three previous stages of life:
1️⃣ Before birth – The state of existence before entering this world.
2️⃣ Worldly life – The temporary test of faith and deeds.
3️⃣ Life in the grave – The waiting period before resurrection.

1️⃣ Why is the Hereafter Superior?

It is Better – Full of comfort and blessings without any hardship.
It is EverlastingNo death, no suffering, and (اللَّهُ) Allah’s pleasure is eternal.

Conclusion:

Everything in this world is temporary, but the Hereafter never ends.
The piety and good deeds linked to the Hereafter become eternal rewards. 🌳

Ala-Maududi

(87:17) whereas the Hereafter is better and more enduring.[17]

17. That is, the Hereafter is preferable to the world for two reasons: First, that its comforts and pleasures are far superior to all the blessings of the world; second, that the world is transitory and the Hereafter everlasting.

(17) While the Hereafter is better and more enduring.
