Summary/Theme of Surah Al-An'am

Surah Al-An'am, revealed in Mecca, emphasizes the Oneness of God (Tawhid). Throughout the chapter, the name of Allah is mentioned seventy times, with a strong condemnation of idolatry and polytheism. The surah serves as a reminder of God's sovereignty and the importance of adhering to monotheism.

Lessons Learned from Surah Al-An'am

  1. Historical Precedents: Allah has sent many nations before us; those who disbelieved faced His punishment and were replaced by others.
  2. Consequences of Mockery: Those who mock Allah’s punishments will ultimately face the same consequences they mocked.
  3. Day of Judgement: All disputes in this world will be clarified on the Day of Judgement.
  4. Human Nature: People often turn to Allah in times of difficulty but neglect Him once relief comes.
  5. Majority Influence: Following the majority may lead one astray from the right path.
  6. Abstinence from Sin: All forms of sin should be avoided.
  7. Prophethood: Allah is the best judge of who deserves prophethood.
  8. Provision for Offspring: Do not harm your children out of fear of poverty; Allah is their Sustainer.
  9. Honesty in Transactions: Deceit in measuring and weighing is condemned.
  10. Blessings of the Quran: Practicing the Quran brings Allah’s Mercy.
  11. Reward System: Every good deed is rewarded tenfold, while a sin is only recompensed with its equivalent.
  12. Divine Testing: Allah has created some individuals of higher rank than others to test them with their blessings.

Benefits of Reciting Surah Al-An'am

  1. Spiritual Blessings: Writing Surah Al-An'am in musk or saffron and drinking it for six consecutive days will bring blessings and relief from ailments.
  2. Angelic Intercession: Reciting this surah attracts the prayers of seventy thousand angels who glorified Allah upon its revelation, seeking forgiveness for the reciter until the Day of Judgement.
  3. Fulfillment of Desires: For the fulfillment of legitimate desires, perform a four-unit prayer (Salat) with Surah Al-Fatihah and Surah Al-An'am in each unit, followed by specific supplications.
  4. Rewards of Worship: Reciting Surah Al-An'am up to the verse "taksibun" brings the reward of worship equal to that of forty thousand angels until the Day of Judgement. The same reward applies to those who recite it in the morning.

Vers 1 von 10

Alhamdu lillaahil lazee khalaqas samaawaati wal arda wa ja'alaz zulumaati wannoor; summal lazeena kafaroo bi Rabbihim ya'diloon

Huwal lazee khalaqakum min teenin summa qadaaa ajalanw wa ajalum musamman 'indahoo summa antum tamtaroon

Wa maa ta'teehim min Aayatim min Aayaati Rabbihim illaa kaanoo 'anhaa mu'rideen

Faqad kazzaboo bilhaqqi lammaa jaaa'ahum fasawfa ya'teehim ambaaa'u maa kaanoo bihee yastahzi'oon

Alam yaraw kam ahlaknaa min qablihim min qarnim makkannaahum fil ardi maa lam numakkil lakum wa arsalnas samaaa'a 'alaihim midraaranw wa ja'alnal anhaara tajree min tahtihim fa ahlak naahum bizunoobihim wa ansha'naa mim ba'dihim qarnan aakhareen

Wa law nazzalnaa 'alaika Kitaaban fee qirtaasin falamasoohu bi aideehim laqaalal lazeena kafarooo in haazaaa illaa sihrum mubeen

Wa qaaloo law laaa unzila alaihi malakunw wa law anzalna malakal laqudiyal amru summa laa yunzaroon

Wa law ja'alnaahu malakal laja'alnaahu rajulanw wa lalabasnaa 'alaihim maa yalbisoon

Wa laqadis tuhzi'a bi-Rusulim min qablika fahaaqa billazeena sakhiroo minhum maa kaanoo bihee yastahzi'oon
