Ayah 2

وَٱلۡيَوۡمِ ٱلۡمَوۡعُودِ

2. And by the promised day [2].

Surah Name : Al-Buruj   Surah Number : 85   Ayat Number: 2

Ayah 48

وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَىٰ هَٰذَا ٱلۡوَعۡدُ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَٰدِقِينَ

48. And they say: "When will the promise be fulfilled [73] if you are truthful?"

Surah Name : Ya-Sin   Surah Number : 36   Ayat Number: 48

Ayah 52

قَالُواْ يَٰوَيۡلَنَا مَنۢ بَعَثَنَا مِن مَّرۡقَدِنَاۜۗ هَٰذَا مَا وَعَدَ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنُ وَصَدَقَ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلُونَ

52.They will say: "Ah! Woe[80] to us. who has awakened us from our slumber [81]? This is what the Most Affectionate had promised (82) and the Messengers spoke the truth,(83).

Surah Name : Ya-Sin   Surah Number : 36   Ayat Number: 52

Ayah 63

هَٰذِهِۦ جَهَنَّمُ ٱلَّتِي كُنتُمۡ تُوعَدُونَ

63. This is the hell, which you were promised [94].

Ayah 95

لَّا يَسۡتَوِي ٱلۡقَٰعِدُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ غَيۡرُ أُوْلِي ٱلضَّرَرِ وَٱلۡمُجَٰهِدُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ بِأَمۡوَٰلِهِمۡ وَأَنفُسِهِمۡۚ فَضَّلَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡمُجَٰهِدِينَ بِأَمۡوَٰلِهِمۡ وَأَنفُسِهِمۡ عَلَى ٱلۡقَٰعِدِينَ دَرَجَةٗۚ وَكُلّٗا وَعَدَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡحُسۡنَىٰۚ وَفَضَّلَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡمُجَٰهِدِينَ عَلَى ٱلۡقَٰعِدِينَ أَجۡرًا عَظِيمٗا

95. Those of the believers who stay back from fighting [305] without any valid excuse, and those who strive in the way of Allah with their wealth and their lives [306] are not equal. Allah has elevated in rank [307] those who strive with their wealth and lives over those who remain behind. Yet, Allah has promised good to all [308], and He has preferred those who strive over those who remain aloof, with a great reward [309].

Surah Name : An-Nisa   Surah Number : 4   Ayat Number: 95

Ayah 120

يَعِدُهُمۡ وَيُمَنِّيهِمۡۖ وَمَا يَعِدُهُمُ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنُ إِلَّا غُرُورًا

120. He (the devil) makes them promises and arouses in them desires. But, Shaitaan does not promise them except deception [365].

Ayah 122

وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَٰتِ سَنُدۡخِلُهُمۡ جَنَّـٰتٖ تَجۡرِي مِن تَحۡتِهَا ٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَآ أَبَدٗاۖ وَعۡدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقّٗاۚ وَمَنۡ أَصۡدَقُ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ قِيلٗا

122. And those who believe and do good deeds [367], soon We shall cause them to enter gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide forever. The promise of Allah is true [368]. And who is more truthful in a statement than Allah?

Ayah 51

وَإِذۡ وَٰعَدۡنَا مُوسَىٰٓ أَرۡبَعِينَ لَيۡلَةٗ ثُمَّ ٱتَّخَذۡتُمُ ٱلۡعِجۡلَ مِنۢ بَعۡدِهِۦ وَأَنتُمۡ ظَٰلِمُونَ

51. And (recall) when We made a promise [95] of forty nights with Musa (for communion), then you (Israelites) took the calf in worship (in his absence). And you were wrongdoers [96].

Ayah 124

۞وَإِذِ ٱبۡتَلَىٰٓ إِبۡرَٰهِـۧمَ رَبُّهُۥ بِكَلِمَٰتٖ فَأَتَمَّهُنَّۖ قَالَ إِنِّي جَاعِلُكَ لِلنَّاسِ إِمَامٗاۖ قَالَ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِيۖ قَالَ لَا يَنَالُ عَهۡدِي ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ

124. And when his Lord tested Ibrahim with certain commands [248], and he fulfilled them, He (Allah) said, "Indeed, I will appoint you as a leader [249] for all the people." Ibrahim requested, "And from my offspring as well?" He (Allah) replied, "My covenant does not extend to the unjust [250]."

Surah Name : Al-Baqarah   Surah Number : 2   Ayat Number: 124

Ayah 177

۞لَّيۡسَ ٱلۡبِرَّ أَن تُوَلُّواْ وُجُوهَكُمۡ قِبَلَ ٱلۡمَشۡرِقِ وَٱلۡمَغۡرِبِ وَلَٰكِنَّ ٱلۡبِرَّ مَنۡ ءَامَنَ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلۡيَوۡمِ ٱلۡأٓخِرِ وَٱلۡمَلَـٰٓئِكَةِ وَٱلۡكِتَٰبِ وَٱلنَّبِيِّـۧنَ وَءَاتَى ٱلۡمَالَ عَلَىٰ حُبِّهِۦ ذَوِي ٱلۡقُرۡبَىٰ وَٱلۡيَتَٰمَىٰ وَٱلۡمَسَٰكِينَ وَٱبۡنَ ٱلسَّبِيلِ وَٱلسَّآئِلِينَ وَفِي ٱلرِّقَابِ وَأَقَامَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتَى ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَٱلۡمُوفُونَ بِعَهۡدِهِمۡ إِذَا عَٰهَدُواْۖ وَٱلصَّـٰبِرِينَ فِي ٱلۡبَأۡسَآءِ وَٱلضَّرَّآءِ وَحِينَ ٱلۡبَأۡسِۗ أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ صَدَقُواْۖ وَأُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلۡمُتَّقُونَ

177. True righteousness [376] is not that you turn your faces to the east or to the west, but true righteousness is that a person who has faith [377] in Allah and in the Last Day and the angels and the Scripture and the Prophets [378] and gives from his dear wealth [379] out of love for Allah to relatives and to orphans and the needy and to travelers [380] and the beggars [381] and for freeing slaves and establishes prayer [382] and gives Zakat [383]. And those who fulfill their promise when they make a promise [384] and are patient in adversity and hardship and in times of crusade (Jihad) [385]. Those are the ones who have been true, and it is those who are God-fearing [386].

Surah Name : Al-Baqarah   Surah Number : 2   Ayat Number: 177

Ayah 268

ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنُ يَعِدُكُمُ ٱلۡفَقۡرَ وَيَأۡمُرُكُم بِٱلۡفَحۡشَآءِۖ وَٱللَّهُ يَعِدُكُم مَّغۡفِرَةٗ مِّنۡهُ وَفَضۡلٗاۗ وَٱللَّهُ وَٰسِعٌ عَلِيمٞ

268. The devil threatens you with poverty and commands you to commit lewdness [707]. But Allah promises you forgiveness from Him and bounty. Surely, Allah is All-Encompassing, All-Knowing [708].

Surah Name : Al-Baqarah   Surah Number : 2   Ayat Number: 268

Ayah 25

وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَىٰ هَٰذَا ٱلۡوَعۡدُ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَٰدِقِينَ

25. And they say, "When will this promise be, if you are truthful [50]?"

Surah Name : Al-Mulk   Surah Number : 67   Ayat Number: 25

Ayah 21

وَكَذَٰلِكَ أَعۡثَرۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ لِيَعۡلَمُوٓاْ أَنَّ وَعۡدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقّٞ وَأَنَّ ٱلسَّاعَةَ لَا رَيۡبَ فِيهَآ إِذۡ يَتَنَٰزَعُونَ بَيۡنَهُمۡ أَمۡرَهُمۡۖ فَقَالُواْ ٱبۡنُواْ عَلَيۡهِم بُنۡيَٰنٗاۖ رَّبُّهُمۡ أَعۡلَمُ بِهِمۡۚ قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ غَلَبُواْ عَلَىٰٓ أَمۡرِهِمۡ لَنَتَّخِذَنَّ عَلَيۡهِم مَّسۡجِدٗا

21. Likewise, We disclosed their case so that people may know that Allah's promise is true, and that there is no doubt about the Hour [45]. When they were disputing among themselves about their affair, they said, “Build a structure over them.” Their Lord knows best about them [46]. Those who prevailed over their matter said, “We will certainly build a mosque over them.” [47].

Surah Name : Al-Kahf   Surah Number : 18   Ayat Number: 21

Ayah 98

قَالَ هَٰذَا رَحۡمَةٞ مِّن رَّبِّيۖ فَإِذَا جَآءَ وَعۡدُ رَبِّي جَعَلَهُۥ دَكَّآءَۖ وَكَانَ وَعۡدُ رَبِّي حَقّٗا

98. He said, "This is a mercy from my Lord. When the promise of my Lord comes, He will make it crumble [218]. And the promise of my Lord is always true [219]."

Surah Name : Al-Kahf   Surah Number : 18   Ayat Number: 98

Ayah 9

ثُمَّ صَدَقۡنَٰهُمُ ٱلۡوَعۡدَ فَأَنجَيۡنَٰهُمۡ وَمَن نَّشَآءُ وَأَهۡلَكۡنَا ٱلۡمُسۡرِفِينَ

9. Then We made Our promise good [16] to them, so We delivered them and those whom We pleased and destroyed the extravagant.

Surah Name : Al-Anbiya   Surah Number : 21   Ayat Number: 9

Ayah 38

وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَىٰ هَٰذَا ٱلۡوَعۡدُ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَٰدِقِينَ

38. And they say, 'when this promise will be (fulfilled) if you are truthful?(60)

Surah Name : Al-Anbiya   Surah Number : 21   Ayat Number: 38

Ayah 97

وَٱقۡتَرَبَ ٱلۡوَعۡدُ ٱلۡحَقُّ فَإِذَا هِيَ شَٰخِصَةٌ أَبۡصَٰرُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ يَٰوَيۡلَنَا قَدۡ كُنَّا فِي غَفۡلَةٖ مِّنۡ هَٰذَا بَلۡ كُنَّا ظَٰلِمِينَ

97. And the true promise drew near, then the eyes of the infidels [151], will remain staring and woe to us. Indeed, we were headless of this and rather we were unjust [152],

Surah Name : Al-Anbiya   Surah Number : 21   Ayat Number: 97

Ayah 101

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ سَبَقَتۡ لَهُم مِّنَّا ٱلۡحُسۡنَىٰٓ أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ عَنۡهَا مُبۡعَدُونَ

101. Indeed, those for whom Our promise of good has already gone forth, they have been kept away [157] from the Hell.

Surah Name : Al-Anbiya   Surah Number : 21   Ayat Number: 101

Ayah 104

يَوۡمَ نَطۡوِي ٱلسَّمَآءَ كَطَيِّ ٱلسِّجِلِّ لِلۡكُتُبِۚ كَمَا بَدَأۡنَآ أَوَّلَ خَلۡقٖ نُّعِيدُهُۥۚ وَعۡدًا عَلَيۡنَآۚ إِنَّا كُنَّا فَٰعِلِينَ

104. The Day when We shall roll up the heavens as the angel Sajil rolls up [161], the record of deeds. As We made first, We shall restore [162], it. This is a promise on Us; We shall definitely do it.

Surah Name : Al-Anbiya   Surah Number : 21   Ayat Number: 104

Ayah 109

فَإِن تَوَلَّوۡاْ فَقُلۡ ءَاذَنتُكُمۡ عَلَىٰ سَوَآءٖۖ وَإِنۡ أَدۡرِيٓ أَقَرِيبٌ أَم بَعِيدٞ مَّا تُوعَدُونَ

109. But if they turn away their faces, they say, 'I have proclaimed war against you on equal basis [168] and I do not know whether that which you are promised [169] is near or far.
