Ayah 41

تَرۡهَقُهَا قَتَرَةٌ

41. Darkness will cover them.

Surah Name : Abasa   Surah Number : 80   Ayat Number: 41

Ayah 2

وَٱلَّيۡلِ إِذَا سَجَىٰ

2. and by the night when it is dark [1]

Surah Name : Ad-Dhuha   Surah Number : 93   Ayat Number: 2

Ayah 3

وَمِن شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ

3. "And from the evil of the darkness when it sets in [4]."

Surah Name : Al-Falaq   Surah Number : 113   Ayat Number: 3

Ayah 64

مُدۡهَآمَّتَانِ

64. Dark green with lush foliage [56].

Surah Name : Ar-Rahman   Surah Number : 55   Ayat Number: 64

Ayah 7

خَتَمَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمۡ وَعَلَىٰ سَمۡعِهِمۡۖ وَعَلَىٰٓ أَبۡصَٰرِهِمۡ غِشَٰوَةٞۖ وَلَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٞ

7. Allah has set a seal on their hearts [22] and on their ears, and over their eyes there is a dark covering, and for them there will be a severe torment.

Ayah 17

مَثَلُهُمۡ كَمَثَلِ ٱلَّذِي ٱسۡتَوۡقَدَ نَارٗا فَلَمَّآ أَضَآءَتۡ مَا حَوۡلَهُۥ ذَهَبَ ٱللَّهُ بِنُورِهِمۡ وَتَرَكَهُمۡ فِي ظُلُمَٰتٖ لَّا يُبۡصِرُونَ

17. Their example is like the one who kindled a fire; so when it lit up all around him, Allah took away their light and left them in darkness, where nothing is seen [33].

Ayah 19

أَوۡ كَصَيِّبٖ مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ فِيهِ ظُلُمَٰتٞ وَرَعۡدٞ وَبَرۡقٞ يَجۡعَلُونَ أَصَٰبِعَهُمۡ فِيٓ ءَاذَانِهِم مِّنَ ٱلصَّوَٰعِقِ حَذَرَ ٱلۡمَوۡتِۚ وَٱللَّهُ مُحِيطُۢ بِٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ

19. Or like a heavy rainstorm from the sky, wherein there is darkness [35], thunder, and lightning. They put their fingers in their ears because of the thunderclaps, in fear of death. And Allah encompasses the disbelievers [36].

Surah Name : Al-Baqarah   Surah Number : 2   Ayat Number: 19

Ayah 257

ٱللَّهُ وَلِيُّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ يُخۡرِجُهُم مِّنَ ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ إِلَى ٱلنُّورِۖ وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓاْ أَوۡلِيَآؤُهُمُ ٱلطَّـٰغُوتُ يُخۡرِجُونَهُم مِّنَ ٱلنُّورِ إِلَى ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِۗ أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ أَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلنَّارِۖ هُمۡ فِيهَا خَٰلِدُونَ

257. Allah is the Protector of the believers; He brings them out from darkness into light [661]. And as for those who disbelieve, their protectors are the false gods [662]; they lead them from light [663] into darkness. They are the companions of the Fire [664] and they will remain therein forever.

Surah Name : Al-Baqarah   Surah Number : 2   Ayat Number: 257

Ayah 87

وَذَا ٱلنُّونِ إِذ ذَّهَبَ مُغَٰضِبٗا فَظَنَّ أَن لَّن نَّقۡدِرَ عَلَيۡهِ فَنَادَىٰ فِي ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ أَن لَّآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّآ أَنتَ سُبۡحَٰنَكَ إِنِّي كُنتُ مِنَ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ

87. And remember Zun-Noon [130], And when he departed in anger [131], he imagined that We would not cause him any distress (132), and then he cried out in the darkness (133), there is none worthy of worship but You, Glory is to you. Indeed, I did improper act (134).

Surah Name : Al-Anbiya   Surah Number : 21   Ayat Number: 87

Ayah 10

قَالَ قَآئِلٞ مِّنۡهُمۡ لَا تَقۡتُلُواْ يُوسُفَ وَأَلۡقُوهُ فِي غَيَٰبَتِ ٱلۡجُبِّ يَلۡتَقِطۡهُ بَعۡضُ ٱلسَّيَّارَةِ إِن كُنتُمۡ فَٰعِلِينَ

10. One of them said, "Do not kill Yusuf [Joseph]; rather, cast him into a dark well so that some caravan might pick him up if you are determined to act."

Ayah 16

قُلۡ مَن رَّبُّ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ قُلِ ٱللَّهُۚ قُلۡ أَفَٱتَّخَذۡتُم مِّن دُونِهِۦٓ أَوۡلِيَآءَ لَا يَمۡلِكُونَ لِأَنفُسِهِمۡ نَفۡعٗا وَلَا ضَرّٗاۚ قُلۡ هَلۡ يَسۡتَوِي ٱلۡأَعۡمَىٰ وَٱلۡبَصِيرُ أَمۡ هَلۡ تَسۡتَوِي ٱلظُّلُمَٰتُ وَٱلنُّورُۗ أَمۡ جَعَلُواْ لِلَّهِ شُرَكَآءَ خَلَقُواْ كَخَلۡقِهِۦ فَتَشَٰبَهَ ٱلۡخَلۡقُ عَلَيۡهِمۡۚ قُلِ ٱللَّهُ خَٰلِقُ كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ وَهُوَ ٱلۡوَٰحِدُ ٱلۡقَهَّـٰرُ

16. Say, "Who is the Lord of the heavens and the earth?" Say, "Allah." Say, "Have you then taken besides Him allies who have no power to benefit or harm even themselves[43]? Say, "Are the blind and the seeing equal? Or is darkness[44] equal to light? Or have they set up associates with Allah who have created like His creation, so that the creation seems similar to them? Say, "Allah is the Creator of everything [45], and He is the One, the Overpowering."

Surah Name : Ar-Rad   Surah Number : 13   Ayat Number: 16

Ayah 40

أَوۡ كَظُلُمَٰتٖ فِي بَحۡرٖ لُّجِّيّٖ يَغۡشَىٰهُ مَوۡجٞ مِّن فَوۡقِهِۦ مَوۡجٞ مِّن فَوۡقِهِۦ سَحَابٞۚ ظُلُمَٰتُۢ بَعۡضُهَا فَوۡقَ بَعۡضٍ إِذَآ أَخۡرَجَ يَدَهُۥ لَمۡ يَكَدۡ يَرَىٰهَاۗ وَمَن لَّمۡ يَجۡعَلِ ٱللَّهُ لَهُۥ نُورٗا فَمَا لَهُۥ مِن نُّورٍ

40. Or it is like the darkness in a deep sea, above which is a wave, above the wave another wave, and above which are clouds; there are layers of darkness one upon the other. When he puts out his hand, it seems not to be visible [110]. And to whom Allah gives not light, for him there is no light anywhere [111].

Surah Name : An-Nur   Surah Number : 24   Ayat Number: 40

Ayah 63

أَمَّن يَهۡدِيكُمۡ فِي ظُلُمَٰتِ ٱلۡبَرِّ وَٱلۡبَحۡرِ وَمَن يُرۡسِلُ ٱلرِّيَٰحَ بُشۡرَۢا بَيۡنَ يَدَيۡ رَحۡمَتِهِۦٓۗ أَءِلَٰهٞ مَّعَ ٱللَّهِۚ تَعَٰلَى ٱللَّهُ عَمَّا يُشۡرِكُونَ

63. Or He Who guides you in the darkness of the land and the sea [123] and He Who sends the winds bearing good tidings before His Mercy [124]? Is there any other god along with Allah? Exalted is Allah above what they associate with Him.

Surah Name : An-Naml   Surah Number : 27   Ayat Number: 63

Ayah 43

هُوَ ٱلَّذِي يُصَلِّي عَلَيۡكُمۡ وَمَلَـٰٓئِكَتُهُۥ لِيُخۡرِجَكُم مِّنَ ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ إِلَى ٱلنُّورِۚ وَكَانَ بِٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ رَحِيمٗا

43. It is He who sends blessings on you, and so do His angels that He may take out of darkness into light [116] And He is Merciful to the believers.

Surah Name : Al-Ahzab   Surah Number : 33   Ayat Number: 43

Ayah 9

هُوَ ٱلَّذِي يُنَزِّلُ عَلَىٰ عَبۡدِهِۦٓ ءَايَٰتِۭ بَيِّنَٰتٖ لِّيُخۡرِجَكُم مِّنَ ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ إِلَى ٱلنُّورِۚ وَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِكُمۡ لَرَءُوفٞ رَّحِيمٞ

9. It is He Who reveals [24] upon His devotees clear verses so that He may bring you forth from the utter darkness to the light [25]. And surely, Allah is Compassionate and Merciful to you(26).

Surah Name : Al-Hadeed   Surah Number : 57   Ayat Number: 9

Ayah 122

أَوَمَن كَانَ مَيۡتٗا فَأَحۡيَيۡنَٰهُ وَجَعَلۡنَا لَهُۥ نُورٗا يَمۡشِي بِهِۦ فِي ٱلنَّاسِ كَمَن مَّثَلُهُۥ فِي ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ لَيۡسَ بِخَارِجٖ مِّنۡهَاۚ كَذَٰلِكَ زُيِّنَ لِلۡكَٰفِرِينَ مَا كَانُواْ يَعۡمَلُونَ

122. And is he who was dead, then We gave him life and made for him a light [270], by which he walks among mankind, like one who is in darkness [271], from which he cannot come out? Thus, in the eyes of the disbelievers, their deeds have been made fair [272].

Surah Name : Al-Anam   Surah Number : 6   Ayat Number: 122

Ayah 97

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلنُّجُومَ لِتَهۡتَدُواْ بِهَا فِي ظُلُمَٰتِ ٱلۡبَرِّ وَٱلۡبَحۡرِۗ قَدۡ فَصَّلۡنَا ٱلۡأٓيَٰتِ لِقَوۡمٖ يَعۡلَمُونَ

97. And it is He Who has made the stars for you that you may find the way in the darkness [209] of the land and the sea. We have explained the signs in detail for a people who know [210].

Surah Name : Al-Anam   Surah Number : 6   Ayat Number: 97

Ayah 76

فَلَمَّا جَنَّ عَلَيۡهِ ٱلَّيۡلُ رَءَا كَوۡكَبٗاۖ قَالَ هَٰذَا رَبِّيۖ فَلَمَّآ أَفَلَ قَالَ لَآ أُحِبُّ ٱلۡأٓفِلِينَ

76. So when the night covered him, he saw a star. He said, "This is my Lord" [153]. But when it set, he said, "I do not like those that set" [154].

Surah Name : Al-Anam   Surah Number : 6   Ayat Number: 76

Ayah 71

قُلۡ أَنَدۡعُواْ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا يَنفَعُنَا وَلَا يَضُرُّنَا وَنُرَدُّ عَلَىٰٓ أَعۡقَابِنَا بَعۡدَ إِذۡ هَدَىٰنَا ٱللَّهُ كَٱلَّذِي ٱسۡتَهۡوَتۡهُ ٱلشَّيَٰطِينُ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ حَيۡرَانَ لَهُۥٓ أَصۡحَٰبٞ يَدۡعُونَهُۥٓ إِلَى ٱلۡهُدَى ٱئۡتِنَاۗ قُلۡ إِنَّ هُدَى ٱللَّهِ هُوَ ٱلۡهُدَىٰۖ وَأُمِرۡنَا لِنُسۡلِمَ لِرَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ

71. Say, "Shall we worship besides Allah that which neither benefits us nor harms us? And shall we turn back on our heels after Allah has guided us? [143] It is like one whom the devils have seduced in the earth, confused, while his companions are calling him towards guidance. [144] Say, 'The guidance of Allah is the only guidance, and we have been commanded to submit to the Lord of all the worlds.'"

Surah Name : Al-Anam   Surah Number : 6   Ayat Number: 71

Ayah 63

قُلۡ مَن يُنَجِّيكُم مِّن ظُلُمَٰتِ ٱلۡبَرِّ وَٱلۡبَحۡرِ تَدۡعُونَهُۥ تَضَرُّعٗا وَخُفۡيَةٗ لَّئِنۡ أَنجَىٰنَا مِنۡ هَٰذِهِۦ لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلشَّـٰكِرِينَ

63. Say, "Who delivers you from the darkness of the land and the sea, when you call upon Him in humility and secretly [128], saying, 'If He saves us from this, we shall certainly be among the grateful'?"
