The summary/theme of the Surah Ibrahim:

This surah is an admonition to the disbelievers who were dismissing the message of Muhammad and devising cunning plans to crush his mission. Be that as it may, notice that impugning, scolding, and rebuking overwhelm admonitions.

Lesson learned from Surah Ibrahim:

  1. If you are grateful and thank Allah's, He will increase you in favours; but if you are ungrateful, His punishment is severe.  
  2. Shayṭ'n will dramatically turn his back on those who followed him on the Day of Judgement.  
  3. Nothing can be hidden from the Knowledge of Allah's  
  4. Never think of Allah's to be neglectful of the actions of the oppressors.  
  5. Allah's never goes against His promise.  
  6. Make it a point to say this du‘':  رَبِّ ٱجۡعَلۡنِى مُقِيمَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِى ‌ۚ رَبَّنَا وَتَقَبَّلۡ دُعَآءِ، رَبَّنَا ٱغۡفِرۡ لِى وَلِوَالِدَىَّ وَلِلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ يَوۡمَ يَقُومُ ٱلۡحِسَابُ'O my Rabb! Make me one who establishes Salaah and from my progeny too [create those who establish Salaah], and accept this prayer of mine. O our Rabb! Forgive me, my parents and the Believers on the day the accounting is established.’[1] 14:40-41  If you try to count the blessings of Allah's, you will be unable to do so.

الٓرۚ كِتَٰبٌ أَنزَلۡنَٰهُ إِلَيۡكَ لِتُخۡرِجَ ٱلنَّاسَ مِنَ ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ إِلَى ٱلنُّورِ بِإِذۡنِ رَبِّهِمۡ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطِ ٱلۡعَزِيزِ ٱلۡحَمِيدِ

Alif-Laaam-Raa; Kitaabun anzalnaahu ilaika litukhrijan-naasa minaz zulumaati ilan noori bi-izni Rabbihim ilaa siraatil 'Azeezil Hameed
Alif-Lam-Ra. Dies ist ein Buch, das Wir zu dir hinabgesandt haben, damit du die Menschen mit der Erlaubnis ihres Herrn aus den Finsternissen hinaus ins Licht bringst, auf den Weg des Allmächtigen und Lobenswürdigen,

ٱللَّهِ ٱلَّذِي لَهُۥ مَا فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِۗ وَوَيۡلٞ لِّلۡكَٰفِرِينَ مِنۡ عَذَابٖ شَدِيدٍ

Allaahil lazee lahoo maa fis samaawaati wa maa fill ard; wa wailul lilkaafireena min 'azaabin shadeed
(den Weg) Allahs, Dessen ist, was in den Himmeln und was auf der Erde. Und wehe den Ungläubigen vor einer strengen Strafe!

ٱلَّذِينَ يَسۡتَحِبُّونَ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنۡيَا عَلَى ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ وَيَصُدُّونَ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَيَبۡغُونَهَا عِوَجًاۚ أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ فِي ضَلَٰلِۭ بَعِيدٖ

Allazeena yastahibboo nal hayaatad dunyaa 'alal aakhirati wa yasuddoona 'ansabeelil laahi wa yabghoonahaa 'iwajaa; ulaaa 'ika fee dalaalin ba'eed
Diejenigen, die das diesseitige Leben mehr lieben als das Jenseits und von Allahs Weg abhalten und danach trachten, ihn krumm zu machen; sie befinden sich in weit(reichend)em Irrtum.

وَمَآ أَرۡسَلۡنَا مِن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا بِلِسَانِ قَوۡمِهِۦ لِيُبَيِّنَ لَهُمۡۖ فَيُضِلُّ ٱللَّهُ مَن يَشَآءُ وَيَهۡدِي مَن يَشَآءُۚ وَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلۡحَكِيمُ

Wa maaa arsalnaa mir Rasoolin illaa bilisaani qawmihee liyubaiyina lahum fa yudillul laahu mai yashaaa'u wa yahdee mai yashaaa'; wa Huwal 'Azeezul Hakeem
Und Wir haben keinen Gesandten gesandt, außer in der Sprache seines Volkes, damit er ihnen (die Botschaft) klar macht. Allah läßt dann in die Irre gehen, wen Er will, und leitet recht, wen Er will. Und Er ist der Allmächtige und Allweise.

وَلَقَدۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَا مُوسَىٰ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ أَنۡ أَخۡرِجۡ قَوۡمَكَ مِنَ ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ إِلَى ٱلنُّورِ وَذَكِّرۡهُم بِأَيَّىٰمِ ٱللَّهِۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَٰتٖ لِّكُلِّ صَبَّارٖ شَكُورٖ

Wa laqad arsalnaa Moosaa bi Aayaatinaa an akhrij qawmaka minaz zulumaati ilan noori wa zak kirhum bi ayyaamil laah; inna fee zaalika la aayaatil likulli sabbaarin shakoor
Und Wir sandten ja bereits Musa mit Unseren Zeichen: Bringe dein Volk aus den Finsternissen hinaus ins Licht, und erinnere sie an die Tage Allahs. Darin sind wahrlich Zeichen für jeden sehr Standhaften und sehr Dankbaren.

وَإِذۡ قَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِقَوۡمِهِ ٱذۡكُرُواْ نِعۡمَةَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيۡكُمۡ إِذۡ أَنجَىٰكُم مِّنۡ ءَالِ فِرۡعَوۡنَ يَسُومُونَكُمۡ سُوٓءَ ٱلۡعَذَابِ وَيُذَبِّحُونَ أَبۡنَآءَكُمۡ وَيَسۡتَحۡيُونَ نِسَآءَكُمۡۚ وَفِي ذَٰلِكُم بَلَآءٞ مِّن رَّبِّكُمۡ عَظِيمٞ

Wa iz qaala Moosaa liqawmihiz kuroo ni'matal laahi 'alaikum iz anjaakum min Aali Fir'awna yasoomoo nakum sooo'al 'azaabi wa yuzabbihoona abnaaa'akum wa yastahyoona nisaaa'akum; wa fee zaalikum balaaa'un mir Rabbikum 'azeem
Und als Musa zu seinem Volk sagte: Gedenkt der Gunst Allahs an euch, als Er euch vor den Leuten Fir’auns rettete, die euch eine böse Qual auferlegten, eure Söhne abschlachteten und (nur) eure Frauen am Leben ließen. Seht, darin war für euch eine gewaltige Prüfung von eurem Herrn.

وَإِذۡ تَأَذَّنَ رَبُّكُمۡ لَئِن شَكَرۡتُمۡ لَأَزِيدَنَّكُمۡۖ وَلَئِن كَفَرۡتُمۡ إِنَّ عَذَابِي لَشَدِيدٞ

Wa iz ta azzana Rabbukum la'in shakartum la azeedannakum wa la'in kafartum inna 'azaabee lashadeed
Und als euer Herr ankündigte: ,Wenn ihr dankbar seid, werde Ich euch ganz gewiß noch mehr (Gunst) erweisen. Wenn ihr jedoch undankbar seid, dann ist meine Strafe fürwahr streng.

وَقَالَ مُوسَىٰٓ إِن تَكۡفُرُوٓاْ أَنتُمۡ وَمَن فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ جَمِيعٗا فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَغَنِيٌّ حَمِيدٌ

Wa qaala Moosaaa in takfurooo antum wa man fil ardi jamee'an fa innal laaha la Ghaniyyun Hameed
Und Musa sagte: Wenn ihr undankbar seid, ihr und alle, die auf der Erde sind, so ist Allah wahrlich Unbedürftig und Lobenswürdig.

أَلَمۡ يَأۡتِكُمۡ نَبَؤُاْ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِكُمۡ قَوۡمِ نُوحٖ وَعَادٖ وَثَمُودَ وَٱلَّذِينَ مِنۢ بَعۡدِهِمۡ لَا يَعۡلَمُهُمۡ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُۚ جَآءَتۡهُمۡ رُسُلُهُم بِٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِ فَرَدُّوٓاْ أَيۡدِيَهُمۡ فِيٓ أَفۡوَٰهِهِمۡ وَقَالُوٓاْ إِنَّا كَفَرۡنَا بِمَآ أُرۡسِلۡتُم بِهِۦ وَإِنَّا لَفِي شَكّٖ مِّمَّا تَدۡعُونَنَآ إِلَيۡهِ مُرِيبٖ

Alam ya'tikum naba'ul lazeena min qablikum qawmi Noohinw wa 'Aadinw wa Samood, wallazeena mim ba'dihim; laa ya'lamuhum illallaah; jaaa'at hum Rusuluhum bilbaiyinaati faraddooo aydiyahum feee afwaahihim wa qaalooo innaa kafarnaa bimaaa ursiltum bihee wa innaa lafee shakkim mimmaa tad'oonanaaa ilaihi mureeb
Ist zu euch nicht die Kunde von denjenigen vor euch gekommen, des Volkes Nuhs, der ’Ad und der Tamud und derjenigen nach ihnen? Nur Allah kennt sie. Ihre Gesandten kamen zu ihnen mit den klaren Beweisen; sie aber steckten (vor Grimm) ihre Hände in den Mund und sagten: Wir verleugnen das, womit ihr gesandt seid, und wir sind über das, wozu ihr uns aufruft, fürwahr in einem starken Zweifel.

۞قَالَتۡ رُسُلُهُمۡ أَفِي ٱللَّهِ شَكّٞ فَاطِرِ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۖ يَدۡعُوكُمۡ لِيَغۡفِرَ لَكُم مِّن ذُنُوبِكُمۡ وَيُؤَخِّرَكُمۡ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٖ مُّسَمّٗىۚ قَالُوٓاْ إِنۡ أَنتُمۡ إِلَّا بَشَرٞ مِّثۡلُنَا تُرِيدُونَ أَن تَصُدُّونَا عَمَّا كَانَ يَعۡبُدُ ءَابَآؤُنَا فَأۡتُونَا بِسُلۡطَٰنٖ مُّبِينٖ

Qaalat Rusuluhum afillaahi shakkun faatiris samaawaati wal ardi yad'ookum liyaghfira lakum min zunoobikum wa yu'akhirakum ilaaa ajalin musammaa; qaaloo in antum illaa basharum mislunaa tureedoona an tasuddoonaa 'ammaa kaana ya'budu aabaaa'unaa fa'toonaa bi sultaanin mubeen
Ihre Gesandten sagten: Gibt es denn einen Zweifel über Allah, den Erschaffer der Himmel und der Erde, Der euch ruft, um euch (etwas) von euren Sünden zu vergeben und euch auf eine festgesetzte Frist zurückzustellen? Sie sagten: Ihr seid nur menschliche Wesen wie wir. Ihr wollt uns von dem abhalten, dem unsere Väter dienten. So bringt uns eine deutliche Ermächtigung.
