About Surah Al-Mulk

Al-Mulk (Arabic: الملك, "Sovereignty, Kingdom") is the 67th chapter (surah) of the Quran, comprising 30 verses.

The summary/theme of the surah Al-Mulk:

In this surah, Allah's many attributes are emphasized, along with the punishments awaiting those who reject Islam.

Lesson learned from surah Al-Mulk:

  1. Allah's created life and death to test us how we fare in terms of our actions.  
  2. You will never be able to find a crack in the sky.  
  3. Each time a group will be thrown into the Fire of Jahannam, the angels will ask them whether or not they were warned of this punishment. They will admit that they were warned, but they belied the Messengers.  
  4. Whether you whisper or talk loudly, Allah's knows what your hearts conceal.  
  5. How can we be assured to be safe of the earth swallowing us up as punishment from Allah's?  
  6. How can we be assured of safety from stones raining upon us as punishment from Allah's?  
  7. What if the being who gives us sustenance decides to withdraw from granting it to us?  
  8. The knowledge of the Hour is exclusively with Allah's.

Ayat 1 dari 30

تَبَٰرَكَ ٱلَّذِي بِيَدِهِ ٱلۡمُلۡكُ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ قَدِيرٌ

Wa Maryamab nata 'Imraanal lateee ahsanat farjahaa fanafakhnaa feehee mir roohinaa wa saddaqat bi kalimaati Rabbihaa wa Kutubihee wakaanat minal qaaniteen (End Juz 28)
Mahasuci Allah yang menguasai (segala) kerajaan, Dan Dia Mahakuasa atas segala sesuatu.

ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَ ٱلۡمَوۡتَ وَٱلۡحَيَوٰةَ لِيَبۡلُوَكُمۡ أَيُّكُمۡ أَحۡسَنُ عَمَلٗاۚ وَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلۡغَفُورُ

Allazee khalaqal mawta walhayaata liyabluwakum ayyukum ahsanu 'amalaa; wa huwal 'azeezul ghafoor
Yang menciptakan mati dan hidup, untuk menguji kamu, siapa di antara kamu yang lebih baik amalnya. Dan Dia Mahaperkasa, Maha Pengampun.

Ayat 3 dari 30

ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَ سَبۡعَ سَمَٰوَٰتٖ طِبَاقٗاۖ مَّا تَرَىٰ فِي خَلۡقِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ مِن تَفَٰوُتٖۖ فَٱرۡجِعِ ٱلۡبَصَرَ هَلۡ تَرَىٰ مِن فُطُورٖ

Allazee khalaqa sab'a samaawaatin tibaaqam maa taraa fee khalqir rahmaani min tafaawut farji'il basara hal taraa min futoor
Yang menciptakan tujuh langit berlapis-lapis. Tidak akan kamu lihat sesuatu yang tidak seimbang pada ciptaan Tuhan Yang Maha Pengasih. Maka lihatlah sekali lagi, adakah kamu lihat sesuatu yang cacat?

Ayat 4 dari 30

ثُمَّ ٱرۡجِعِ ٱلۡبَصَرَ كَرَّتَيۡنِ يَنقَلِبۡ إِلَيۡكَ ٱلۡبَصَرُ خَاسِئٗا وَهُوَ حَسِيرٞ

Summar ji'il basara karrataini yanqalib ilaikal basaru khaasi'anw wa huwa haseer
Kemudian ulangi pandangan(mu) sekali lagi (dan) sekali lagi, niscaya pandanganmu akan kembali kepadamu tanpa menemukan cacat dan ia (pandanganmu) dalam keadaan letih.

Ayat 5 dari 30

وَلَقَدۡ زَيَّنَّا ٱلسَّمَآءَ ٱلدُّنۡيَا بِمَصَٰبِيحَ وَجَعَلۡنَٰهَا رُجُومٗا لِّلشَّيَٰطِينِۖ وَأَعۡتَدۡنَا لَهُمۡ عَذَابَ ٱلسَّعِيرِ

Wa laqad zaiyannas samaaa'ad dunyaa bimasaa beeha wa ja'alnaahaa rujoomal lish shayaateeni wa a'tadnaa lahum 'azaabas sa'eer
Dan sungguh, telah Kami hiasi langit yang dekat dengan bintang-bintang, dan Kami jadikannya (bintang-bintang itu) sebagai alat-alat pelempar setan, dan Kami sediakan bagi mereka azab neraka yang menyala-nyala.

Ayat 6 dari 30

وَلِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ بِرَبِّهِمۡ عَذَابُ جَهَنَّمَۖ وَبِئۡسَ ٱلۡمَصِيرُ

Wa lillazeena kafaroo bi rabbihim 'azaabu jahannama wa bi'sal maseer
Dan orang-orang yang ingkar kepada Tuhannya, akan mendapat azab Jahanam. Dan itulah seburuk-buruk tempat kembali.

إِذَآ أُلۡقُواْ فِيهَا سَمِعُواْ لَهَا شَهِيقٗا وَهِيَ تَفُورُ

Izaaa ulqoo feehaa sami'oo lahaa shaheeqanw wa hiya tafoor
Apabila mereka dilemparkan ke dalamnya, mereka mendengar suara neraka yang mengerikan, sedang neraka itu membara,

Ayat 8 dari 30

تَكَادُ تَمَيَّزُ مِنَ ٱلۡغَيۡظِۖ كُلَّمَآ أُلۡقِيَ فِيهَا فَوۡجٞ سَأَلَهُمۡ خَزَنَتُهَآ أَلَمۡ يَأۡتِكُمۡ نَذِيرٞ

Takaadu tamayyazu minal ghaizz kullamaaa ulqiya feehaa fawjun sa alahum khazanatuhaaa alam ya'tikum nazeer
(neraka itu) hampir meledak karena marah. Setiap kali ada sekumpulan (orang-orang kafir) dilemparkan ke dalamnya, penjaga-penjaga (neraka itu) bertanya kepada mereka, "Apakah belum pernah ada orang yang datang memberi peringatan kepadamu (di dunia)?"

Ayat 9 dari 30

قَالُواْ بَلَىٰ قَدۡ جَآءَنَا نَذِيرٞ فَكَذَّبۡنَا وَقُلۡنَا مَا نَزَّلَ ٱللَّهُ مِن شَيۡءٍ إِنۡ أَنتُمۡ إِلَّا فِي ضَلَٰلٖ كَبِيرٖ

Qaaloo balaa qad jaaa'anaa nazeerun fakazzabnaa wa qulnaa maa nazzalal laahu min shai in in antum illaa fee dalaalin kabeer
Mereka menjawab, "Benar, sungguh, seorang pemberi peringatan telah datang kepada kami, tetapi kami mendustakan(nya) dan kami katakan, "Allah tidak menurunkan sesuatu apa pun, kamu sebenarnya di dalam kesesatan yang besar."

Ayat 10 dari 30

وَقَالُواْ لَوۡ كُنَّا نَسۡمَعُ أَوۡ نَعۡقِلُ مَا كُنَّا فِيٓ أَصۡحَٰبِ ٱلسَّعِيرِ

Wa qaaloo law kunnaa nasma'u awna'qilu maa kunnaa feee as haabis sa'eer
Dan mereka berkata, "Sekiranya (dahulu) kami mendengarkan atau memikirkan (peringatan itu) tentulah kami tidak termasuk penghuni neraka yang menyala-nyala."
