Commentary of Quran 70:29 (Surah Al-Ma'arij)

And those who guard their private parts. (Kanzul Imaan Translation)

[25] Protection of Modesty and Chastity

True believers protect their chastity by maintaining modesty in all aspects of life.
They avoid exposing themselves and refrain from looking at what is forbidden.
They not only abstain from adultery but also stay away from anything that leads to it.

Avoiding the Path to Sin

🔹 Lowering the gaze is an essential part of guarding one’s chastity.
🔹 Modesty is a shield that prevents greater sins.
🔹 Islam teaches that small acts of self-control protect from major sins, just as preventing cold safeguards against fever.
