Ayah 8

ٱلَّتِي لَمۡ يُخۡلَقۡ مِثۡلُهَا فِي ٱلۡبِلَٰدِ

8.The like of whom have never been created in any cities [8].

Ayah 11

ٱلَّذِينَ طَغَوۡاْ فِي ٱلۡبِلَٰدِ

11. Who transgressed in the cities [11].

Surah Name : Al-Fajr   Surah Number : 89   Ayat Number: 11

Ayah 1

لَآ أُقۡسِمُ بِهَٰذَا ٱلۡبَلَدِ

1.Indeed, I swear by this city (Makkah).

Surah Name : Al-Balad   Surah Number : 90   Ayat Number: 1

Ayah 2

وَأَنتَ حِلُّۢ بِهَٰذَا ٱلۡبَلَدِ

2. As (O Beloved Prophet) you dwell (2) in this city.

Surah Name : Al-Balad   Surah Number : 90   Ayat Number: 2

Ayah 3

وَهَٰذَا ٱلۡبَلَدِ ٱلۡأَمِينِ

3.And by the secure city [3] (Makkah).

Surah Name : At-Tin   Surah Number : 95   Ayat Number: 3

Ayah 13

وَٱضۡرِبۡ لَهُم مَّثَلًا أَصۡحَٰبَ ٱلۡقَرۡيَةِ إِذۡ جَآءَهَا ٱلۡمُرۡسَلُونَ

13. And narrate to their signs of the people of a city [16], when there came to them, Messengers.

Ayah 58

وَإِذۡ قُلۡنَا ٱدۡخُلُواْ هَٰذِهِ ٱلۡقَرۡيَةَ فَكُلُواْ مِنۡهَا حَيۡثُ شِئۡتُمۡ رَغَدٗا وَٱدۡخُلُواْ ٱلۡبَابَ سُجَّدٗا وَقُولُواْ حِطَّةٞ نَّغۡفِرۡ لَكُمۡ خَطَٰيَٰكُمۡۚ وَسَنَزِيدُ ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِينَ

58. And recall when We said: "Enter this city [Jerusalem] [104] and eat from it wherever you will, in abundance, and enter the gate with bowed heads [105] saying: 'Forgive us our sins.' We will then forgive you your sins, and We will give added reward to the doers of good."

Surah Name : Al-Baqarah   Surah Number : 2   Ayat Number: 58

Ayah 249

فَلَمَّا فَصَلَ طَالُوتُ بِٱلۡجُنُودِ قَالَ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ مُبۡتَلِيكُم بِنَهَرٖ فَمَن شَرِبَ مِنۡهُ فَلَيۡسَ مِنِّي وَمَن لَّمۡ يَطۡعَمۡهُ فَإِنَّهُۥ مِنِّيٓ إِلَّا مَنِ ٱغۡتَرَفَ غُرۡفَةَۢ بِيَدِهِۦۚ فَشَرِبُواْ مِنۡهُ إِلَّا قَلِيلٗا مِّنۡهُمۡۚ فَلَمَّا جَاوَزَهُۥ هُوَ وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ مَعَهُۥ قَالُواْ لَا طَاقَةَ لَنَا ٱلۡيَوۡمَ بِجَالُوتَ وَجُنُودِهِۦۚ قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ يَظُنُّونَ أَنَّهُم مُّلَٰقُواْ ٱللَّهِ كَم مِّن فِئَةٖ قَلِيلَةٍ غَلَبَتۡ فِئَةٗ كَثِيرَةَۢ بِإِذۡنِ ٱللَّهِۗ وَٱللَّهُ مَعَ ٱلصَّـٰبِرِينَ

249. Then when Talut left the city with his army, he said: "Surely, Allah will test you [624] with a stream. Whoso drinks water from it is not of me [625], and whoso does not drink of it is mine [626], except he who takes a sip with his hand [627]. Yet, all drank of it except a few of them [628]. When he (Talut) and the believers with him [629] crossed the stream, they said: "We have no power [630] against Jalut (Goliath) and his armies." Those who were sure to meet [631] Allah said: "That often a small party has triumphed over a large party by Allah's Command [632]. And, verily, Allah is with the steadfast (patient) [633]."

Surah Name : Al-Baqarah   Surah Number : 2   Ayat Number: 249

Ayah 19

وَكَذَٰلِكَ بَعَثۡنَٰهُمۡ لِيَتَسَآءَلُواْ بَيۡنَهُمۡۚ قَالَ قَآئِلٞ مِّنۡهُمۡ كَمۡ لَبِثۡتُمۡۖ قَالُواْ لَبِثۡنَا يَوۡمًا أَوۡ بَعۡضَ يَوۡمٖۚ قَالُواْ رَبُّكُمۡ أَعۡلَمُ بِمَا لَبِثۡتُمۡ فَٱبۡعَثُوٓاْ أَحَدَكُم بِوَرِقِكُمۡ هَٰذِهِۦٓ إِلَى ٱلۡمَدِينَةِ فَلۡيَنظُرۡ أَيُّهَآ أَزۡكَىٰ طَعَامٗا فَلۡيَأۡتِكُم بِرِزۡقٖ مِّنۡهُ وَلۡيَتَلَطَّفۡ وَلَا يُشۡعِرَنَّ بِكُمۡ أَحَدًا

19. And likewise We did rouse them that they might question [36] one another. A spokesman among them said [37], “How long have you stayed here?” They replied, “We have stayed a day or part of a day [38].” They said, “Your Lord knows best how long you have stayed [39]. Now send one of you with this silver coin to the city [40] and let him find out which food is purer [41], and let him bring you provision from it and let him be cautious [43], and not let anyone know about you [43].

Surah Name : Al-Kahf   Surah Number : 18   Ayat Number: 19

Ayah 82

وَأَمَّا ٱلۡجِدَارُ فَكَانَ لِغُلَٰمَيۡنِ يَتِيمَيۡنِ فِي ٱلۡمَدِينَةِ وَكَانَ تَحۡتَهُۥ كَنزٞ لَّهُمَا وَكَانَ أَبُوهُمَا صَٰلِحٗا فَأَرَادَ رَبُّكَ أَن يَبۡلُغَآ أَشُدَّهُمَا وَيَسۡتَخۡرِجَا كَنزَهُمَا رَحۡمَةٗ مِّن رَّبِّكَۚ وَمَا فَعَلۡتُهُۥ عَنۡ أَمۡرِيۚ ذَٰلِكَ تَأۡوِيلُ مَا لَمۡ تَسۡطِع عَّلَيۡهِ صَبۡرٗا

82. And as for the wall, it belonged to two orphan lads in the city, and beneath it was their treasure, and their father was a righteous man. So your Lord desired [187] that they should reach their maturity [188] and extract their treasure as a mercy [189] from your Lord. And I did not do it by my own command [190]. This is the interpretation of that which you could not bear patiently [191].

Surah Name : Al-Kahf   Surah Number : 18   Ayat Number: 82

Ayah 34

إِنَّا مُنزِلُونَ عَلَىٰٓ أَهۡلِ هَٰذِهِ ٱلۡقَرۡيَةِ رِجۡزٗا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَفۡسُقُونَ

34. Indeed, We are going to bring down upon the people of this city a torment [84] from the heavens, the recompense of their disobedience.

Ayah 30

۞وَقَالَ نِسۡوَةٞ فِي ٱلۡمَدِينَةِ ٱمۡرَأَتُ ٱلۡعَزِيزِ تُرَٰوِدُ فَتَىٰهَا عَن نَّفۡسِهِۦۖ قَدۡ شَغَفَهَا حُبًّاۖ إِنَّا لَنَرَىٰهَا فِي ضَلَٰلٖ مُّبِينٖ

30. And women in the city said, "The wife of the Aziz is enticing her servant to herself. Indeed, she is deeply in love with him. We see her in clear error[64]."

Surah Name : Yusuf   Surah Number : 12   Ayat Number: 30

Ayah 109

وَمَآ أَرۡسَلۡنَا مِن قَبۡلِكَ إِلَّا رِجَالٗا نُّوحِيٓ إِلَيۡهِم مِّنۡ أَهۡلِ ٱلۡقُرَىٰٓۗ أَفَلَمۡ يَسِيرُواْ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ فَيَنظُرُواْ كَيۡفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡۗ وَلَدَارُ ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ خَيۡرٞ لِّلَّذِينَ ٱتَّقَوۡاْۚ أَفَلَا تَعۡقِلُونَ

109. And We did not send before you except men [226] to whom We revealed, from the people of the towns. Have they not traveled in the land to see how was the end [227] of those before them? And the home of the Hereafter is better for those who are mindful [228]. Will you not then understand?

Surah Name : Yusuf   Surah Number : 12   Ayat Number: 109

Ayah 111

قَالُوٓاْ أَرۡجِهۡ وَأَخَاهُ وَأَرۡسِلۡ فِي ٱلۡمَدَآئِنِ حَٰشِرِينَ

111. They said: "Delay him and his brother, and send into the cities gatherers [247]."

Surah Name : Al-Araf   Surah Number : 7   Ayat Number: 111

Ayah 123

قَالَ فِرۡعَوۡنُ ءَامَنتُم بِهِۦ قَبۡلَ أَنۡ ءَاذَنَ لَكُمۡۖ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَمَكۡرٞ مَّكَرۡتُمُوهُ فِي ٱلۡمَدِينَةِ لِتُخۡرِجُواْ مِنۡهَآ أَهۡلَهَاۖ فَسَوۡفَ تَعۡلَمُونَ

123. Pharaoh said: "You have accepted faith in Him before I permitted you [256]. Indeed, this is a trick you have planned [257] in the city to expel its people from it, so soon you will know."

Surah Name : Al-Araf   Surah Number : 7   Ayat Number: 123

Ayah 13

وَكَأَيِّن مِّن قَرۡيَةٍ هِيَ أَشَدُّ قُوَّةٗ مِّن قَرۡيَتِكَ ٱلَّتِيٓ أَخۡرَجَتۡكَ أَهۡلَكۡنَٰهُمۡ فَلَا نَاصِرَ لَهُمۡ

13.And how many a city that was stronger in might than your city, We have destroyed then, and they had no helper [32].

Surah Name : Muhammad   Surah Number : 47   Ayat Number: 13

Ayah 7

وَتَحۡمِلُ أَثۡقَالَكُمۡ إِلَىٰ بَلَدٖ لَّمۡ تَكُونُواْ بَٰلِغِيهِ إِلَّا بِشِقِّ ٱلۡأَنفُسِۚ إِنَّ رَبَّكُمۡ لَرَءُوفٞ رَّحِيمٞ

7. And they carry your burdens to a land you could not reach except with great difficulty [9]. Indeed, your Lord is Most Kind and Most Merciful [10].

Surah Name : An-Nahl   Surah Number : 16   Ayat Number: 7

Ayah 37

ٱرۡجِعۡ إِلَيۡهِمۡ فَلَنَأۡتِيَنَّهُم بِجُنُودٖ لَّا قِبَلَ لَهُم بِهَا وَلَنُخۡرِجَنَّهُم مِّنۡهَآ أَذِلَّةٗ وَهُمۡ صَٰغِرُونَ

37. Return to them [72]. We will bring to them an army they cannot withstand, and we shall drive them out of the city in disgrace [73].

Surah Name : An-Naml   Surah Number : 27   Ayat Number: 37

Ayah 48

وَكَانَ فِي ٱلۡمَدِينَةِ تِسۡعَةُ رَهۡطٖ يُفۡسِدُونَ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَلَا يُصۡلِحُونَ

48. And there were nine [97] persons in the city making mischief in the land and did not reform [98].

Surah Name : An-Naml   Surah Number : 27   Ayat Number: 48

Ayah 91

إِنَّمَآ أُمِرۡتُ أَنۡ أَعۡبُدَ رَبَّ هَٰذِهِ ٱلۡبَلۡدَةِ ٱلَّذِي حَرَّمَهَا وَلَهُۥ كُلُّ شَيۡءٖۖ وَأُمِرۡتُ أَنۡ أَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُسۡلِمِينَ

91. I have been commanded only to worship the Lord [169] of this city, Who has sanctified it [170] and to whom belongs everything, and I have been commanded to be among the Muslims [171].
