Ayah 21

وَكَيۡفَ تَأۡخُذُونَهُۥ وَقَدۡ أَفۡضَىٰ بَعۡضُكُمۡ إِلَىٰ بَعۡضٖ وَأَخَذۡنَ مِنكُم مِّيثَٰقًا غَلِيظٗا

21. And how could you take it when each of you has become unveiled [79] before one another and they have taken from you a firm covenant [80].

Surah Name : An-Nisa   Surah Number : 4   Ayat Number: 21

Ayah 154

وَرَفَعۡنَا فَوۡقَهُمُ ٱلطُّورَ بِمِيثَٰقِهِمۡ وَقُلۡنَا لَهُمُ ٱدۡخُلُواْ ٱلۡبَابَ سُجَّدٗا وَقُلۡنَا لَهُمۡ لَا تَعۡدُواْ فِي ٱلسَّبۡتِ وَأَخَذۡنَا مِنۡهُم مِّيثَٰقًا غَلِيظٗا

154. And then We raised Mount Tur over them for taking a covenant [444] with them, and said to them: "Enter the gate [445] prostrating." And We said to them: "Do not transgress in the matter of Sabbath [446]." And We took from them a firm covenant.

Ayah 155

فَبِمَا نَقۡضِهِم مِّيثَٰقَهُمۡ وَكُفۡرِهِم بِـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ وَقَتۡلِهِمُ ٱلۡأَنۢبِيَآءَ بِغَيۡرِ حَقّٖ وَقَوۡلِهِمۡ قُلُوبُنَا غُلۡفُۢۚ بَلۡ طَبَعَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيۡهَا بِكُفۡرِهِمۡ فَلَا يُؤۡمِنُونَ إِلَّا قَلِيلٗا

155. Then We cursed them because they violated the covenant and that they denied [447] the signs of Allah, and killed the Prophets [448] unjustly, and for their saying: "Our hearts are wrapped." But Allah has sealed their hearts [449] due to their disbelief [450], so they believe not, except for a few.

Ayah 27

ٱلَّذِينَ يَنقُضُونَ عَهۡدَ ٱللَّهِ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ مِيثَٰقِهِۦ وَيَقۡطَعُونَ مَآ أَمَرَ ٱللَّهُ بِهِۦٓ أَن يُوصَلَ وَيُفۡسِدُونَ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلۡخَٰسِرُونَ

27. Those who break the covenant of Allah after [52] solemnly confirming it, and sever that which Allah has ordered [53] to be joined, and cause mischief on earth—these are the ones who are the losers.

Ayah 40

يَٰبَنِيٓ إِسۡرَـٰٓءِيلَ ٱذۡكُرُواْ نِعۡمَتِيَ ٱلَّتِيٓ أَنۡعَمۡتُ عَلَيۡكُمۡ وَأَوۡفُواْ بِعَهۡدِيٓ أُوفِ بِعَهۡدِكُمۡ وَإِيَّـٰيَ فَٱرۡهَبُونِ

40. O Children of Israel, remember My favor [78] which I have bestowed upon you and fulfill your part of the covenant with Me; then I will fulfill My part of the covenant with you. And fear none but Me.

Surah Name : Al-Baqarah   Surah Number : 2   Ayat Number: 40

Ayah 80

وَقَالُواْ لَن تَمَسَّنَا ٱلنَّارُ إِلَّآ أَيَّامٗا مَّعۡدُودَةٗۚ قُلۡ أَتَّخَذۡتُمۡ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ عَهۡدٗا فَلَن يُخۡلِفَ ٱللَّهُ عَهۡدَهُۥٓۖ أَمۡ تَقُولُونَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا تَعۡلَمُونَ

80. And they say: "Never will the fire touch us, except for a few [143] days." Say: "Have you taken a covenant with Allah, that Allah will not break His covenant [144]? Or do you say about Allah what you do not know?" [145]

Ayah 83

وَإِذۡ أَخَذۡنَا مِيثَٰقَ بَنِيٓ إِسۡرَـٰٓءِيلَ لَا تَعۡبُدُونَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهَ وَبِٱلۡوَٰلِدَيۡنِ إِحۡسَانٗا وَذِي ٱلۡقُرۡبَىٰ وَٱلۡيَتَٰمَىٰ وَٱلۡمَسَٰكِينِ وَقُولُواْ لِلنَّاسِ حُسۡنٗا وَأَقِيمُواْ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتُواْ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ ثُمَّ تَوَلَّيۡتُمۡ إِلَّا قَلِيلٗا مِّنكُمۡ وَأَنتُم مُّعۡرِضُونَ

83. And (recall) when We took the covenant [149] from the children of Israel: that you worship none but Allah, and be kind to your parents [150] and to your relatives and the orphans [151] and the needy, and speak to the people [152] in a good manner, and establish the prayer and give the Zakaat [153]. Then you turned away, except a few [154] of you. Indeed, you are the ones who turn away.

Ayah 84

وَإِذۡ أَخَذۡنَا مِيثَٰقَكُمۡ لَا تَسۡفِكُونَ دِمَآءَكُمۡ وَلَا تُخۡرِجُونَ أَنفُسَكُم مِّن دِيَٰرِكُمۡ ثُمَّ أَقۡرَرۡتُمۡ وَأَنتُمۡ تَشۡهَدُونَ

84. And (recall) when We took your covenant [155] (saying): "Do not shed your (one another's) blood, nor expel one another from your towns". Then you acknowledged this while you were witness to it.

Ayah 93

وَإِذۡ أَخَذۡنَا مِيثَٰقَكُمۡ وَرَفَعۡنَا فَوۡقَكُمُ ٱلطُّورَ خُذُواْ مَآ ءَاتَيۡنَٰكُم بِقُوَّةٖ وَٱسۡمَعُواْۖ قَالُواْ سَمِعۡنَا وَعَصَيۡنَا وَأُشۡرِبُواْ فِي قُلُوبِهِمُ ٱلۡعِجۡلَ بِكُفۡرِهِمۡۚ قُلۡ بِئۡسَمَا يَأۡمُرُكُم بِهِۦٓ إِيمَٰنُكُمۡ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤۡمِنِينَ

93. And (recall) when We took your covenant and raised above you the Mount Tur (saying): "Hold firmly onto what We have given you and listen." They said: "We heard, but we disobeyed." [177] And their hearts were absorbed (in the worship) of the calf because of their disbelief. [178] Say, "How wretched is that which your faith enjoins upon you, if you are indeed believers." [179]

Surah Name : Al-Baqarah   Surah Number : 2   Ayat Number: 93

Ayah 8

وَٱلَّذِينَ هُمۡ لِأَمَٰنَٰتِهِمۡ وَعَهۡدِهِمۡ رَٰعُونَ

8. And those who regard their trusts and their covenant [8].

Surah Name : Al-Muminun   Surah Number : 23   Ayat Number: 8

Ayah 78

أَطَّلَعَ ٱلۡغَيۡبَ أَمِ ٱتَّخَذَ عِندَ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ عَهۡدٗا

78. Has he looked into the unseen, or has he taken a covenant with the Most Affectionate?.

Surah Name : Maryam   Surah Number : 19   Ayat Number: 78

Ayah 87

لَّا يَمۡلِكُونَ ٱلشَّفَٰعَةَ إِلَّا مَنِ ٱتَّخَذَ عِندَ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ عَهۡدٗا

87. They do not possess any intercession [150], except for those who have taken a covenant with the Most Affectionate [151].

Surah Name : Maryam   Surah Number : 19   Ayat Number: 87

Ayah 56

ٱلَّذِينَ عَٰهَدتَّ مِنۡهُمۡ ثُمَّ يَنقُضُونَ عَهۡدَهُمۡ فِي كُلِّ مَرَّةٖ وَهُمۡ لَا يَتَّقُونَ

56. Those with whom you had entered into a covenant, then they break their covenant every time, and they do not fear [129].

Surah Name : Al-Anfal   Surah Number : 8   Ayat Number: 56

Ayah 58

وَإِمَّا تَخَافَنَّ مِن قَوۡمٍ خِيَانَةٗ فَٱنۢبِذۡ إِلَيۡهِمۡ عَلَىٰ سَوَآءٍۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلۡخَآئِنِينَ

58. If you fear treachery from any people, throw back to them their covenant on equal basis [131]. Surely, the treacherous are not liked by Allah.

Surah Name : Al-Anfal   Surah Number : 8   Ayat Number: 58

Ayah 25

وَٱلَّذِينَ يَنقُضُونَ عَهۡدَ ٱللَّهِ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ مِيثَٰقِهِۦ وَيَقۡطَعُونَ مَآ أَمَرَ ٱللَّهُ بِهِۦٓ أَن يُوصَلَ وَيُفۡسِدُونَ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ لَهُمُ ٱللَّعۡنَةُ وَلَهُمۡ سُوٓءُ ٱلدَّارِ

25. And those who break [72] the covenant of Allah after its confirmation, and sever [73] what Allah has commanded to be joined, and cause corruption in the land [74], those will have the curse upon them, and for them is the evil abode.

Surah Name : Ar-Rad   Surah Number : 13   Ayat Number: 25

Ayah 134

وَلَمَّا وَقَعَ عَلَيۡهِمُ ٱلرِّجۡزُ قَالُواْ يَٰمُوسَى ٱدۡعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ بِمَا عَهِدَ عِندَكَۖ لَئِن كَشَفۡتَ عَنَّا ٱلرِّجۡزَ لَنُؤۡمِنَنَّ لَكَ وَلَنُرۡسِلَنَّ مَعَكَ بَنِيٓ إِسۡرَـٰٓءِيلَ

134. And when the punishment descended upon them, they said: "O Musa, pray to your Lord on our behalf, by that covenant He has with you [281]. Surely, if you remove this torment from us [282], we will certainly believe in you and will send with you the Children of Israel [283]."

Surah Name : Al-Araf   Surah Number : 7   Ayat Number: 134

Ayah 169

فَخَلَفَ مِنۢ بَعۡدِهِمۡ خَلۡفٞ وَرِثُواْ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ يَأۡخُذُونَ عَرَضَ هَٰذَا ٱلۡأَدۡنَىٰ وَيَقُولُونَ سَيُغۡفَرُ لَنَا وَإِن يَأۡتِهِمۡ عَرَضٞ مِّثۡلُهُۥ يَأۡخُذُوهُۚ أَلَمۡ يُؤۡخَذۡ عَلَيۡهِم مِّيثَٰقُ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ أَن لَّا يَقُولُواْ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ إِلَّا ٱلۡحَقَّ وَدَرَسُواْ مَا فِيهِۗ وَٱلدَّارُ ٱلۡأٓخِرَةُ خَيۡرٞ لِّلَّذِينَ يَتَّقُونَۚ أَفَلَا تَعۡقِلُونَ

169.Then in their place came such degenerate successors [386] who inherited the Book. They took the goods of this world [387] and said: "Now we shall be forgiven (388) our sins. But if more fortunes like that came to them, they would take them (389) Was not the covenant of the Book taken from them, that they should say nothing concerning Allah, but the truth (390), and they have read that? And, indeed, the final abode is better for the God-fearing. Have you then no wisdom (391)?

Surah Name : Al-Araf   Surah Number : 7   Ayat Number: 169

Ayah 7

وَإِذۡ أَخَذۡنَا مِنَ ٱلنَّبِيِّـۧنَ مِيثَٰقَهُمۡ وَمِنكَ وَمِن نُّوحٖ وَإِبۡرَٰهِيمَ وَمُوسَىٰ وَعِيسَى ٱبۡنِ مَرۡيَمَۖ وَأَخَذۡنَا مِنۡهُم مِّيثَٰقًا غَلِيظٗا

7.And O Beloved! Remember when We took covenant [18] from the Prophets, and from you, and from Nuh and Ebrahim and Musa and Isa son of Mary. And We took from [19] them a firm covenant.

Surah Name : Al-Ahzab   Surah Number : 33   Ayat Number: 7

Ayah 81

وَإِذۡ أَخَذَ ٱللَّهُ مِيثَٰقَ ٱلنَّبِيِّـۧنَ لَمَآ ءَاتَيۡتُكُم مِّن كِتَٰبٖ وَحِكۡمَةٖ ثُمَّ جَآءَكُمۡ رَسُولٞ مُّصَدِّقٞ لِّمَا مَعَكُمۡ لَتُؤۡمِنُنَّ بِهِۦ وَلَتَنصُرُنَّهُۥۚ قَالَ ءَأَقۡرَرۡتُمۡ وَأَخَذۡتُمۡ عَلَىٰ ذَٰلِكُمۡ إِصۡرِيۖ قَالُوٓاْ أَقۡرَرۡنَاۚ قَالَ فَٱشۡهَدُواْ وَأَنَا۠ مَعَكُم مِّنَ ٱلشَّـٰهِدِينَ

81. And recall when Allah took from the Prophets their covenant [175]—whatever I should give you of the Scripture and wisdom—then comes [176] to you the Messenger confirming what is with you [177]. Then you shall surely believe[178] in him and help him[179] . Allah said: "Do you agree and take this as My firm covenant, binding upon you?" They said: "We agree[180]" . Then Allah said: "Then be witnesses, and I am with you among the witnesses" .

Surah Name : Al Imran   Surah Number : 3   Ayat Number: 81

Ayah 152

وَلَا تَقۡرَبُواْ مَالَ ٱلۡيَتِيمِ إِلَّا بِٱلَّتِي هِيَ أَحۡسَنُ حَتَّىٰ يَبۡلُغَ أَشُدَّهُۥۚ وَأَوۡفُواْ ٱلۡكَيۡلَ وَٱلۡمِيزَانَ بِٱلۡقِسۡطِۖ لَا نُكَلِّفُ نَفۡسًا إِلَّا وُسۡعَهَاۖ وَإِذَا قُلۡتُمۡ فَٱعۡدِلُواْ وَلَوۡ كَانَ ذَا قُرۡبَىٰۖ وَبِعَهۡدِ ٱللَّهِ أَوۡفُواْۚ ذَٰلِكُمۡ وَصَّىٰكُم بِهِۦ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَذَكَّرُونَ

152. And do not approach the property of orphans except in the best manner until they reach maturity [356]. And give full measure and weight in justice [357]. We do not burden a soul beyond its capacity [358]. And when you speak, be just, even if it concerns a relative [359]. And fulfill your covenant with Allah [360]. This is what He has enjoined upon you, that perhaps you may remember [361].
