Ayah 19

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ لَا يَحِلُّ لَكُمۡ أَن تَرِثُواْ ٱلنِّسَآءَ كَرۡهٗاۖ وَلَا تَعۡضُلُوهُنَّ لِتَذۡهَبُواْ بِبَعۡضِ مَآ ءَاتَيۡتُمُوهُنَّ إِلَّآ أَن يَأۡتِينَ بِفَٰحِشَةٖ مُّبَيِّنَةٖۚ وَعَاشِرُوهُنَّ بِٱلۡمَعۡرُوفِۚ فَإِن كَرِهۡتُمُوهُنَّ فَعَسَىٰٓ أَن تَكۡرَهُواْ شَيۡـٔٗا وَيَجۡعَلَ ٱللَّهُ فِيهِ خَيۡرٗا كَثِيرٗا

19. O you who believe! It is not lawful for you to inherit women forcibly [71]. Do not detain them wrongfully with the intention that what you have given [72] them as dower unless they commit flagrant indecency (73) (adultery). Treat them with kindness. Then if you dislike them, it is likely that you dislike something wherein Allah has placed much good [74].

Ayah 22

وَلَا تَنكِحُواْ مَا نَكَحَ ءَابَآؤُكُم مِّنَ ٱلنِّسَآءِ إِلَّا مَا قَدۡ سَلَفَۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ فَٰحِشَةٗ وَمَقۡتٗا وَسَآءَ سَبِيلًا

22. And do not marry those (women) whom your fathers have married [81], except what has already passed [82]. Indeed, that is an act of indecency, hateful, and a very evil way.

Ayah 25

وَمَن لَّمۡ يَسۡتَطِعۡ مِنكُمۡ طَوۡلًا أَن يَنكِحَ ٱلۡمُحۡصَنَٰتِ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنَٰتِ فَمِن مَّا مَلَكَتۡ أَيۡمَٰنُكُم مِّن فَتَيَٰتِكُمُ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنَٰتِۚ وَٱللَّهُ أَعۡلَمُ بِإِيمَٰنِكُمۚ بَعۡضُكُم مِّنۢ بَعۡضٖۚ فَٱنكِحُوهُنَّ بِإِذۡنِ أَهۡلِهِنَّ وَءَاتُوهُنَّ أُجُورَهُنَّ بِٱلۡمَعۡرُوفِ مُحۡصَنَٰتٍ غَيۡرَ مُسَٰفِحَٰتٖ وَلَا مُتَّخِذَٰتِ أَخۡدَانٖۚ فَإِذَآ أُحۡصِنَّ فَإِنۡ أَتَيۡنَ بِفَٰحِشَةٖ فَعَلَيۡهِنَّ نِصۡفُ مَا عَلَى ٱلۡمُحۡصَنَٰتِ مِنَ ٱلۡعَذَابِۚ ذَٰلِكَ لِمَنۡ خَشِيَ ٱلۡعَنَتَ مِنكُمۡۚ وَأَن تَصۡبِرُواْ خَيۡرٞ لَّكُمۡۗ وَٱللَّهُ غَفُورٞ رَّحِيمٞ

25. And whoever amongst you does not have the means to marry free believing women, then let him marry such of the believing handmaids [103] who are the possession of your right hand. And Allah knows your faith very well. You are all alike (in religion). Therefore, marry them [104] with the permission of their masters [105], and give them their dowries [106] according to the fair convention for bringing in marriage, being honorable, pure, and chaste, but neither for lust nor making lovers [107]. And when they are wedded, if they commit any act of indecency, then on them the punishment is half [108] of that of free women [109]. This (permission of marriage) is for those among you who are afraid of adultery, but it is better for you to have patience [110]. And Allah is Most Forgiving, Merciful.

Surah Name : An-Nisa   Surah Number : 4   Ayat Number: 25

Ayah 169

إِنَّمَا يَأۡمُرُكُم بِٱلسُّوٓءِ وَٱلۡفَحۡشَآءِ وَأَن تَقُولُواْ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا تَعۡلَمُونَ

169. He (the devil) only commands you to do evil and indecency [359], and to say about Allah that which you do not know[360].

Ayah 28

وَلُوطًا إِذۡ قَالَ لِقَوۡمِهِۦٓ إِنَّكُمۡ لَتَأۡتُونَ ٱلۡفَٰحِشَةَ مَا سَبَقَكُم بِهَا مِنۡ أَحَدٖ مِّنَ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ

28. And when Lut said to his people [65], "Indeed, you commit indecency which none among the entire world has done before you" [66].

Ayah 24

وَلَقَدۡ هَمَّتۡ بِهِۦۖ وَهَمَّ بِهَا لَوۡلَآ أَن رَّءَا بُرۡهَٰنَ رَبِّهِۦۚ كَذَٰلِكَ لِنَصۡرِفَ عَنۡهُ ٱلسُّوٓءَ وَٱلۡفَحۡشَآءَۚ إِنَّهُۥ مِنۡ عِبَادِنَا ٱلۡمُخۡلَصِينَ

24. And no doubt, the woman desired him, and he would have desired her too if he had not seen the proof [50] of his Lord. Thus, We did this to avert [51] from him evil and indecency. Indeed, he is one of Our chosen servants.

Ayah 21

۞يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ لَا تَتَّبِعُواْ خُطُوَٰتِ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنِۚ وَمَن يَتَّبِعۡ خُطُوَٰتِ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنِ فَإِنَّهُۥ يَأۡمُرُ بِٱلۡفَحۡشَآءِ وَٱلۡمُنكَرِۚ وَلَوۡلَا فَضۡلُ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيۡكُمۡ وَرَحۡمَتُهُۥ مَا زَكَىٰ مِنكُم مِّنۡ أَحَدٍ أَبَدٗا وَلَٰكِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُزَكِّي مَن يَشَآءُۗ وَٱللَّهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٞ

21. O believers; follow not the footsteps of the devil (Satan) [37]. And whoever follows the footsteps of the devil (Satan), then he will indeed tell you only indecency and evil things [38]. And if there had not been the grace of Allah and His mercy upon you, none of you could have ever been cleansed, but Allah cleanses whosoever He likes. And Allah is Hearing and knowing [39].

Surah Name : An-Nur   Surah Number : 24   Ayat Number: 21

Ayah 28

وَإِذَا فَعَلُواْ فَٰحِشَةٗ قَالُواْ وَجَدۡنَا عَلَيۡهَآ ءَابَآءَنَا وَٱللَّهُ أَمَرَنَا بِهَاۗ قُلۡ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَأۡمُرُ بِٱلۡفَحۡشَآءِۖ أَتَقُولُونَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا تَعۡلَمُونَ

28. And when they commit a shameful deed [55], they say, "We found our forefathers doing it, and Allah has commanded us to do it" [56]. Say, "Indeed, Allah does not command indecency. Do you say about Allah what you do not know?" [57].

Surah Name : Al-Araf   Surah Number : 7   Ayat Number: 28

Ayah 33

قُلۡ إِنَّمَا حَرَّمَ رَبِّيَ ٱلۡفَوَٰحِشَ مَا ظَهَرَ مِنۡهَا وَمَا بَطَنَ وَٱلۡإِثۡمَ وَٱلۡبَغۡيَ بِغَيۡرِ ٱلۡحَقِّ وَأَن تُشۡرِكُواْ بِٱللَّهِ مَا لَمۡ يُنَزِّلۡ بِهِۦ سُلۡطَٰنٗا وَأَن تَقُولُواْ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا تَعۡلَمُونَ

33. Please declare: "My Lord has forbidden indecencies [69] which are open and which are hidden [70]. And sins, and unjust excesses, and that you associate with Allah that for which He has not sent down any warrant [71], and that you say of Allah what you know not [72].

Surah Name : Al-Araf   Surah Number : 7   Ayat Number: 33

Ayah 80

وَلُوطًا إِذۡ قَالَ لِقَوۡمِهِۦٓ أَتَأۡتُونَ ٱلۡفَٰحِشَةَ مَا سَبَقَكُم بِهَا مِنۡ أَحَدٖ مِّنَ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ

80. And We sent Lut [194] when he said to his people: "Do you commit that indecency [195] which was not committed by anyone in the world before you?" [196].

Surah Name : Al-Araf   Surah Number : 7   Ayat Number: 80

Ayah 90

۞إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَأۡمُرُ بِٱلۡعَدۡلِ وَٱلۡإِحۡسَٰنِ وَإِيتَآيِٕ ذِي ٱلۡقُرۡبَىٰ وَيَنۡهَىٰ عَنِ ٱلۡفَحۡشَآءِ وَٱلۡمُنكَرِ وَٱلۡبَغۡيِۚ يَعِظُكُمۡ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَذَكَّرُونَ

90. Verily, Allah commands [200] with justice and good dealings and has given you close relatives [201], and He has forbidden you from indecency, wickedness [202], and being rebellious. He admonishes you that you should be mindful.

Surah Name : An-Nahl   Surah Number : 16   Ayat Number: 90

Ayah 54

وَلُوطًا إِذۡ قَالَ لِقَوۡمِهِۦٓ أَتَأۡتُونَ ٱلۡفَٰحِشَةَ وَأَنتُمۡ تُبۡصِرُونَ

54. And to Lut, when he said to his people [107], "Do you come to indecency while you are seeing?"

Surah Name : An-Naml   Surah Number : 27   Ayat Number: 54

Ayah 30

يَٰنِسَآءَ ٱلنَّبِيِّ مَن يَأۡتِ مِنكُنَّ بِفَٰحِشَةٖ مُّبَيِّنَةٖ يُضَٰعَفۡ لَهَا ٱلۡعَذَابُ ضِعۡفَيۡنِۚ وَكَانَ ذَٰلِكَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ يَسِيرٗا

30. O wives of the Prophet! Whoso of you dares [74] to do open indecency (against modesty) shall have double (75) punishment in comparison to others. And this is easy (76) for Allah.

Surah Name : Al-Ahzab   Surah Number : 33   Ayat Number: 30

Ayah 135

وَٱلَّذِينَ إِذَا فَعَلُواْ فَٰحِشَةً أَوۡ ظَلَمُوٓاْ أَنفُسَهُمۡ ذَكَرُواْ ٱللَّهَ فَٱسۡتَغۡفَرُواْ لِذُنُوبِهِمۡ وَمَن يَغۡفِرُ ٱلذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ وَلَمۡ يُصِرُّواْ عَلَىٰ مَا فَعَلُواْ وَهُمۡ يَعۡلَمُونَ

135. And those who, if they commit indecency or wrong their souls [289], remember Allah and pray for forgiveness for their sins. And who can forgive anyone's sins save [290] Allah? And they should not persist in what they have done [291], knowingly.

Surah Name : Al Imran   Surah Number : 3   Ayat Number: 135

Ayah 32

ٱلَّذِينَ يَجۡتَنِبُونَ كَبَـٰٓئِرَ ٱلۡإِثۡمِ وَٱلۡفَوَٰحِشَ إِلَّا ٱللَّمَمَۚ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ وَٰسِعُ ٱلۡمَغۡفِرَةِۚ هُوَ أَعۡلَمُ بِكُمۡ إِذۡ أَنشَأَكُم مِّنَ ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَإِذۡ أَنتُمۡ أَجِنَّةٞ فِي بُطُونِ أُمَّهَٰتِكُمۡۖ فَلَا تُزَكُّوٓاْ أَنفُسَكُمۡۖ هُوَ أَعۡلَمُ بِمَنِ ٱتَّقَىٰٓ

32. Those who avoid major sins [38] and immoralities [39], except for minor sins [40]. Indeed, your Lord is vast in forgiveness. He knows you well, as He created you from the earth and when you were hidden in the wombs of your mothers. So do not ascribe purity to yourselves [42]; He knows best who is righteous [43].

Surah Name : An-Najm   Surah Number : 53   Ayat Number: 32

Ayah 1

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّبِيُّ إِذَا طَلَّقۡتُمُ ٱلنِّسَآءَ فَطَلِّقُوهُنَّ لِعِدَّتِهِنَّ وَأَحۡصُواْ ٱلۡعِدَّةَۖ وَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ رَبَّكُمۡۖ لَا تُخۡرِجُوهُنَّ مِنۢ بُيُوتِهِنَّ وَلَا يَخۡرُجۡنَ إِلَّآ أَن يَأۡتِينَ بِفَٰحِشَةٖ مُّبَيِّنَةٖۚ وَتِلۡكَ حُدُودُ ٱللَّهِۚ وَمَن يَتَعَدَّ حُدُودَ ٱللَّهِ فَقَدۡ ظَلَمَ نَفۡسَهُۥۚ لَا تَدۡرِي لَعَلَّ ٱللَّهَ يُحۡدِثُ بَعۡدَ ذَٰلِكَ أَمۡرٗا

1. O Prophet[1] (Communicator of the hidden news), when your people divorce your women, divorce them for their prescribed (2) time, and calculate the prescribed(3) period and fear( 4) Allah your Lord. Do not expel (5) them out of their houses, nor should they themselves leave (6), unless they commit an open indecency (7). These are the limits (8) of Allah. And whoever goes beyond the limits(8) of Allah, he indeed does injustice to his own soul. You do not know that Allah may after this send a new command (9).

Surah Name : At-Talaq   Surah Number : 65   Ayat Number: 1

Ayah 37

وَٱلَّذِينَ يَجۡتَنِبُونَ كَبَـٰٓئِرَ ٱلۡإِثۡمِ وَٱلۡفَوَٰحِشَ وَإِذَا مَا غَضِبُواْ هُمۡ يَغۡفِرُونَ

37. And avoid major [105] sins and indecencies [106] and when they are angry, they forgive (107).
