Ayah 2

مَلِكِ ٱلنَّاسِ

2.The King of mankind [3].

Surah Name : Al-Nas   Surah Number : 114   Ayat Number: 2

Ayah 246

أَلَمۡ تَرَ إِلَى ٱلۡمَلَإِ مِنۢ بَنِيٓ إِسۡرَـٰٓءِيلَ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ مُوسَىٰٓ إِذۡ قَالُواْ لِنَبِيّٖ لَّهُمُ ٱبۡعَثۡ لَنَا مَلِكٗا نُّقَٰتِلۡ فِي سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِۖ قَالَ هَلۡ عَسَيۡتُمۡ إِن كُتِبَ عَلَيۡكُمُ ٱلۡقِتَالُ أَلَّا تُقَٰتِلُواْۖ قَالُواْ وَمَا لَنَآ أَلَّا نُقَٰتِلَ فِي سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَقَدۡ أُخۡرِجۡنَا مِن دِيَٰرِنَا وَأَبۡنَآئِنَاۖ فَلَمَّا كُتِبَ عَلَيۡهِمُ ٱلۡقِتَالُ تَوَلَّوۡاْ إِلَّا قَلِيلٗا مِّنۡهُمۡۚ وَٱللَّهُ عَلِيمُۢ بِٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ

246. (O Beloved Prophet) Did you not observe the group of the Children of Israel after Musa? When they said to a Prophet of theirs: "Appoint for us a king so that we may fight in the way of Allah." He said: "Perhaps if fighting is prescribed for you, you will not fight." They replied: "What is the matter with us that we should not fight in the way of Allah, while we have been driven out of our homes and our children?" But when fighting was prescribed for them, they turned away, except for a few of them. And Allah is All-Knowing of the unjust.

Surah Name : Al-Baqarah   Surah Number : 2   Ayat Number: 246

Ayah 247

وَقَالَ لَهُمۡ نَبِيُّهُمۡ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ قَدۡ بَعَثَ لَكُمۡ طَالُوتَ مَلِكٗاۚ قَالُوٓاْ أَنَّىٰ يَكُونُ لَهُ ٱلۡمُلۡكُ عَلَيۡنَا وَنَحۡنُ أَحَقُّ بِٱلۡمُلۡكِ مِنۡهُ وَلَمۡ يُؤۡتَ سَعَةٗ مِّنَ ٱلۡمَالِۚ قَالَ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ ٱصۡطَفَىٰهُ عَلَيۡكُمۡ وَزَادَهُۥ بَسۡطَةٗ فِي ٱلۡعِلۡمِ وَٱلۡجِسۡمِۖ وَٱللَّهُ يُؤۡتِي مُلۡكَهُۥ مَن يَشَآءُۚ وَٱللَّهُ وَٰسِعٌ عَلِيمٞ

247. And their Prophet said to them: "Surely, Allah has appointed Talut (Saul) [616] for you as a king." They said: "How can he have the right of kingship over us [617]? Whereas we are more entitled [618] to the kingship than he and he has not been given ample wealth." He (Talut) said: "Surely, Allah has chosen him [619] over you and has increased him [620] abundantly in knowledge and body. And Allah bestows His kingdom to whom He wills. And Allah is All-Encompassing, All-Knowing."

Surah Name : Al-Baqarah   Surah Number : 2   Ayat Number: 247

Ayah 79

أَمَّا ٱلسَّفِينَةُ فَكَانَتۡ لِمَسَٰكِينَ يَعۡمَلُونَ فِي ٱلۡبَحۡرِ فَأَرَدتُّ أَنۡ أَعِيبَهَا وَكَانَ وَرَآءَهُم مَّلِكٞ يَأۡخُذُ كُلَّ سَفِينَةٍ غَصۡبٗا

79. As for the boat, it belonged to poor people [179] who worked at sea. I intended to make it faulty [180] because there was a king behind them who seized every intact boat by force [181].

Surah Name : Al-Kahf   Surah Number : 18   Ayat Number: 79

Ayah 116

فَتَعَٰلَى ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡمَلِكُ ٱلۡحَقُّۖ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ رَبُّ ٱلۡعَرۡشِ ٱلۡكَرِيمِ

116. Then Exalted High is Allah, the True King; there is no god except He, the Lord of the Honoured Throne [159].

Surah Name : Al-Muminun   Surah Number : 23   Ayat Number: 116

Ayah 43

وَقَالَ ٱلۡمَلِكُ إِنِّيٓ أَرَىٰ سَبۡعَ بَقَرَٰتٖ سِمَانٖ يَأۡكُلُهُنَّ سَبۡعٌ عِجَافٞ وَسَبۡعَ سُنۢبُلَٰتٍ خُضۡرٖ وَأُخَرَ يَابِسَٰتٖۖ يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلۡمَلَأُ أَفۡتُونِي فِي رُءۡيَٰيَ إِن كُنتُمۡ لِلرُّءۡيَا تَعۡبُرُونَ

43. And the King said, "I saw in a dream seven fat cows being eaten by seven lean cows, and seven green ears of corn and seven others dry [98]. O courtiers! Answer my dream if you know the interpretation of dreams [99]."

Surah Name : Yusuf   Surah Number : 12   Ayat Number: 43

Ayah 50

وَقَالَ ٱلۡمَلِكُ ٱئۡتُونِي بِهِۦۖ فَلَمَّا جَآءَهُ ٱلرَّسُولُ قَالَ ٱرۡجِعۡ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَسۡـَٔلۡهُ مَا بَالُ ٱلنِّسۡوَةِ ٱلَّـٰتِي قَطَّعۡنَ أَيۡدِيَهُنَّۚ إِنَّ رَبِّي بِكَيۡدِهِنَّ عَلِيمٞ

50. And the king said, "Bring him to me." Then, when the messenger came to him, he said, "Return to your lord and ask him what about the women who cut their hands? Indeed, my Lord is aware of their scheme [111]."

Surah Name : Yusuf   Surah Number : 12   Ayat Number: 50

Ayah 51

قَالَ مَا خَطۡبُكُنَّ إِذۡ رَٰوَدتُّنَّ يُوسُفَ عَن نَّفۡسِهِۦۚ قُلۡنَ حَٰشَ لِلَّهِ مَا عَلِمۡنَا عَلَيۡهِ مِن سُوٓءٖۚ قَالَتِ ٱمۡرَأَتُ ٱلۡعَزِيزِ ٱلۡـَٰٔنَ حَصۡحَصَ ٱلۡحَقُّ أَنَا۠ رَٰوَدتُّهُۥ عَن نَّفۡسِهِۦ وَإِنَّهُۥ لَمِنَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ

51. The king said, "O women, what was your intention when you sought to seduce [Joseph] [112]? They said, 'Holy is Allah, we did not find any evil [113] in him.' The wife of the Aziz said, 'Now the truth has been made clear [114]. I sought to seduce him [115], and indeed, he is truthful [116].'"

Surah Name : Yusuf   Surah Number : 12   Ayat Number: 51

Ayah 54

وَقَالَ ٱلۡمَلِكُ ٱئۡتُونِي بِهِۦٓ أَسۡتَخۡلِصۡهُ لِنَفۡسِيۖ فَلَمَّا كَلَّمَهُۥ قَالَ إِنَّكَ ٱلۡيَوۡمَ لَدَيۡنَا مَكِينٌ أَمِينٞ

54. The king said, "Bring him to me that I may choose him exclusively [120] for myself." Then, when he spoke to him [121], he said, "Indeed, today you are established and trustworthy with us [122]."

Surah Name : Yusuf   Surah Number : 12   Ayat Number: 54

Ayah 65

وَلَمَّا فَتَحُواْ مَتَٰعَهُمۡ وَجَدُواْ بِضَٰعَتَهُمۡ رُدَّتۡ إِلَيۡهِمۡۖ قَالُواْ يَـٰٓأَبَانَا مَا نَبۡغِيۖ هَٰذِهِۦ بِضَٰعَتُنَا رُدَّتۡ إِلَيۡنَاۖ وَنَمِيرُ أَهۡلَنَا وَنَحۡفَظُ أَخَانَا وَنَزۡدَادُ كَيۡلَ بَعِيرٖۖ ذَٰلِكَ كَيۡلٞ يَسِيرٞ

65. And when they opened their goods, they found their belongings returned to them. They said, "O our father, we desire nothing more. Here is our merchandise that has been returned to us. We will bring provisions for our family, safeguard our brother [137], and obtain an extra load of grain. This is an easy measure [138]."

Surah Name : Yusuf   Surah Number : 12   Ayat Number: 65

Ayah 72

قَالُواْ نَفۡقِدُ صُوَاعَ ٱلۡمَلِكِ وَلِمَن جَآءَ بِهِۦ حِمۡلُ بَعِيرٖ وَأَنَا۠ بِهِۦ زَعِيمٞ

72. They said, “We are missing the king’s measuring cup [154], and whoever brings it will receive a camel’s load [155]. I am responsible for it [156].”

Surah Name : Yusuf   Surah Number : 12   Ayat Number: 72

Ayah 114

فَتَعَٰلَى ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡمَلِكُ ٱلۡحَقُّۗ وَلَا تَعۡجَلۡ بِٱلۡقُرۡءَانِ مِن قَبۡلِ أَن يُقۡضَىٰٓ إِلَيۡكَ وَحۡيُهُۥۖ وَقُل رَّبِّ زِدۡنِي عِلۡمٗا

114. Allah is the most high the true king, and hasten not [159] with Quran until its revelation is completed to you, and submit, 'O my Lord increase me in knowledge [160]!

Surah Name : Ta-Ha   Surah Number : 20   Ayat Number: 114

Ayah 34

قَالَتۡ إِنَّ ٱلۡمُلُوكَ إِذَا دَخَلُواْ قَرۡيَةً أَفۡسَدُوهَا وَجَعَلُوٓاْ أَعِزَّةَ أَهۡلِهَآ أَذِلَّةٗۚ وَكَذَٰلِكَ يَفۡعَلُونَ

34. She said, 'Indeed, when the kings enter any town ruin it [66]and disgrace its honorable inhabitants and thus they do' [67].

Surah Name : An-Naml   Surah Number : 27   Ayat Number: 34

Ayah 20

وَإِذۡ قَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِقَوۡمِهِۦ يَٰقَوۡمِ ٱذۡكُرُواْ نِعۡمَةَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيۡكُمۡ إِذۡ جَعَلَ فِيكُمۡ أَنۢبِيَآءَ وَجَعَلَكُم مُّلُوكٗا وَءَاتَىٰكُم مَّا لَمۡ يُؤۡتِ أَحَدٗا مِّنَ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ

20.And when Musa said to his people: "O my people! Remember the favour of Allah upon you, that He made among you Messengers [80] and made you kings [81], and gave you that which He has not given anyone in the world [82], up to this day."
