Ayah 7

وَٱلۡجِبَالَ أَوۡتَادٗا

7. And the mountains as the pegs.

Surah Name : An-Naba   Surah Number : 78   Ayat Number: 7

Ayah 20

وَسُيِّرَتِ ٱلۡجِبَالُ فَكَانَتۡ سَرَابًا

20. And the mountains shall be made to pass away as a mirage.

Ayah 3

وَإِذَا ٱلۡجِبَالُ سُيِّرَتۡ

3. And when the mountains are made to move.

Ayah 19

وَإِلَى ٱلۡجِبَالِ كَيۡفَ نُصِبَتۡ

19.And the mountains [19], how these are set up?

Ayah 5

وَتَكُونُ ٱلۡجِبَالُ كَٱلۡعِهۡنِ ٱلۡمَنفُوشِ

5. And the mountains become like cotton wool [4].

Ayah 24

وَلَهُ ٱلۡجَوَارِ ٱلۡمُنشَـَٔاتُ فِي ٱلۡبَحۡرِ كَٱلۡأَعۡلَٰمِ

24. And His are the lofty ships raised [22] up in the sea like mountains [23].

Ayah 50

فِيهِمَا عَيۡنَانِ تَجۡرِيَانِ

50.In both of them are flowing two [45] mountains.

Ayah 47

وَيَوۡمَ نُسَيِّرُ ٱلۡجِبَالَ وَتَرَى ٱلۡأَرۡضَ بَارِزَةٗ وَحَشَرۡنَٰهُمۡ فَلَمۡ نُغَادِرۡ مِنۡهُمۡ أَحَدٗا

47. And the day We will move the mountains [109], and you will see the earth laid bare [110], and We will gather them all, leaving no one behind [111].

Ayah 93

حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا بَلَغَ بَيۡنَ ٱلسَّدَّيۡنِ وَجَدَ مِن دُونِهِمَا قَوۡمٗا لَّا يَكَادُونَ يَفۡقَهُونَ قَوۡلٗا

93. Until he reached [207] between two mountains, where he found a people who could hardly understand anything [208].

Ayah 96

ءَاتُونِي زُبَرَ ٱلۡحَدِيدِۖ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا سَاوَىٰ بَيۡنَ ٱلصَّدَفَيۡنِ قَالَ ٱنفُخُواْۖ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا جَعَلَهُۥ نَارٗا قَالَ ءَاتُونِيٓ أُفۡرِغۡ عَلَيۡهِ قِطۡرٗا

96. "Bring me blocks of iron [215]." When he had leveled the iron between the two mountains, he said, "Blow" until it became red-hot. Then he said, "Bring me molten copper [216] so I can pour it over the iron."

Ayah 79

فَفَهَّمۡنَٰهَا سُلَيۡمَٰنَۚ وَكُلًّا ءَاتَيۡنَا حُكۡمٗا وَعِلۡمٗاۚ وَسَخَّرۡنَا مَعَ دَاوُۥدَ ٱلۡجِبَالَ يُسَبِّحۡنَ وَٱلطَّيۡرَۚ وَكُنَّا فَٰعِلِينَ

79. We made Sulaiman [115], to understand the matter and bestowed to both of them government and knowledge [116], and We made the mountains subservient to celebrate Our Praises with Dawood. And so the birds (117), and these were Our doings.

Ayah 90

تَكَادُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتُ يَتَفَطَّرۡنَ مِنۡهُ وَتَنشَقُّ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ وَتَخِرُّ ٱلۡجِبَالُ هَدًّا

90.It is near that the heavens may burst apart from it, and the earth may crack open, and the mountains may fall down in collapse.

Ayah 10

وَتَسِيرُ ٱلۡجِبَالُ سَيۡرٗا

10. And the mountains will move [9] with an awful movement.

Ayah 31

وَلَوۡ أَنَّ قُرۡءَانٗا سُيِّرَتۡ بِهِ ٱلۡجِبَالُ أَوۡ قُطِّعَتۡ بِهِ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ أَوۡ كُلِّمَ بِهِ ٱلۡمَوۡتَىٰۗ بَل لِّلَّهِ ٱلۡأَمۡرُ جَمِيعًاۗ أَفَلَمۡ يَاْيۡـَٔسِ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ أَن لَّوۡ يَشَآءُ ٱللَّهُ لَهَدَى ٱلنَّاسَ جَمِيعٗاۗ وَلَا يَزَالُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ تُصِيبُهُم بِمَا صَنَعُواْ قَارِعَةٌ أَوۡ تَحُلُّ قَرِيبٗا مِّن دَارِهِمۡ حَتَّىٰ يَأۡتِيَ وَعۡدُ ٱللَّهِۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يُخۡلِفُ ٱلۡمِيعَادَ

31. If there had been a Qur'an by which mountains could be moved or the earth could be cut asunder or the dead could be spoken to, even then the disbelievers [85] would not have believed. But the entire affair is in the authority of Allah. Did not those who believe become disheartened that if Allah had willed, He would have guided [86] all the people? And calamities will continue to strike [87] the disbelievers for what they have done, or it will alight near their homes [88] until Allah's promise comes [89]. Indeed, Allah does not fail in His promise.

Surah Name : Ar-Rad   Surah Number : 13   Ayat Number: 31

Ayah 105

وَيَسۡـَٔلُونَكَ عَنِ ٱلۡجِبَالِ فَقُلۡ يَنسِفُهَا رَبِّي نَسۡفٗا

105. And they ask [147] you regarding mountains, say you; My Lord will squander them breaking into pieces [148].

Ayah 43

أَلَمۡ تَرَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُزۡجِي سَحَابٗا ثُمَّ يُؤَلِّفُ بَيۡنَهُۥ ثُمَّ يَجۡعَلُهُۥ رُكَامٗا فَتَرَى ٱلۡوَدۡقَ يَخۡرُجُ مِنۡ خِلَٰلِهِۦ وَيُنَزِّلُ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مِن جِبَالٖ فِيهَا مِنۢ بَرَدٖ فَيُصِيبُ بِهِۦ مَن يَشَآءُ وَيَصۡرِفُهُۥ عَن مَّن يَشَآءُۖ يَكَادُ سَنَا بَرۡقِهِۦ يَذۡهَبُ بِٱلۡأَبۡصَٰرِ

43. Have you not observed how Allah drives the clouds gently, then joins them together, and then piles them one over the other so that you see rain [119] coming forth from their midst? And He sends down from the sky mountains [120] of ice, from which He hails whom He wills and turns it away from whom He wills [121]. It is very near that the flash of its lightning may take away the sight [122].

Surah Name : An-Nur   Surah Number : 24   Ayat Number: 43

Ayah 74

وَٱذۡكُرُوٓاْ إِذۡ جَعَلَكُمۡ خُلَفَآءَ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ عَادٖ وَبَوَّأَكُمۡ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ تَتَّخِذُونَ مِن سُهُولِهَا قُصُورٗا وَتَنۡحِتُونَ ٱلۡجِبَالَ بُيُوتٗاۖ فَٱذۡكُرُوٓاْ ءَالَآءَ ٱللَّهِ وَلَا تَعۡثَوۡاْ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ مُفۡسِدِينَ

74. And remember when He made you successors of Aad and assigned you a place in the land that you build palaces [182] on its plains, and hack out houses in its mountains[183]. Then remember the bounties of Allah and wander not on the earth spreading mischief [184].

Surah Name : Al-Araf   Surah Number : 7   Ayat Number: 74

Ayah 143

وَلَمَّا جَآءَ مُوسَىٰ لِمِيقَٰتِنَا وَكَلَّمَهُۥ رَبُّهُۥ قَالَ رَبِّ أَرِنِيٓ أَنظُرۡ إِلَيۡكَۚ قَالَ لَن تَرَىٰنِي وَلَٰكِنِ ٱنظُرۡ إِلَى ٱلۡجَبَلِ فَإِنِ ٱسۡتَقَرَّ مَكَانَهُۥ فَسَوۡفَ تَرَىٰنِيۚ فَلَمَّا تَجَلَّىٰ رَبُّهُۥ لِلۡجَبَلِ جَعَلَهُۥ دَكّٗا وَخَرَّ مُوسَىٰ صَعِقٗاۚ فَلَمَّآ أَفَاقَ قَالَ سُبۡحَٰنَكَ تُبۡتُ إِلَيۡكَ وَأَنَا۠ أَوَّلُ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ

143.And when Musa came to Our appointed time and his Lord spoke to him, he submitted: "O my Lord! Show me [307] Your Exalted Vision, that I may behold You." He said: "You can never (bear to) [308] see Me, but look towards this mountain. If it remains steadfast at its place, then you will see Me." Then when His Lord made His light to shine [309] on the mountain, He broke it into pieces and Musa fell down unconscious [310]. Then, when he came to his senses, he said: "Hallowed be You. I turn towards You [311] and I am the first of the Believers" [312].

Surah Name : Al-Araf   Surah Number : 7   Ayat Number: 143

Ayah 171

۞وَإِذۡ نَتَقۡنَا ٱلۡجَبَلَ فَوۡقَهُمۡ كَأَنَّهُۥ ظُلَّةٞ وَظَنُّوٓاْ أَنَّهُۥ وَاقِعُۢ بِهِمۡ خُذُواْ مَآ ءَاتَيۡنَٰكُم بِقُوَّةٖ وَٱذۡكُرُواْ مَا فِيهِ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَتَّقُونَ

171. And when We raised [393] the mountain over them as if it were a canopy, and they thought that it would fall on them [394]. (We said,) “Hold firmly to what We have given you and remember what is in it, so that you may become accountable [395]."

Ayah 81

وَٱللَّهُ جَعَلَ لَكُم مِّمَّا خَلَقَ ظِلَٰلٗا وَجَعَلَ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱلۡجِبَالِ أَكۡنَٰنٗا وَجَعَلَ لَكُمۡ سَرَٰبِيلَ تَقِيكُمُ ٱلۡحَرَّ وَسَرَٰبِيلَ تَقِيكُم بَأۡسَكُمۡۚ كَذَٰلِكَ يُتِمُّ نِعۡمَتَهُۥ عَلَيۡكُمۡ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تُسۡلِمُونَ

81. And Allah has made for you from what He has created, shade [176], and made for you from the mountains, shelters [177], and garments [178] to protect you from heat and garments to protect you from your enemy [179]. Thus does He complete His favor [180] upon you so that you may submit to Him [181].
