Ayah 9

وَلِسَانٗا وَشَفَتَيۡنِ

9.And a tongue and two lips [9]?

Surah Name : Al-Balad   Surah Number : 90   Ayat Number: 9

Ayah 46

مِّنَ ٱلَّذِينَ هَادُواْ يُحَرِّفُونَ ٱلۡكَلِمَ عَن مَّوَاضِعِهِۦ وَيَقُولُونَ سَمِعۡنَا وَعَصَيۡنَا وَٱسۡمَعۡ غَيۡرَ مُسۡمَعٖ وَرَٰعِنَا لَيَّۢا بِأَلۡسِنَتِهِمۡ وَطَعۡنٗا فِي ٱلدِّينِۚ وَلَوۡ أَنَّهُمۡ قَالُواْ سَمِعۡنَا وَأَطَعۡنَا وَٱسۡمَعۡ وَٱنظُرۡنَا لَكَانَ خَيۡرٗا لَّهُمۡ وَأَقۡوَمَ وَلَٰكِن لَّعَنَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِكُفۡرِهِمۡ فَلَا يُؤۡمِنُونَ إِلَّا قَلِيلٗا

46. Among the Yahud are those who distort words from their (proper) places [169] and say, "We have heard and we disobey," and "You listen to us," but do not make us to listen. They twist their tongues [170] and taunt in faith [171]. And if they had said instead, "We hear and obey," and "Hear our talks and look at us" [172], it would have been better for them and more upright [173]. But Allah has accursed them, so they believe not, except for a little [174].

Surah Name : An-Nisa   Surah Number : 4   Ayat Number: 46

Ayah 97

فَإِنَّمَا يَسَّرۡنَٰهُ بِلِسَانِكَ لِتُبَشِّرَ بِهِ ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ وَتُنذِرَ بِهِۦ قَوۡمٗا لُّدّٗا

97.So We have certainly made this Qur'an easy [158] in your tongue, that you may give glad tidings to the God-fearing and warn thereby a contentious people [159].

Ayah 27

وَٱحۡلُلۡ عُقۡدَةٗ مِّن لِّسَانِي

27. And loosen the knot of my tongue [26]

Surah Name : Ta-Ha   Surah Number : 20   Ayat Number: 27

Ayah 15

إِذۡ تَلَقَّوۡنَهُۥ بِأَلۡسِنَتِكُمۡ وَتَقُولُونَ بِأَفۡوَاهِكُم مَّا لَيۡسَ لَكُم بِهِۦ عِلۡمٞ وَتَحۡسَبُونَهُۥ هَيِّنٗا وَهُوَ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ عَظِيمٞ

15. When you brought such talk on your tongues hearing from one another, and uttered with your mouths that of which you had no knowledge [30] and thought it light, while it was great [31] in the sight of Allah.

Surah Name : An-Nur   Surah Number : 24   Ayat Number: 15

Ayah 24

يَوۡمَ تَشۡهَدُ عَلَيۡهِمۡ أَلۡسِنَتُهُمۡ وَأَيۡدِيهِمۡ وَأَرۡجُلُهُم بِمَا كَانُواْ يَعۡمَلُونَ

24. On the day when their tongues [45] and their hands and their feet will bear witness against them as to what they used to do.

Ayah 176

وَلَوۡ شِئۡنَا لَرَفَعۡنَٰهُ بِهَا وَلَٰكِنَّهُۥٓ أَخۡلَدَ إِلَى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَٱتَّبَعَ هَوَىٰهُۚ فَمَثَلُهُۥ كَمَثَلِ ٱلۡكَلۡبِ إِن تَحۡمِلۡ عَلَيۡهِ يَلۡهَثۡ أَوۡ تَتۡرُكۡهُ يَلۡهَثۚ ذَّـٰلِكَ مَثَلُ ٱلۡقَوۡمِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُواْ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَاۚ فَٱقۡصُصِ ٱلۡقَصَصَ لَعَلَّهُمۡ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ

176.And if We had willed, We would have exalted him by those signs [405], but he clung to the earth and followed his desires [406]. So his example is like that of a dog: if you chase it, it pants, and if you leave it, it still pants [407]. That is the example of the people who denied Our signs. So relate the stories to them so that they may reflect [408].

Surah Name : Al-Araf   Surah Number : 7   Ayat Number: 176

Ayah 205

وَٱذۡكُر رَّبَّكَ فِي نَفۡسِكَ تَضَرُّعٗا وَخِيفَةٗ وَدُونَ ٱلۡجَهۡرِ مِنَ ٱلۡقَوۡلِ بِٱلۡغُدُوِّ وَٱلۡأٓصَالِ وَلَا تَكُن مِّنَ ٱلۡغَٰفِلِينَ

205. And remember your Lord within yourself, humbly and fearfully, and without uttering a sound [461] from the tongue, morning and evening [462], and be not among the heedless.

Surah Name : Al-Araf   Surah Number : 7   Ayat Number: 205

Ayah 62

وَيَجۡعَلُونَ لِلَّهِ مَا يَكۡرَهُونَۚ وَتَصِفُ أَلۡسِنَتُهُمُ ٱلۡكَذِبَ أَنَّ لَهُمُ ٱلۡحُسۡنَىٰۚ لَا جَرَمَ أَنَّ لَهُمُ ٱلنَّارَ وَأَنَّهُم مُّفۡرَطُونَ

62. And appoint for Allah what they themselves dislike [127], and their tongues lie, saying that they will have the best [128]. There is no doubt that for them is the Fire [129], and they are those who have crossed the limits.

Ayah 116

وَلَا تَقُولُواْ لِمَا تَصِفُ أَلۡسِنَتُكُمُ ٱلۡكَذِبَ هَٰذَا حَلَٰلٞ وَهَٰذَا حَرَامٞ لِّتَفۡتَرُواْ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡكَذِبَۚ إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَفۡتَرُونَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡكَذِبَ لَا يُفۡلِحُونَ

116. And do not say, based on what your tongues describe falsely: "This is lawful [260] and this is unlawful," to forge a lie against Allah. Indeed, those who forge lies against Allah will not prosper [261].

Surah Name : An-Nahl   Surah Number : 16   Ayat Number: 116

Ayah 13

وَيَضِيقُ صَدۡرِي وَلَا يَنطَلِقُ لِسَانِي فَأَرۡسِلۡ إِلَىٰ هَٰرُونَ

13. "And my breast is [15] tight and my tongue does not move fluently; therefore, appoint Aaron [Haroon] as a Messenger [16]."

Surah Name : Ash-Shuara   Surah Number : 26   Ayat Number: 13

Ayah 11

سَيَقُولُ لَكَ ٱلۡمُخَلَّفُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡأَعۡرَابِ شَغَلَتۡنَآ أَمۡوَٰلُنَا وَأَهۡلُونَا فَٱسۡتَغۡفِرۡ لَنَاۚ يَقُولُونَ بِأَلۡسِنَتِهِم مَّا لَيۡسَ فِي قُلُوبِهِمۡۚ قُلۡ فَمَن يَمۡلِكُ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ شَيۡـًٔا إِنۡ أَرَادَ بِكُمۡ ضَرًّا أَوۡ أَرَادَ بِكُمۡ نَفۡعَۢاۚ بَلۡ كَانَ ٱللَّهُ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ خَبِيرَۢا

11. The desert Arabs (Bedouins) who were left bebind (26) will say to you: "Our properties and our families (27) kept us busy. Therefore you ask forgiveness(28) for us." They say with their tongues that which is not in their hearts (29). Please declare! "Who has any prevailing power for you against Allah, if He desires (30) to harm you or if He intends good for you." In fact. Allah is aware of your doings.

Surah Name : Al-Fath   Surah Number : 48   Ayat Number: 11

Ayah 19

أَشِحَّةً عَلَيۡكُمۡۖ فَإِذَا جَآءَ ٱلۡخَوۡفُ رَأَيۡتَهُمۡ يَنظُرُونَ إِلَيۡكَ تَدُورُ أَعۡيُنُهُمۡ كَٱلَّذِي يُغۡشَىٰ عَلَيۡهِ مِنَ ٱلۡمَوۡتِۖ فَإِذَا ذَهَبَ ٱلۡخَوۡفُ سَلَقُوكُم بِأَلۡسِنَةٍ حِدَادٍ أَشِحَّةً عَلَى ٱلۡخَيۡرِۚ أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ لَمۡ يُؤۡمِنُواْ فَأَحۡبَطَ ٱللَّهُ أَعۡمَٰلَهُمۡۚ وَكَانَ ذَٰلِكَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ يَسِيرٗا

19.They are reluctant in helping you. But when the time of fear comes to them, you will see them looking at you. Their eyes are rolling [41] as if death [42] has approached them. Then when the time of fear has passed (43) away, they began to taunt you with a sharp tongue, being greedy of the booty (44). These people have never believed (45), therefore Allah has nullified (46) their works, and this is an easy 47) thing for Allah.

Surah Name : Al-Ahzab   Surah Number : 33   Ayat Number: 19

Ayah 78

لُعِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ مِنۢ بَنِيٓ إِسۡرَـٰٓءِيلَ عَلَىٰ لِسَانِ دَاوُۥدَ وَعِيسَى ٱبۡنِ مَرۡيَمَۚ ذَٰلِكَ بِمَا عَصَواْ وَّكَانُواْ يَعۡتَدُونَ

78. Cursed were those who committed infidelity from among the Children of Israel through the tongue of Dawood and Isa [Jesus], son of Mariam [227]. This was due to their disobedience and transgression [228].

Surah Name : Al-Maidah   Surah Number : 5   Ayat Number: 78

Ayah 2

إِن يَثۡقَفُوكُمۡ يَكُونُواْ لَكُمۡ أَعۡدَآءٗ وَيَبۡسُطُوٓاْ إِلَيۡكُمۡ أَيۡدِيَهُمۡ وَأَلۡسِنَتَهُم بِٱلسُّوٓءِ وَوَدُّواْ لَوۡ تَكۡفُرُونَ

2. If they get the upper hand on you, they will become your enemies [9], and will stretch out their hands to you and their evil tongues with ardent desire that you become infidels [10].

Surah Name : Al-Mumtahanah   Surah Number : 60   Ayat Number: 2

Ayah 16

لَا تُحَرِّكۡ بِهِۦ لِسَانَكَ لِتَعۡجَلَ بِهِۦٓ

16. Do not move your tongue (O Muhammad) to hasten with it[16].
