Ayah 14

فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَعَقَرُوهَا فَدَمۡدَمَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ رَبُّهُم بِذَنۢبِهِمۡ فَسَوَّىٰهَا

14.But they denied it, and hamstrung [14] her. So their Lord destroyed them for their sin, which completely swept the town [15].

Surah Name : Ash-Shams   Surah Number : 91   Ayat Number: 14

Ayah 20

وَجَآءَ مِنۡ أَقۡصَا ٱلۡمَدِينَةِ رَجُلٞ يَسۡعَىٰ قَالَ يَٰقَوۡمِ ٱتَّبِعُواْ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ

20. And from the farthest part of the town came a man running [30]. He said: "O my people! Follow the Messenger"

Ayah 75

وَمَا لَكُمۡ لَا تُقَٰتِلُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَٱلۡمُسۡتَضۡعَفِينَ مِنَ ٱلرِّجَالِ وَٱلنِّسَآءِ وَٱلۡوِلۡدَٰنِ ٱلَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَآ أَخۡرِجۡنَا مِنۡ هَٰذِهِ ٱلۡقَرۡيَةِ ٱلظَّالِمِ أَهۡلُهَا وَٱجۡعَل لَّنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ وَلِيّٗا وَٱجۡعَل لَّنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ نَصِيرًا

75. And what is the matter with you that you fight not in the way of Allah[239] and for the oppressed among men, women, and children[240], who say: "O our Lord! Take us out of this town[241] whose people are unjust[242], and appoint for us from Yourself a protector and appoint for us from Yourself a helper[243]?"

Surah Name : An-Nisa   Surah Number : 4   Ayat Number: 75

Ayah 259

أَوۡ كَٱلَّذِي مَرَّ عَلَىٰ قَرۡيَةٖ وَهِيَ خَاوِيَةٌ عَلَىٰ عُرُوشِهَا قَالَ أَنَّىٰ يُحۡيِۦ هَٰذِهِ ٱللَّهُ بَعۡدَ مَوۡتِهَاۖ فَأَمَاتَهُ ٱللَّهُ مِاْئَةَ عَامٖ ثُمَّ بَعَثَهُۥۖ قَالَ كَمۡ لَبِثۡتَۖ قَالَ لَبِثۡتُ يَوۡمًا أَوۡ بَعۡضَ يَوۡمٖۖ قَالَ بَل لَّبِثۡتَ مِاْئَةَ عَامٖ فَٱنظُرۡ إِلَىٰ طَعَامِكَ وَشَرَابِكَ لَمۡ يَتَسَنَّهۡۖ وَٱنظُرۡ إِلَىٰ حِمَارِكَ وَلِنَجۡعَلَكَ ءَايَةٗ لِّلنَّاسِۖ وَٱنظُرۡ إِلَى ٱلۡعِظَامِ كَيۡفَ نُنشِزُهَا ثُمَّ نَكۡسُوهَا لَحۡمٗاۚ فَلَمَّا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُۥ قَالَ أَعۡلَمُ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ قَدِيرٞ

259.Or like the one who passed by a town [669] (prophet Uzair) which had fallen into ruins. He said: "How will Allah bring this to life [670] after its death?" So Allah caused him to die for a hundred years [671], then He revived him. He said: "How long have you stayed here?" He replied: "I've remained a full day or part of it." Allah said: "No, you stayed for a hundred years [672]. Look at your food and your drink; they have not changed with time. Yet, look at your donkey, whose bones are not safe [673]. And We will make you a sign for mankind. Look at the bones [674] how We raise them, and then cover them with flesh." When this matter became clear to him, he said: "I know very well [675] that Allah has power over all things [676]."

Surah Name : Al-Baqarah   Surah Number : 2   Ayat Number: 259

Ayah 6

مَآ ءَامَنَتۡ قَبۡلَهُم مِّن قَرۡيَةٍ أَهۡلَكۡنَٰهَآۖ أَفَهُمۡ يُؤۡمِنُونَ

6. No town, which We destroyed, had believed before them; will they then believe [11]?

Ayah 11

وَكَمۡ قَصَمۡنَا مِن قَرۡيَةٖ كَانَتۡ ظَالِمَةٗ وَأَنشَأۡنَا بَعۡدَهَا قَوۡمًا ءَاخَرِينَ

11. And how many towns that were oppressing [18], We utterly destroyed and raised up another people after them [19].

Ayah 74

وَلُوطًا ءَاتَيۡنَٰهُ حُكۡمٗا وَعِلۡمٗا وَنَجَّيۡنَٰهُ مِنَ ٱلۡقَرۡيَةِ ٱلَّتِي كَانَت تَّعۡمَلُ ٱلۡخَبَـٰٓئِثَۚ إِنَّهُمۡ كَانُواْ قَوۡمَ سَوۡءٖ فَٰسِقِينَ

74. And to Lut We gave government and Knowledge [108], and delivered him from that town which had been doing foul deeds [109]. Indeed, those evil people were disobedient.

Surah Name : Al-Anbiya   Surah Number : 21   Ayat Number: 74

Ayah 95

وَحَرَٰمٌ عَلَىٰ قَرۡيَةٍ أَهۡلَكۡنَٰهَآ أَنَّهُمۡ لَا يَرۡجِعُونَ

95. And it is forbidden to town, which We have destroyed, that they returned [148].

Ayah 82

وَسۡـَٔلِ ٱلۡقَرۡيَةَ ٱلَّتِي كُنَّا فِيهَا وَٱلۡعِيرَ ٱلَّتِيٓ أَقۡبَلۡنَا فِيهَاۖ وَإِنَّا لَصَٰدِقُونَ

82. And enquire of the town where we were [176], and the caravan in which we came. Indeed, we are truthful [177].

Surah Name : Yusuf   Surah Number : 12   Ayat Number: 82

Ayah 4

وَكَم مِّن قَرۡيَةٍ أَهۡلَكۡنَٰهَا فَجَآءَهَا بَأۡسُنَا بَيَٰتًا أَوۡ هُمۡ قَآئِلُونَ

4. And how many towns have We destroyed! So Our punishment came upon them by night [4] or while they were resting at noon [5].

Ayah 82

وَمَا كَانَ جَوَابَ قَوۡمِهِۦٓ إِلَّآ أَن قَالُوٓاْ أَخۡرِجُوهُم مِّن قَرۡيَتِكُمۡۖ إِنَّهُمۡ أُنَاسٞ يَتَطَهَّرُونَ

82. And there was no answer from his people, but they only said: "Turn them out of your town [198]; surely these people aspire to be pure."

Ayah 88

۞قَالَ ٱلۡمَلَأُ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱسۡتَكۡبَرُواْ مِن قَوۡمِهِۦ لَنُخۡرِجَنَّكَ يَٰشُعَيۡبُ وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ مَعَكَ مِن قَرۡيَتِنَآ أَوۡ لَتَعُودُنَّ فِي مِلَّتِنَاۚ قَالَ أَوَلَوۡ كُنَّا كَٰرِهِينَ

88.The proud chiefs [212] of his people said: "O Shuaib! We swear that we will certainly throw you out of our town along with those Muslims [213] who are with you or you come back to our faith." He said: "What! Even though we hate it [214]?"

Surah Name : Al-Araf   Surah Number : 7   Ayat Number: 88

Ayah 94

وَمَآ أَرۡسَلۡنَا فِي قَرۡيَةٖ مِّن نَّبِيٍّ إِلَّآ أَخَذۡنَآ أَهۡلَهَا بِٱلۡبَأۡسَآءِ وَٱلضَّرَّآءِ لَعَلَّهُمۡ يَضَّرَّعُونَ

94. And We did not send any Prophet to a town, but We seized its people with adversity and hardship [225], so that they might become humble [226].

Ayah 96

وَلَوۡ أَنَّ أَهۡلَ ٱلۡقُرَىٰٓ ءَامَنُواْ وَٱتَّقَوۡاْ لَفَتَحۡنَا عَلَيۡهِم بَرَكَٰتٖ مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَلَٰكِن كَذَّبُواْ فَأَخَذۡنَٰهُم بِمَا كَانُواْ يَكۡسِبُونَ

96. And if the people of the towns had believed and feared Allah, We would have certainly opened for them blessings [229] from the sky and the earth. But they denied the truth, so We seized them for what they used to earn [230].

Surah Name : Al-Araf   Surah Number : 7   Ayat Number: 96

Ayah 97

أَفَأَمِنَ أَهۡلُ ٱلۡقُرَىٰٓ أَن يَأۡتِيَهُم بَأۡسُنَا بَيَٰتٗا وَهُمۡ نَآئِمُونَ

97. Do the people of the towns feel secure that Our punishment may come upon them at night while they are asleep [231]?

Surah Name : Al-Araf   Surah Number : 7   Ayat Number: 97

Ayah 98

أَوَأَمِنَ أَهۡلُ ٱلۡقُرَىٰٓ أَن يَأۡتِيَهُم بَأۡسُنَا ضُحٗى وَهُمۡ يَلۡعَبُونَ

98. Or, do the people of the towns feel secure that Our punishment may come upon them during the day while they are playing [232]?

Surah Name : Al-Araf   Surah Number : 7   Ayat Number: 98

Ayah 101

تِلۡكَ ٱلۡقُرَىٰ نَقُصُّ عَلَيۡكَ مِنۡ أَنۢبَآئِهَاۚ وَلَقَدۡ جَآءَتۡهُمۡ رُسُلُهُم بِٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِ فَمَا كَانُواْ لِيُؤۡمِنُواْ بِمَا كَذَّبُواْ مِن قَبۡلُۚ كَذَٰلِكَ يَطۡبَعُ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِ ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ

101. These are the towns, the news of which We relate to you [236]. And indeed, there came to them their Messengers with clear signs, but they were not able to believe what they had first rejected [237]. Thus, Allah sealed the hearts of the disbelievers [238].

Surah Name : Al-Araf   Surah Number : 7   Ayat Number: 101

Ayah 161

وَإِذۡ قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱسۡكُنُواْ هَٰذِهِ ٱلۡقَرۡيَةَ وَكُلُواْ مِنۡهَا حَيۡثُ شِئۡتُمۡ وَقُولُواْ حِطَّةٞ وَٱدۡخُلُواْ ٱلۡبَابَ سُجَّدٗا نَّغۡفِرۡ لَكُمۡ خَطِيٓـَٰٔتِكُمۡۚ سَنَزِيدُ ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِينَ

161. And when it was said to them: "Dwell in this town and eat from it wherever you wish [367], and say, 'Remove our sins' [368]. Enter the gate prostrating, and We will forgive you your sins [369]. We will soon increase the rewards for those who do good."

Surah Name : Al-Araf   Surah Number : 7   Ayat Number: 161

Ayah 163

وَسۡـَٔلۡهُمۡ عَنِ ٱلۡقَرۡيَةِ ٱلَّتِي كَانَتۡ حَاضِرَةَ ٱلۡبَحۡرِ إِذۡ يَعۡدُونَ فِي ٱلسَّبۡتِ إِذۡ تَأۡتِيهِمۡ حِيتَانُهُمۡ يَوۡمَ سَبۡتِهِمۡ شُرَّعٗا وَيَوۡمَ لَا يَسۡبِتُونَ لَا تَأۡتِيهِمۡۚ كَذَٰلِكَ نَبۡلُوهُم بِمَا كَانُواْ يَفۡسُقُونَ

163.And ask them about the town [372] that was by the sea. When they violated the Sabbath, their fish would come to them openly on the day of their Sabbath, but on the day they did not observe the Sabbath, they would not come to them. Thus, We tested them because of their transgressions [374].

Surah Name : Al-Araf   Surah Number : 7   Ayat Number: 163

Ayah 112

وَضَرَبَ ٱللَّهُ مَثَلٗا قَرۡيَةٗ كَانَتۡ ءَامِنَةٗ مُّطۡمَئِنَّةٗ يَأۡتِيهَا رِزۡقُهَا رَغَدٗا مِّن كُلِّ مَكَانٖ فَكَفَرَتۡ بِأَنۡعُمِ ٱللَّهِ فَأَذَٰقَهَا ٱللَّهُ لِبَاسَ ٱلۡجُوعِ وَٱلۡخَوۡفِ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَصۡنَعُونَ

112. And Allah presented the example of a town, which was safe and satisfied, receiving its provision abundantly from all directions. But it showed ingratitude to the blessings of Allah, so Allah made it taste the punishment of hunger and fear [249], as a recompense for what they used to do [250].
