Ayah 16

بَلۡ تُؤۡثِرُونَ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنۡيَا

16. But you prefer [19] the life of this world.

Surah Name : Al-A'la   Surah Number : 87   Ayat Number: 16

Ayah 86

أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱشۡتَرَوُاْ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنۡيَا بِٱلۡأٓخِرَةِۖ فَلَا يُخَفَّفُ عَنۡهُمُ ٱلۡعَذَابُ وَلَا هُمۡ يُنصَرُونَ

86. These are the people who have bought the life of this world in exchange for the Hereafter. The punishment will not be lightened for them, nor will they be helped [160].

Surah Name : Al-Baqarah   Surah Number : 2   Ayat Number: 86

Ayah 130

وَمَن يَرۡغَبُ عَن مِّلَّةِ إِبۡرَٰهِـۧمَ إِلَّا مَن سَفِهَ نَفۡسَهُۥۚ وَلَقَدِ ٱصۡطَفَيۡنَٰهُ فِي ٱلدُّنۡيَاۖ وَإِنَّهُۥ فِي ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ لَمِنَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ

130. And who can turn away from the religion of Ibrahim except one who has made a fool of himself? Indeed, We have chosen him in this world, and surely in the Hereafter, he will be among the righteous [264].

Ayah 28

وَٱصۡبِرۡ نَفۡسَكَ مَعَ ٱلَّذِينَ يَدۡعُونَ رَبَّهُم بِٱلۡغَدَوٰةِ وَٱلۡعَشِيِّ يُرِيدُونَ وَجۡهَهُۥۖ وَلَا تَعۡدُ عَيۡنَاكَ عَنۡهُمۡ تُرِيدُ زِينَةَ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡيَاۖ وَلَا تُطِعۡ مَنۡ أَغۡفَلۡنَا قَلۡبَهُۥ عَن ذِكۡرِنَا وَٱتَّبَعَ هَوَىٰهُ وَكَانَ أَمۡرُهُۥ فُرُطٗا

28. And keep yourself patient with those who call upon their Lord morning and evening, seeking His pleasure. [64] And do not let your eyes overlook them, desiring the adornment of the worldly life. [65] And do not obey him whose heart We have made neglectful of Our remembrance, who follows his own desire, [66] and whose affair has exceeded the limits.

Surah Name : Al-Kahf   Surah Number : 18   Ayat Number: 28

Ayah 45

وَٱضۡرِبۡ لَهُم مَّثَلَ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡيَا كَمَآءٍ أَنزَلۡنَٰهُ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَٱخۡتَلَطَ بِهِۦ نَبَاتُ ٱلۡأَرۡضِ فَأَصۡبَحَ هَشِيمٗا تَذۡرُوهُ ٱلرِّيَٰحُۗ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ مُّقۡتَدِرًا

45. And relate to them the example of the life of the world: it is like water We sent down [104] from the heaven, then the greenery of the earth because of it came out thickly, and then it became dry grass which the wind scatters. And Allah is powerful [105] over everything [106].

Surah Name : Al-Kahf   Surah Number : 18   Ayat Number: 45

Ayah 46

ٱلۡمَالُ وَٱلۡبَنُونَ زِينَةُ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡيَاۖ وَٱلۡبَٰقِيَٰتُ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَٰتُ خَيۡرٌ عِندَ رَبِّكَ ثَوَابٗا وَخَيۡرٌ أَمَلٗا

46. The wealth and sons are an adornment [107] of the life of this world, and the lasting good deeds [108] are better with your Lord in reward and best in hope.

Surah Name : Al-Kahf   Surah Number : 18   Ayat Number: 46

Ayah 104

ٱلَّذِينَ ضَلَّ سَعۡيُهُمۡ فِي ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡيَا وَهُمۡ يَحۡسَبُونَ أَنَّهُمۡ يُحۡسِنُونَ صُنۡعًا

104. Those whose efforts have been wasted in this worldly life, while they think that they are doing good work [228].

Surah Name : Al-Kahf   Surah Number : 18   Ayat Number: 104

Ayah 8

وَمَا جَعَلۡنَٰهُمۡ جَسَدٗا لَّا يَأۡكُلُونَ ٱلطَّعَامَ وَمَا كَانُواْ خَٰلِدِينَ

8. And We made them not mere bodies that they may not eat food [14] and nor live in the world forever [15].

Surah Name : Al-Anbiya   Surah Number : 21   Ayat Number: 8

Ayah 34

وَمَا جَعَلۡنَا لِبَشَرٖ مِّن قَبۡلِكَ ٱلۡخُلۡدَۖ أَفَإِيْن مِّتَّ فَهُمُ ٱلۡخَٰلِدُونَ

34. And We made not before you for any man to live forever [51] in the world. Will they then live forever if you pass away?

Surah Name : Al-Anbiya   Surah Number : 21   Ayat Number: 34

Ayah 71

وَنَجَّيۡنَٰهُ وَلُوطًا إِلَى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ ٱلَّتِي بَٰرَكۡنَا فِيهَا لِلۡعَٰلَمِينَ

71. And We delivered [102], him and Lut, towards the land in which We had placed the blessings for the worlds [103].

Surah Name : Al-Anbiya   Surah Number : 21   Ayat Number: 71

Ayah 91

وَٱلَّتِيٓ أَحۡصَنَتۡ فَرۡجَهَا فَنَفَخۡنَا فِيهَا مِن رُّوحِنَا وَجَعَلۡنَٰهَا وَٱبۡنَهَآ ءَايَةٗ لِّلۡعَٰلَمِينَ

91. And as to she who guarded her chastity [140], then breathed into her of Our spirit [141], and made her and her son a sign for the world (142).

Surah Name : Al-Anbiya   Surah Number : 21   Ayat Number: 91

Ayah 107

وَمَآ أَرۡسَلۡنَٰكَ إِلَّا رَحۡمَةٗ لِّلۡعَٰلَمِينَ

107. And We did not send you but as a Mercy for all worlds [166].

Surah Name : Al-Anbiya   Surah Number : 21   Ayat Number: 107

Ayah 10

وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ مَن يَقُولُ ءَامَنَّا بِٱللَّهِ فَإِذَآ أُوذِيَ فِي ٱللَّهِ جَعَلَ فِتۡنَةَ ٱلنَّاسِ كَعَذَابِ ٱللَّهِۖ وَلَئِن جَآءَ نَصۡرٞ مِّن رَّبِّكَ لَيَقُولُنَّ إِنَّا كُنَّا مَعَكُمۡۚ أَوَلَيۡسَ ٱللَّهُ بِأَعۡلَمَ بِمَا فِي صُدُورِ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ

10. And among the people are those who say, "We have believed in Allah," but when they are harmed for Allah's sake, they consider the people's persecution as if it were Allah's punishment [19]. And if victory comes from your Lord [20], they will surely say, "Indeed, we were with you" [21]. Does Allah not know best what is in the hearts of all the worlds? [22]

Surah Name : Al-Ankabut   Surah Number : 29   Ayat Number: 10

Ayah 15

فَأَنجَيۡنَٰهُ وَأَصۡحَٰبَ ٱلسَّفِينَةِ وَجَعَلۡنَٰهَآ ءَايَةٗ لِّلۡعَٰلَمِينَ

15. Then We saved him [30] And those in the ark, and made the Ark a sign for the entire world. [31]

Surah Name : Al-Ankabut   Surah Number : 29   Ayat Number: 15

Ayah 25

وَقَالَ إِنَّمَا ٱتَّخَذۡتُم مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ أَوۡثَٰنٗا مَّوَدَّةَ بَيۡنِكُمۡ فِي ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡيَاۖ ثُمَّ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ يَكۡفُرُ بَعۡضُكُم بِبَعۡضٖ وَيَلۡعَنُ بَعۡضُكُم بَعۡضٗا وَمَأۡوَىٰكُمُ ٱلنَّارُ وَمَا لَكُم مِّن نَّـٰصِرِينَ

25. And Ibrahim said, "You have indeed taken besides Allah these idols as a bond of friendship between yourselves in the worldly life [53]. Then on the Day of Resurrection, some of you will disbelieve in others [54] and curse each other [55]. And your refuge will be the Fire [56], and you will have no helpers [57]."

Surah Name : Al-Ankabut   Surah Number : 29   Ayat Number: 25

Ayah 27

وَوَهَبۡنَا لَهُۥٓ إِسۡحَٰقَ وَيَعۡقُوبَ وَجَعَلۡنَا فِي ذُرِّيَّتِهِ ٱلنُّبُوَّةَ وَٱلۡكِتَٰبَ وَءَاتَيۡنَٰهُ أَجۡرَهُۥ فِي ٱلدُّنۡيَاۖ وَإِنَّهُۥ فِي ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ لَمِنَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ

27. And We bestowed upon him Ishaq [61] and Ya'qub, and We made prophethood and the Book [62] a part of his descendants. And We gave him his reward in this world [63]. Indeed, in the Hereafter, he is among the righteous [64].

Surah Name : Al-Ankabut   Surah Number : 29   Ayat Number: 27

Ayah 64

وَمَا هَٰذِهِ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنۡيَآ إِلَّا لَهۡوٞ وَلَعِبٞۚ وَإِنَّ ٱلدَّارَ ٱلۡأٓخِرَةَ لَهِيَ ٱلۡحَيَوَانُۚ لَوۡ كَانُواْ يَعۡلَمُونَ

64. And this worldly life is nothing but amusement and diversion [154]. But indeed, the Hereafter is the true life [155]. If only they knew!

Surah Name : Al-Ankabut   Surah Number : 29   Ayat Number: 64

Ayah 33

وَقَالَ ٱلۡمَلَأُ مِن قَوۡمِهِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ وَكَذَّبُواْ بِلِقَآءِ ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ وَأَتۡرَفۡنَٰهُمۡ فِي ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡيَا مَا هَٰذَآ إِلَّا بَشَرٞ مِّثۡلُكُمۡ يَأۡكُلُ مِمَّا تَأۡكُلُونَ مِنۡهُ وَيَشۡرَبُ مِمَّا تَشۡرَبُونَ

33. And the chiefs of those people who disbelieved [52] and belied the presence of the Hereafter and who We gave comfort in the life of the world and said, "He is not but a man [53] like you", he eats of what you eat and drinks what you drink (54).

Surah Name : Al-Muminun   Surah Number : 23   Ayat Number: 33

Ayah 37

إِنۡ هِيَ إِلَّا حَيَاتُنَا ٱلدُّنۡيَا نَمُوتُ وَنَحۡيَا وَمَا نَحۡنُ بِمَبۡعُوثِينَ

37. That is not but our life of this world that we die and we [58] live and we are not to be raised up [59].

Surah Name : Al-Muminun   Surah Number : 23   Ayat Number: 37

Ayah 101

۞رَبِّ قَدۡ ءَاتَيۡتَنِي مِنَ ٱلۡمُلۡكِ وَعَلَّمۡتَنِي مِن تَأۡوِيلِ ٱلۡأَحَادِيثِۚ فَاطِرَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ أَنتَ وَلِيِّۦ فِي ٱلدُّنۡيَا وَٱلۡأٓخِرَةِۖ تَوَفَّنِي مُسۡلِمٗا وَأَلۡحِقۡنِي بِٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ

101. My Lord, You have bestowed dominion upon me and have taught me to comprehend the depths of things [217]. O Creator of the heavens and the earth, You are my Guardian in this world and the Hereafter. Cause me to die as a Muslim and join me with the righteous [218].
