Ayah 11 of 20

وَذَرۡنِي وَٱلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ أُوْلِي ٱلنَّعۡمَةِ وَمَهِّلۡهُمۡ قَلِيلًا

Wa zarnee walmukaz zibeena ulin na'mati wa mahhilhum qaleelaa
11. And leave Me with those who deny the truth, those who live in luxury [14], and allow them respite for a little while [15].

Yawma tarjuful ardu waljibaalu wa kaanatil jibaalu kaseebam maheelaa
14. The day the earth and the mountains will quake, and the mountains will become heaps of shifting sand.

إِنَّآ أَرۡسَلۡنَآ إِلَيۡكُمۡ رَسُولٗا شَٰهِدًا عَلَيۡكُمۡ كَمَآ أَرۡسَلۡنَآ إِلَىٰ فِرۡعَوۡنَ رَسُولٗا

Innaa arsalnaaa ilaikum rasoolan shaahidan 'aleykum kamaaa arsalnaaa ilaa Fir'awna rasoolaa
15.Indeed, We have sent to you [18] a Messenger [19], who is a witness [20] against you, just as We sent a Messenger towards Pharaoh [21].

فَعَصَىٰ فِرۡعَوۡنُ ٱلرَّسُولَ فَأَخَذۡنَٰهُ أَخۡذٗا وَبِيلٗا

Fa'asaa Fir'awnur Rasoola fa akhaznaahu akhzanw wabeelaa
16.But Pharaoh disobeyed [22] the Messenger. So We seized him with a terrible penalty [23].

Fakaifa tattaqoona in kafartum yawmany yaj'alul wildaana sheeba
17. How then, if you disbelieved [24], will you become pious, on the day which shall make children [25] grey-headed?

ٱلسَّمَآءُ مُنفَطِرُۢ بِهِۦۚ كَانَ وَعۡدُهُۥ مَفۡعُولًا

Assamaaa'u munfatirum bih; kaana wa'duhoo maf'oola
18. When the sky shall be rent asunder, thereby His promise is bound to be fulfilled.

Inna haazihee tazkiratun fa man shaaa'at takhaza ilaa Rabbihee sabeelaa
19. Indeed, this is a reminder [26]. Then let him, who wills so, take the way [27] to his Lord.

۞إِنَّ رَبَّكَ يَعۡلَمُ أَنَّكَ تَقُومُ أَدۡنَىٰ مِن ثُلُثَيِ ٱلَّيۡلِ وَنِصۡفَهُۥ وَثُلُثَهُۥ وَطَآئِفَةٞ مِّنَ ٱلَّذِينَ مَعَكَۚ وَٱللَّهُ يُقَدِّرُ ٱلَّيۡلَ وَٱلنَّهَارَۚ عَلِمَ أَن لَّن تُحۡصُوهُ فَتَابَ عَلَيۡكُمۡۖ فَٱقۡرَءُواْ مَا تَيَسَّرَ مِنَ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانِۚ عَلِمَ أَن سَيَكُونُ مِنكُم مَّرۡضَىٰ وَءَاخَرُونَ يَضۡرِبُونَ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ يَبۡتَغُونَ مِن فَضۡلِ ٱللَّهِ وَءَاخَرُونَ يُقَٰتِلُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِۖ فَٱقۡرَءُواْ مَا تَيَسَّرَ مِنۡهُۚ وَأَقِيمُواْ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتُواْ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَأَقۡرِضُواْ ٱللَّهَ قَرۡضًا حَسَنٗاۚ وَمَا تُقَدِّمُواْ لِأَنفُسِكُم مِّنۡ خَيۡرٖ تَجِدُوهُ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ هُوَ خَيۡرٗا وَأَعۡظَمَ أَجۡرٗاۚ وَٱسۡتَغۡفِرُواْ ٱللَّهَۖ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٞ رَّحِيمُۢ

Inna Rabbaka ya'lamu annaka taqoomu adnaa min sulusa yil laili wa nisfahoo wa sulusahoo wa taaa'ifatum minal lazeena ma'ak; wal laahu yuqaddirul laila wanna haar; 'alima al lan tuhsoohu fataaba 'alaikum faqra'oo maa tayassara minal quraan; 'alima an sa yakoonu minkum mardaa wa aakharoona yadriboona fil ardi yabtaghoona min fadlil laahi wa aakharoona yuqaatiloona fee sabeelil laahi faqra'oo ma tayassara minhu wa aqeemus salaata wa aatuz zakaata wa aqridul laaha qardan hasanaa; wa maa tuqaddimoo li anfusikum min khairin tajidoohu 'indal laahi huwa khayranw wa a'zama ajraa; wastaghfirul laahaa innal laaha ghafoorur raheem.
20.Verily, your Lord knows that you remain standing in devotion nearly two-thirds of the night, and sometimes half of it, and sometimes a third of it, along with a party of your Companions [29] with you.
And Allah measures [30] the night and the day. He knows that you [31] are not able to calculate it. So He has turned to you (mercifully). Therefore, recite [32] how much is easy out of the Quran. He knows that some of you will fall ill [33], and others will travel in the land seeking the Bounty of Allah, and others will fight [34] in the Path of Allah.

Therefore, recite [35] as much of it as is easy (for you) and keep up Salaah and pay the Zakaah [36] and offer to Allah a good loan [37].

And whatever of good you send beforehand [38] for yourselves, you will find it with Allah, better and greater in reward. Certainly, Allah is Most Forgiving, Ever Merciful [39].
