Surah Ar-Rum

English Translation, Transliteration, Tafsir - Ayat [31-40]
 
Ayah 31 of 10

۞مُنِيبِينَ إِلَيۡهِ وَٱتَّقُوهُ وَأَقِيمُواْ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَلَا تَكُونُواْ مِنَ ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ

Muneebeena ilaihi wattaqoohu wa aqeemus Salaata wa laa takoonoo minal mushrikeen
31. "Turn to Him [67] in repentance, and fear Him and establish [68] prayer, and be not of the polytheists (69)."
Ayah 32 of 10

مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ فَرَّقُواْ دِينَهُمۡ وَكَانُواْ شِيَعٗاۖ كُلُّ حِزۡبِۭ بِمَا لَدَيۡهِمۡ فَرِحُونَ

Minal lazeena farraqoo deenahum wa kaanoo shiya'an kullu hizbim bimaa ladaihim farihoon
32.They are those who have split up (70 )their religion and have become many sects. Every sect is happy (71)with what they have with them.
Ayah 33 of 10

وَإِذَا مَسَّ ٱلنَّاسَ ضُرّٞ دَعَوۡاْ رَبَّهُم مُّنِيبِينَ إِلَيۡهِ ثُمَّ إِذَآ أَذَاقَهُم مِّنۡهُ رَحۡمَةً إِذَا فَرِيقٞ مِّنۡهُم بِرَبِّهِمۡ يُشۡرِكُونَ

Wa izaa massan naasa durrun da'aw Rabbahum muneebeena ilaihi summa izaaa azaqahum minhu rahmatan izaa fareequm minhum be Rabbihim yushrikoon
33.And when any hurt [72] touches mankind, they call their Lord turning [73] towards Him. Then when He lets them taste (74) mercy, then a group of them start to be polytheists (75), associating partners with their Lord.
Ayah 34 of 10

لِيَكۡفُرُواْ بِمَآ ءَاتَيۡنَٰهُمۡۚ فَتَمَتَّعُواْ فَسَوۡفَ تَعۡلَمُونَ

Li yakfuroo bimaaa aatainaahum; fatamatta'oo fasawfa ta'lamoon
34. Thus, they become ungrateful for what We have given them. So enjoy (a while) then soon you are to know (76) (its result).

أَمۡ أَنزَلۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ سُلۡطَٰنٗا فَهُوَ يَتَكَلَّمُ بِمَا كَانُواْ بِهِۦ يُشۡرِكُونَ

Am anzalnaa 'alaihim sultaanan fahuwa yatakallamu bimaa kaanoo bihee yushrikoon
35.Have We revealed to them any authority that speaks in favour of that they become Our associates? [77].

Ayah 36 of 10

وَإِذَآ أَذَقۡنَا ٱلنَّاسَ رَحۡمَةٗ فَرِحُواْ بِهَاۖ وَإِن تُصِبۡهُمۡ سَيِّئَةُۢ بِمَا قَدَّمَتۡ أَيۡدِيهِمۡ إِذَا هُمۡ يَقۡنَطُونَ

Wa izaaa azaqnan naasa rahmatan farihoo bihaa wa in tusibhum sayyi'atum bimaa qaddamat aydeehim izaa hum yaqnatoon
36.And when We cause mankind to taste mercy, they rejoice [78] in it. And if any evil befalls them as a result of what their hands have sent forth, they become despaired [79].
Ayah 37 of 10

أَوَلَمۡ يَرَوۡاْ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَبۡسُطُ ٱلرِّزۡقَ لِمَن يَشَآءُ وَيَقۡدِرُۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَٰتٖ لِّقَوۡمٖ يُؤۡمِنُونَ

Awalam yaraw annal laaha yabsutur rizqa limai yashaaa'u wa yaqdir; inna fee zaalika la Aayaatil liqawminy yu'minoon
37. Have they not seen that Allah expands the provision for whom He pleases, and shortens for whom He pleases? Surely in it are signs for the people who believe [80].
Ayah 38 of 10

فَـَٔاتِ ذَا ٱلۡقُرۡبَىٰ حَقَّهُۥ وَٱلۡمِسۡكِينَ وَٱبۡنَ ٱلسَّبِيلِۚ ذَٰلِكَ خَيۡرٞ لِّلَّذِينَ يُرِيدُونَ وَجۡهَ ٱللَّهِۖ وَأُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلۡمُفۡلِحُونَ

Fa aati zal qurbaa haqqahoo walmiskeena wabnassabeel; zaalika khairul lil lazeena yureedoona Wajhal laahi wa ulaaa'ika humul muflihoon
38. Therefore give the kinsman his right [81], and to the needy and the wayfarer [82]. This is better for those who seek the pleasure of Allah, and it is they who become prosperous (83)
Ayah 39 of 10

وَمَآ ءَاتَيۡتُم مِّن رِّبٗا لِّيَرۡبُوَاْ فِيٓ أَمۡوَٰلِ ٱلنَّاسِ فَلَا يَرۡبُواْ عِندَ ٱللَّهِۖ وَمَآ ءَاتَيۡتُم مِّن زَكَوٰةٖ تُرِيدُونَ وَجۡهَ ٱللَّهِ فَأُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلۡمُضۡعِفُونَ

Wa maaa aataitum mir ribal li yarbuwa feee amwaalin naasi falaa yarboo 'indal laahi wa maaa aataitum min zaakaatin tureedoona wajhal laahi fa ulaaa'ika humul mud'ifoon
39.And whatever you pay as usury (interest) that it may increase the wealth of the givers, and then it will not increase (84) with Allah. And whatever you give as charity (Zakaat) desiring Allah's pleasure (85), and then it will increase manifold (86),
Ayah 40 of 10

ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَكُمۡ ثُمَّ رَزَقَكُمۡ ثُمَّ يُمِيتُكُمۡ ثُمَّ يُحۡيِيكُمۡۖ هَلۡ مِن شُرَكَآئِكُم مَّن يَفۡعَلُ مِن ذَٰلِكُم مِّن شَيۡءٖۚ سُبۡحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ عَمَّا يُشۡرِكُونَ

Allaahul lazee khalaqa kum summa razaqakum summa yumeetukum summa yuhyeekum hal min shurakaaa'ikum mai yaf'alu min zaalikum min shai'; Sub haanahoo wa Ta'aalaa 'ammaa yushrikoon (section 4)
40.Allah is He Who has created you, and then provides [87] for you. Then He will cause you to die, and then He will give you life[88]. Then is there any of your associates who may do (89) any of these things? Glorified and Exalted is He. free from what they associate.
