Verset 31 sur 59

مِن فِرۡعَوۡنَۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ عَالِيٗا مِّنَ ٱلۡمُسۡرِفِينَ

Min Fir'awn; innahoo kaana 'aaliyam minal musrifeen
31. de Pharaon qui était arrogant et enclin aux outrances.

Verset 32 sur 59

وَلَقَدِ ٱخۡتَرۡنَٰهُمۡ عَلَىٰ عِلۡمٍ عَلَى ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ

Wa laqadikh tarnaahum 'alaa 'ilmin 'alal 'aalameen
32. De tous les peuples de l’Univers, Nous les avons choisis en toute connaissance parmi les autres peuples (de leur temps).

Verset 33 sur 59

وَءَاتَيۡنَٰهُم مِّنَ ٱلۡأٓيَٰتِ مَا فِيهِ بَلَـٰٓؤٞاْ مُّبِينٌ

Wa aatainaahum minal aayaati maa feehi balaaa'um mubeen
33. Nous avons produit devant eux des prodiges qui devaient leur être des épreuves manifestes.

إِنَّ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ لَيَقُولُونَ

Verset 35 sur 59

إِنۡ هِيَ إِلَّا مَوۡتَتُنَا ٱلۡأُولَىٰ وَمَا نَحۡنُ بِمُنشَرِينَ

In hiya illaa mawtatunal oolaa wa maa nahnu bimun shareen
35. « Il n’y aura que notre première mort, et nous ne serons point ressuscités.

فَأۡتُواْ بِـَٔابَآئِنَآ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَٰدِقِينَ

Fa'too bi aabaaa'inaaa inkuntum saadiqeen
36. Faites donc revenir nos ancêtres, si ce que vous dites est vrai ! »

Verset 37 sur 59

أَهُمۡ خَيۡرٌ أَمۡ قَوۡمُ تُبَّعٖ وَٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡ أَهۡلَكۡنَٰهُمۡۚ إِنَّهُمۡ كَانُواْ مُجۡرِمِينَ

Ahum khayrun am qawmu Tubba'inw wallazeena min qablihim; ahlaknaahum innahum kaanoo mujrimeen
37. Sont-ils meilleurs que le peuple de Tubba‘ [491] et les (générations) d’avant ? Nous les avons fait périr, car ils étaient coupables.

Verset 38 sur 59

وَمَا خَلَقۡنَا ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَا لَٰعِبِينَ

Wa maa khalaqnas samaawaati wal arda wa maa baina humaa laa'ibeen
38. Nous n’avons pas créé les cieux, la terre et ce qu’il y a entre eux pour Nous divertir.

Verset 39 sur 59

مَا خَلَقۡنَٰهُمَآ إِلَّا بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكۡثَرَهُمۡ لَا يَعۡلَمُونَ

Maa khalaqnaahumaaa illaa bilhaqqi wa laakinna aksarahum laa ya'lamoon
39. Nous ne les avons créés qu’en toute vérité. Mais la plupart d’entre eux ne le savent point.

40. Le Jour de la Décision sera celui de leur comparution à tous.
