Versículo 71 de 118

وَلَوِ ٱتَّبَعَ ٱلۡحَقُّ أَهۡوَآءَهُمۡ لَفَسَدَتِ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتُ وَٱلۡأَرۡضُ وَمَن فِيهِنَّۚ بَلۡ أَتَيۡنَٰهُم بِذِكۡرِهِمۡ فَهُمۡ عَن ذِكۡرِهِم مُّعۡرِضُونَ

Wa lawit taba'al haqqu ahwaaa'ahum lafasadatis samaawaatu wal ardu wa man feehinnn; bal atainaahum bizikrihim fahum 'an zikrihim mu'ridoon
71. Si la verdad[660]hubiese seguido sus pasiones, se habrían corrompido los cielos y la tierra y cuanto hay en ellos. Mas les hemos concedido una exhortación (el Corán) que los honraría (si la siguieran); y, no obstante, se apartan de ella.

Versículo 72 de 118

أَمۡ تَسۡـَٔلُهُمۡ خَرۡجٗا فَخَرَاجُ رَبِّكَ خَيۡرٞۖ وَهُوَ خَيۡرُ ٱلرَّـٰزِقِينَ

Am tas'aluhum kharjan fakharaaju Rabbika khairunw wa Huwa khairur raaziqeen
72. ¿O acaso les pides (¡oh, Muhammad!) una retribución a cambio (de trasmitirles el mensaje, y ello les impide creer)? (Mas no les pides nada, pues) la mejor retribución es la de tu Señor y Él es el mejor de los proveedores.

Versículo 73 de 118

وَإِنَّكَ لَتَدۡعُوهُمۡ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطٖ مُّسۡتَقِيمٖ

Wa innaka latad'oohum ilaa Siraatim Mustaqeem
73. Y tú, ciertamente, los invitas al camino recto.

Versículo 74 de 118

وَإِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤۡمِنُونَ بِٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ عَنِ ٱلصِّرَٰطِ لَنَٰكِبُونَ

Wa innnal lazeena laa yu'minoona bil Aakhirati 'anis siraati lanaakiboon
74. Y quienes no creen en la otra vida se desvían de él.

Versículo 75 de 118

۞وَلَوۡ رَحِمۡنَٰهُمۡ وَكَشَفۡنَا مَا بِهِم مِّن ضُرّٖ لَّلَجُّواْ فِي طُغۡيَٰنِهِمۡ يَعۡمَهُونَ

Wa law rahimnaahum wa kashafnaa maa bihim min durril lalajjoo fee tughyaanihim ya'mahoon
75. Y si nos apiadáramos de ellos y los librásemos del mal que los aflige, persistirían en sus transgresiones, extraviados y desorientados.

Versículo 76 de 118

وَلَقَدۡ أَخَذۡنَٰهُم بِٱلۡعَذَابِ فَمَا ٱسۡتَكَانُواْ لِرَبِّهِمۡ وَمَا يَتَضَرَّعُونَ

Wa laqad akhaznaahum bil'azaabi famastakaanoo li Rabbihim wa maa yatadarra'oon
76. Y, ciertamente, los castigamos; y no se volvieron a su Señor con humildad y sumisión ni Le suplicaron ayuda.

Versículo 77 de 118

حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا فَتَحۡنَا عَلَيۡهِم بَابٗا ذَا عَذَابٖ شَدِيدٍ إِذَا هُمۡ فِيهِ مُبۡلِسُونَ

Hattaaa izaa fatahnaa 'alaihim baaban zaa 'azaabin shadeedin izaa hum feehi mublisoon (section 4)
77. Y cuando abramos ante ellos las puertas de un severo castigo (en la otra vida), se desesperarán.

Versículo 78 de 118

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِيٓ أَنشَأَ لَكُمُ ٱلسَّمۡعَ وَٱلۡأَبۡصَٰرَ وَٱلۡأَفۡـِٔدَةَۚ قَلِيلٗا مَّا تَشۡكُرُونَ

Wa Huwal lazeee ansha a-lakumus sam'a wal absaara wal af'idah; qaleelam maa tashkuroon
78. Y Él es Quien creó para vosotros el oído, la vista y el entendimiento; mas apenas sois agradecidos.

Versículo 79 de 118

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِي ذَرَأَكُمۡ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَإِلَيۡهِ تُحۡشَرُونَ

Wa Huwal lazee zara akum fil ardi wa ilaihi tuhsharoon
79. Y Él es Quien os creó (y diseminó) sobre la tierra, y seréis reunidos ante Él (para ser juzgados).

Versículo 80 de 118

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِي يُحۡيِۦ وَيُمِيتُ وَلَهُ ٱخۡتِلَٰفُ ٱلَّيۡلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِۚ أَفَلَا تَعۡقِلُونَ

Wa Huwal lazee yuhyee wa yumeetu wa lahukh tilaaful laili wannahaar; afalaa ta'qiloon
80. Y Él es Quien da la vida y la muerte, y Quien hace que la noche y el día se sucedan. ¿Acaso no razonáis?
