Ayah 16

ٱلَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَآ إِنَّنَآ ءَامَنَّا فَٱغۡفِرۡ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا وَقِنَا عَذَابَ ٱلنَّارِ

16. They are those who say: "Our Lord, indeed we have accepted faith [33], so forgive us our sins and protect us from the punishment of Hell."

Ayah 17

ٱلصَّـٰبِرِينَ وَٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ وَٱلۡقَٰنِتِينَ وَٱلۡمُنفِقِينَ وَٱلۡمُسۡتَغۡفِرِينَ بِٱلۡأَسۡحَارِ

17. They are the steadfast, the obedient, and the humble; those who spend (in the way of Allah) and those who seek forgiveness in the early hours of the morning [34].

Ayah 31

قُلۡ إِن كُنتُمۡ تُحِبُّونَ ٱللَّهَ فَٱتَّبِعُونِي يُحۡبِبۡكُمُ ٱللَّهُ وَيَغۡفِرۡ لَكُمۡ ذُنُوبَكُمۡۚ وَٱللَّهُ غَفُورٞ رَّحِيمٞ

31. Please declare (O Beloved Prophet): "If you love Allah, you should follow me [68]. (Only then) Allah will love you and forgive you your faults. And Allah is Most Forgiving, the Merciful [69].

Ayah 129

وَلِلَّهِ مَا فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ يَغۡفِرُ لِمَن يَشَآءُ وَيُعَذِّبُ مَن يَشَآءُۚ وَٱللَّهُ غَفُورٞ رَّحِيمٞ

129. And to Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth [278]. He forgives whomever He pleases and punishes whomever He pleases. And Allah is Forgiving and merciful [279].

Ayah 134

ٱلَّذِينَ يُنفِقُونَ فِي ٱلسَّرَّآءِ وَٱلضَّرَّآءِ وَٱلۡكَٰظِمِينَ ٱلۡغَيۡظَ وَٱلۡعَافِينَ عَنِ ٱلنَّاسِۗ وَٱللَّهُ يُحِبُّ ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِينَ

134.Who spend money in the way of Allah during prosperity and adversity [286], and who restrain anger and pardon men [287]. And Allah loves those who are virtuous [288].

Ayah 136

أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ جَزَآؤُهُم مَّغۡفِرَةٞ مِّن رَّبِّهِمۡ وَجَنَّـٰتٞ تَجۡرِي مِن تَحۡتِهَا ٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَاۚ وَنِعۡمَ أَجۡرُ ٱلۡعَٰمِلِينَ

136. The reward for them is forgiveness from their Lord and gardens beneath which rivers flow, where they will live forever. And excellent is the reward for those who do good deeds.

Ayah 147

وَمَا كَانَ قَوۡلَهُمۡ إِلَّآ أَن قَالُواْ رَبَّنَا ٱغۡفِرۡ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا وَإِسۡرَافَنَا فِيٓ أَمۡرِنَا وَثَبِّتۡ أَقۡدَامَنَا وَٱنصُرۡنَا عَلَى ٱلۡقَوۡمِ ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ

147. And they uttered nothing [316] more than this prayer: "O our Lord, forgive our sins and everything we have done in excess in our matters, and make firm [317] our steps, and help us against these disbelieving people" [318].

Ayah 157

وَلَئِن قُتِلۡتُمۡ فِي سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ أَوۡ مُتُّمۡ لَمَغۡفِرَةٞ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَرَحۡمَةٌ خَيۡرٞ مِّمَّا يَجۡمَعُونَ

157. And what if you are slain in the Cause of Allah or die [354]? Then the forgiveness from Allah and His mercy is better than all that they amass [355].

Ayah 193

رَّبَّنَآ إِنَّنَا سَمِعۡنَا مُنَادِيٗا يُنَادِي لِلۡإِيمَٰنِ أَنۡ ءَامِنُواْ بِرَبِّكُمۡ فَـَٔامَنَّاۚ رَبَّنَا فَٱغۡفِرۡ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا وَكَفِّرۡ عَنَّا سَيِّـَٔاتِنَا وَتَوَفَّنَا مَعَ ٱلۡأَبۡرَارِ

193. O our Lord! Indeed, we have heard [439] a proclaimer (Prophet Muhammad) calling to faith (saying): "Believe in your Lord." Then we believed [440]. O our Lord! Forgive us our sins and remove from us our misdeeds and cause us to die with the righteous [441].

Ayah 16

قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي ظَلَمۡتُ نَفۡسِي فَٱغۡفِرۡ لِي فَغَفَرَ لَهُۥٓۚ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلۡغَفُورُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ

16. He said, 'O my Lord, I have wronged my soul, [43] so forgive me,' and He forgave him. Indeed, He is the Forgiving, the Merciful. [44]

Ayah 17

إِن تُقۡرِضُواْ ٱللَّهَ قَرۡضًا حَسَنٗا يُضَٰعِفۡهُ لَكُمۡ وَيَغۡفِرۡ لَكُمۡۚ وَٱللَّهُ شَكُورٌ حَلِيمٌ

17. If you lend Allah a good loan, He will double it for you, and forgive [42] you, and Allah is Appreciating,Forbearing.

Surah Name : At-Taghabun   Surah Number : 64   Ayat Number: 17

Ayah 53

۞قُلۡ يَٰعِبَادِيَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَسۡرَفُواْ عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِهِمۡ لَا تَقۡنَطُواْ مِن رَّحۡمَةِ ٱللَّهِۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَغۡفِرُ ٱلذُّنُوبَ جَمِيعًاۚ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلۡغَفُورُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ

53. Please declare: "O My devotees [132], who [133] have committed excesses against their own souls (134), do not despair of the Mercy of Allah. Surely Allah forgives all the sins (135). Indeed He is the Most Forgiving (136), the Most Merciful".

Surah Name : Az-Zumar   Surah Number : 39   Ayat Number: 53

Ayah 118

إِن تُعَذِّبۡهُمۡ فَإِنَّهُمۡ عِبَادُكَۖ وَإِن تَغۡفِرۡ لَهُمۡ فَإِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلۡحَكِيمُ

118. If You punish them, they are Your bondsmen [323], and if You forgive them, then surely You are the Mighty, the Wise [324].

Surah Name : Al-Maidah   Surah Number : 5   Ayat Number: 118

Ayah 74

أَفَلَا يَتُوبُونَ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ وَيَسۡتَغۡفِرُونَهُۥۚ وَٱللَّهُ غَفُورٞ رَّحِيمٞ

74. Then why do they not turn to Allah and seek His forgiveness? [221] And Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

Ayah 18

وَقَالَتِ ٱلۡيَهُودُ وَٱلنَّصَٰرَىٰ نَحۡنُ أَبۡنَـٰٓؤُاْ ٱللَّهِ وَأَحِبَّـٰٓؤُهُۥۚ قُلۡ فَلِمَ يُعَذِّبُكُم بِذُنُوبِكُمۖ بَلۡ أَنتُم بَشَرٞ مِّمَّنۡ خَلَقَۚ يَغۡفِرُ لِمَن يَشَآءُ وَيُعَذِّبُ مَن يَشَآءُۚ وَلِلَّهِ مُلۡكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَاۖ وَإِلَيۡهِ ٱلۡمَصِيرُ

18. And the Yahud and the Nasara say: "We are the children of Allah and His dear ones" [75]. Please declare: "Why does He torment [76] you for your sins?" You are but mortal human beings among those whom He has created. He forgives whom He pleases [77]. And to Allah belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, and unto Him is the (final) destination.

Surah Name : Al-Maidah   Surah Number : 5   Ayat Number: 18

Ayah 9

وَعَدَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَٰتِ لَهُم مَّغۡفِرَةٞ وَأَجۡرٌ عَظِيمٞ

9. Allah has promised to the believers and those who do righteous deeds [48], that for them is forgiveness and great reward [49].

Surah Name : Al-Maidah   Surah Number : 5   Ayat Number: 9

Ayah 66

لَا تَعۡتَذِرُواْ قَدۡ كَفَرۡتُم بَعۡدَ إِيمَٰنِكُمۡۚ إِن نَّعۡفُ عَن طَآئِفَةٖ مِّنكُمۡ نُعَذِّبۡ طَآئِفَةَۢ بِأَنَّهُمۡ كَانُواْ مُجۡرِمِينَ,

66. Make no excuses; you have certainly disbelieved after your belief [182]. If We forgive [183] a group among you, We shall punish another group, because they were guilty.

Surah Name : At-Tawbah   Surah Number : 9   Ayat Number: 66

Ayah 80

ٱسۡتَغۡفِرۡ لَهُمۡ أَوۡ لَا تَسۡتَغۡفِرۡ لَهُمۡ إِن تَسۡتَغۡفِرۡ لَهُمۡ سَبۡعِينَ مَرَّةٗ فَلَن يَغۡفِرَ ٱللَّهُ لَهُمۡۚ ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمۡ كَفَرُواْ بِٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦۗ وَٱللَّهُ لَا يَهۡدِي ٱلۡقَوۡمَ ٱلۡفَٰسِقِينَ,

80. Whether you ask [220] for forgiveness for them or not, it is the same. If you ask for forgiveness for them seventy times, Allah will never [221] forgive them. This is because they have rejected [222] Allah and His Messenger. And Allah guides not the disobedient people [223].

Surah Name : At-Tawbah   Surah Number : 9   Ayat Number: 80

Ayah 113

مَا كَانَ لِلنَّبِيِّ وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ أَن يَسۡتَغۡفِرُواْ لِلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ وَلَوۡ كَانُوٓاْ أُوْلِي قُرۡبَىٰ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُمۡ أَنَّهُمۡ أَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلۡجَحِيمِ,

113. It is not for the Prophet and the believers to seek forgiveness [316] for the polytheists, even though they are close relatives [317], after it has been made clear to them that they are the inmates of Hell [318].

Surah Name : At-Tawbah   Surah Number : 9   Ayat Number: 113

Ayah 114

وَمَا كَانَ ٱسۡتِغۡفَارُ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ لِأَبِيهِ إِلَّا عَن مَّوۡعِدَةٖ وَعَدَهَآ إِيَّاهُ فَلَمَّا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُۥٓ أَنَّهُۥ عَدُوّٞ لِّلَّهِ تَبَرَّأَ مِنۡهُۚ إِنَّ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ لَأَوَّـٰهٌ حَلِيمٞ,

114. And the seeking of forgiveness by Ibrahim for his father was only due to a promise [319] he had made to him [320]. But when it became clear to him that he was an enemy [321] of Allah, he disassociated [322] himself from him. Indeed, Ibrahim was most tenderhearted and forbearing [323].
