Ayah 12

وَلَقَدۡ ءَاتَيۡنَا لُقۡمَٰنَ ٱلۡحِكۡمَةَ أَنِ ٱشۡكُرۡ لِلَّهِۚ وَمَن يَشۡكُرۡ فَإِنَّمَا يَشۡكُرُ لِنَفۡسِهِۦۖ وَمَن كَفَرَ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَنِيٌّ حَمِيدٞ

12. And indeed We bestowed upon Luqman [19] wisdom [20] saying: "Be grateful (21) to Allah". And whoever is grateful is grateful to the good of his own self (22), and whoever is ungrateful, then surely Allah is Self-Sufficient (23), Praised.

Surah Name : Luqman   Surah Number : 31   Ayat Number: 12

Ayah 14

وَوَصَّيۡنَا ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ بِوَٰلِدَيۡهِ حَمَلَتۡهُ أُمُّهُۥ وَهۡنًا عَلَىٰ وَهۡنٖ وَفِصَٰلُهُۥ فِي عَامَيۡنِ أَنِ ٱشۡكُرۡ لِي وَلِوَٰلِدَيۡكَ إِلَيَّ ٱلۡمَصِيرُ

14.And We have stressed on man [25] concerning his parents. The mother bears the child, undergoing weakness upon weakness [26]. And his weaning takes two years (27). So be grateful to Me and to your parents (28), And lastly the return is to me.

Surah Name : Luqman   Surah Number : 31   Ayat Number: 14

Ayah 31

أَلَمۡ تَرَ أَنَّ ٱلۡفُلۡكَ تَجۡرِي فِي ٱلۡبَحۡرِ بِنِعۡمَتِ ٱللَّهِ لِيُرِيَكُم مِّنۡ ءَايَٰتِهِۦٓۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَٰتٖ لِّكُلِّ صَبَّارٖ شَكُورٖ

31.Have you not seen the boats move in the river by the Grace [67] of Allah, that He may show some of His Signs [68]? Indeed, in it are signs for everyone who is patient and grateful (69).

Surah Name : Luqman   Surah Number : 31   Ayat Number: 31

Ayah 7

إِن تَكۡفُرُواْ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَنِيٌّ عَنكُمۡۖ وَلَا يَرۡضَىٰ لِعِبَادِهِ ٱلۡكُفۡرَۖ وَإِن تَشۡكُرُواْ يَرۡضَهُ لَكُمۡۗ وَلَا تَزِرُ وَازِرَةٞ وِزۡرَ أُخۡرَىٰۚ ثُمَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكُم مَّرۡجِعُكُمۡ فَيُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَۚ إِنَّهُۥ عَلِيمُۢ بِذَاتِ ٱلصُّدُورِ

7.If you ungrateful, then surely, Allah is Self-Sufficient [24], and He does not like the infidels [25] amongst His devotees. But if you are grateful (26) to Him, then He likes it in you. And no soul shall bear the burden of another (27). Then to your Lord is your return. And He will inform you of what you used to do. Indeed, He Knows well the secrets of the hearts.

Surah Name : Az-Zumar   Surah Number : 39   Ayat Number: 7

Ayah 89

لَا يُؤَاخِذُكُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِٱللَّغۡوِ فِيٓ أَيۡمَٰنِكُمۡ وَلَٰكِن يُؤَاخِذُكُم بِمَا عَقَّدتُّمُ ٱلۡأَيۡمَٰنَۖ فَكَفَّـٰرَتُهُۥٓ إِطۡعَامُ عَشَرَةِ مَسَٰكِينَ مِنۡ أَوۡسَطِ مَا تُطۡعِمُونَ أَهۡلِيكُمۡ أَوۡ كِسۡوَتُهُمۡ أَوۡ تَحۡرِيرُ رَقَبَةٖۖ فَمَن لَّمۡ يَجِدۡ فَصِيَامُ ثَلَٰثَةِ أَيَّامٖۚ ذَٰلِكَ كَفَّـٰرَةُ أَيۡمَٰنِكُمۡ إِذَا حَلَفۡتُمۡۚ وَٱحۡفَظُوٓاْ أَيۡمَٰنَكُمۡۚ كَذَٰلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ ٱللَّهُ لَكُمۡ ءَايَٰتِهِۦ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَشۡكُرُونَ

89. Allah does not hold you accountable for oaths taken by misunderstanding [245], but He will hold you responsible for oaths which you have made binding [246]. Then, the penalty for breaking such oaths is the feeding of ten needy people with the average food with which you feed your families, or clothing them, or freeing a slave. And whoever does not find [the means] — then a fast of three days [247]. This is the alternative penalty for your oaths when you have sworn. And guard your oaths [248]. Thus, Allah explains His signs to you so that you may be grateful.

Surah Name : Al-Maidah   Surah Number : 5   Ayat Number: 89

Ayah 6

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ إِذَا قُمۡتُمۡ إِلَى ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ فَٱغۡسِلُواْ وُجُوهَكُمۡ وَأَيۡدِيَكُمۡ إِلَى ٱلۡمَرَافِقِ وَٱمۡسَحُواْ بِرُءُوسِكُمۡ وَأَرۡجُلَكُمۡ إِلَى ٱلۡكَعۡبَيۡنِۚ وَإِن كُنتُمۡ جُنُبٗا فَٱطَّهَّرُواْۚ وَإِن كُنتُم مَّرۡضَىٰٓ أَوۡ عَلَىٰ سَفَرٍ أَوۡ جَآءَ أَحَدٞ مِّنكُم مِّنَ ٱلۡغَآئِطِ أَوۡ لَٰمَسۡتُمُ ٱلنِّسَآءَ فَلَمۡ تَجِدُواْ مَآءٗ فَتَيَمَّمُواْ صَعِيدٗا طَيِّبٗا فَٱمۡسَحُواْ بِوُجُوهِكُمۡ وَأَيۡدِيكُم مِّنۡهُۚ مَا يُرِيدُ ٱللَّهُ لِيَجۡعَلَ عَلَيۡكُم مِّنۡ حَرَجٖ وَلَٰكِن يُرِيدُ لِيُطَهِّرَكُمۡ وَلِيُتِمَّ نِعۡمَتَهُۥ عَلَيۡكُمۡ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَشۡكُرُونَ

6. O you who believe! When you stand up for Prayer (Salaah) [37], then wash your faces and your hands up to the elbows, and wipe over your heads, and wash your feet up to the ankles [38]. And if you are in a state of Janabah (after sexual intercourse) [39], then purify yourselves well. And if you are ill, or you are on a journey, or any one of you comes from a place of relieving himself [40], or you have touched women and in these conditions you do not find water [41], then take clean earth [42] and wipe therewith your faces and your hands (for Tayammum). Allah does not desire to place you in any difficulty, but He desires to purify you and to complete His favour upon you, so that you may be grateful.

Ayah 46

وَمِنۡ ءَايَٰتِهِۦٓ أَن يُرۡسِلَ ٱلرِّيَاحَ مُبَشِّرَٰتٖ وَلِيُذِيقَكُم مِّن رَّحۡمَتِهِۦ وَلِتَجۡرِيَ ٱلۡفُلۡكُ بِأَمۡرِهِۦ وَلِتَبۡتَغُواْ مِن فَضۡلِهِۦ وَلَعَلَّكُمۡ تَشۡكُرُونَ

46. And one of His signs is that He sends the winds as bearers of glad tidings, and in order that He may cause you to taste [102] His mercy. And that the ship may sail with His command [103]. And that you may seek His grace. So that you may be grateful (104).

Surah Name : Ar-Rum   Surah Number : 30   Ayat Number: 46

Ayah 7

وَإِذۡ تَأَذَّنَ رَبُّكُمۡ لَئِن شَكَرۡتُمۡ لَأَزِيدَنَّكُمۡۖ وَلَئِن كَفَرۡتُمۡ إِنَّ عَذَابِي لَشَدِيدٞ

7. And remember when your Lord proclaimed, “If you are grateful, I will certainly give you more [16], but if you are thankless, My punishment is severe.”

Surah Name : Ibrahim   Surah Number : 14   Ayat Number: 7

Ayah 49

وَتَرَى ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَ يَوۡمَئِذٖ مُّقَرَّنِينَ فِي ٱلۡأَصۡفَادِ

49. And you will see the criminals on that Day bound together in chains [108].

Surah Name : Ibrahim   Surah Number : 14   Ayat Number: 49

Ayah 62

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِي جَعَلَ ٱلَّيۡلَ وَٱلنَّهَارَ خِلۡفَةٗ لِّمَنۡ أَرَادَ أَن يَذَّكَّرَ أَوۡ أَرَادَ شُكُورٗا

62. And it is He Who has made the night and day changing [110] one after the other, for him who wishes to pay attention or intends to be grateful [111].

Surah Name : Al-Furqan   Surah Number : 25   Ayat Number: 62

Ayah 3

إِنَّا هَدَيۡنَٰهُ ٱلسَّبِيلَ إِمَّا شَاكِرٗا وَإِمَّا كَفُورًا

3. Indeed, We have shown him the way[6], whether he be grateful or ungrateful.

Surah Name : Al-Insan   Surah Number : 76   Ayat Number: 3

Ayah 4

إِنَّآ أَعۡتَدۡنَا لِلۡكَٰفِرِينَ سَلَٰسِلَاْ وَأَغۡلَٰلٗا وَسَعِيرًا

4. Indeed, We have prepared for the disbelievers chains, shackles, and a blazing fire[7].

Surah Name : Al-Insan   Surah Number : 76   Ayat Number: 4

Ayah 12

وَمَا يَسۡتَوِي ٱلۡبَحۡرَانِ هَٰذَا عَذۡبٞ فُرَاتٞ سَآئِغٞ شَرَابُهُۥ وَهَٰذَا مِلۡحٌ أُجَاجٞۖ وَمِن كُلّٖ تَأۡكُلُونَ لَحۡمٗا طَرِيّٗا وَتَسۡتَخۡرِجُونَ حِلۡيَةٗ تَلۡبَسُونَهَاۖ وَتَرَى ٱلۡفُلۡكَ فِيهِ مَوَاخِرَ لِتَبۡتَغُواْ مِن فَضۡلِهِۦ وَلَعَلَّكُمۡ تَشۡكُرُونَ

12.And the two seas are not alike [40], One is palatable, sweet and pleasant [41] to drink, and the other is salty (42), to bitter. And from each you eat fresh meat and take out ornaments (43) to wear. And you see the ships therein, cleaving (44) the water so that you may seek (45) His Bounty and that you be grateful.

Surah Name : Fatir   Surah Number : 35   Ayat Number: 12

Ayah 15

لَقَدۡ كَانَ لِسَبَإٖ فِي مَسۡكَنِهِمۡ ءَايَةٞۖ جَنَّتَانِ عَن يَمِينٖ وَشِمَالٖۖ كُلُواْ مِن رِّزۡقِ رَبِّكُمۡ وَٱشۡكُرُواْ لَهُۥۚ بَلۡدَةٞ طَيِّبَةٞ وَرَبٌّ غَفُورٞ

15. Indeed, for Saba (Sheba) (50) there was a sign in their own dwelling place, two gardens on the right hand and on the left. You eat of the provisions (52) of your Lord and are grateful to Him. Fair is your clean city (53) and a Forgiving (54) Lord.

Surah Name : Saba   Surah Number : 34   Ayat Number: 15

Ayah 70

لَوۡ نَشَآءُ جَعَلۡنَٰهُ أُجَاجٗا فَلَوۡلَا تَشۡكُرُونَ

70.If We Willed, We would have made it bitter [64]. Then why are you not grateful?

Surah Name : Al-Waqiah   Surah Number : 56   Ayat Number: 70

Ayah 35

نِّعۡمَةٗ مِّنۡ عِندِنَاۚ كَذَٰلِكَ نَجۡزِي مَن شَكَرَ

35.As a favour from Us. Thus do We reward the one who is grateful [46].

Surah Name : Al-Qamar   Surah Number : 54   Ayat Number: 35

Ayah 12

۞ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِي سَخَّرَ لَكُمُ ٱلۡبَحۡرَ لِتَجۡرِيَ ٱلۡفُلۡكُ فِيهِ بِأَمۡرِهِۦ وَلِتَبۡتَغُواْ مِن فَضۡلِهِۦ وَلَعَلَّكُمۡ تَشۡكُرُونَ

12.It is Allah Who has subjected to you the sea that the ships may run on it by His Command, and that you may seek [21] His Bounty, and that you may be grateful.

Surah Name : Al-Jathiyah   Surah Number : 45   Ayat Number: 12

Ayah 33

إِن يَشَأۡ يُسۡكِنِ ٱلرِّيحَ فَيَظۡلَلۡنَ رَوَاكِدَ عَلَىٰ ظَهۡرِهِۦٓۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَٰتٖ لِّكُلِّ صَبَّارٖ شَكُورٍ

33. If Allah Pleases, He may cause the wind to become still so that they (ships) stand still on its back(96). Surely, therein are signs for everyone who is most steadfast and grateful (97).
