Ayah 167

وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّبَعُواْ لَوۡ أَنَّ لَنَا كَرَّةٗ فَنَتَبَرَّأَ مِنۡهُمۡ كَمَا تَبَرَّءُواْ مِنَّاۗ كَذَٰلِكَ يُرِيهِمُ ٱللَّهُ أَعۡمَٰلَهُمۡ حَسَرَٰتٍ عَلَيۡهِمۡۖ وَمَا هُم بِخَٰرِجِينَ مِنَ ٱلنَّارِ

167. And the followers will say: Alas! If we had another turn (at worldly life) [354], we would disassociate ourselves from them as they have disassociated themselves from us. Thus, Allah will show them their (evil) deeds as a source of deep anguish [355] to them. And they are never to emerge from the (blazing) fire [356].

Surah Name : Al-Baqarah   Surah Number : 2   Ayat Number: 167

Ayah 179

وَلَكُمۡ فِي ٱلۡقِصَاصِ حَيَوٰةٞ يَـٰٓأُوْلِي ٱلۡأَلۡبَٰبِ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَتَّقُونَ

179. And there is life for you in retaliating [392] for blood, O people of understanding. So that you may become pious.

Ayah 243

۞أَلَمۡ تَرَ إِلَى ٱلَّذِينَ خَرَجُواْ مِن دِيَٰرِهِمۡ وَهُمۡ أُلُوفٌ حَذَرَ ٱلۡمَوۡتِ فَقَالَ لَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ مُوتُواْ ثُمَّ أَحۡيَٰهُمۡۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَذُو فَضۡلٍ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكۡثَرَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَا يَشۡكُرُونَ

243.(O Beloved Prophet) Did you not observe those who went out of their homes [600] in their thousands, for fear of death [601]? Then Allah said to them, "Die!" [602] Then He brought them back to life. Surely, Allah is Most Gracious to people [603], but most of the people are ungrateful.

Surah Name : Al-Baqarah   Surah Number : 2   Ayat Number: 243

Ayah 258

أَلَمۡ تَرَ إِلَى ٱلَّذِي حَآجَّ إِبۡرَٰهِـۧمَ فِي رَبِّهِۦٓ أَنۡ ءَاتَىٰهُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡمُلۡكَ إِذۡ قَالَ إِبۡرَٰهِـۧمُ رَبِّيَ ٱلَّذِي يُحۡيِۦ وَيُمِيتُ قَالَ أَنَا۠ أُحۡيِۦ وَأُمِيتُۖ قَالَ إِبۡرَٰهِـۧمُ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَأۡتِي بِٱلشَّمۡسِ مِنَ ٱلۡمَشۡرِقِ فَأۡتِ بِهَا مِنَ ٱلۡمَغۡرِبِ فَبُهِتَ ٱلَّذِي كَفَرَۗ وَٱللَّهُ لَا يَهۡدِي ٱلۡقَوۡمَ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ

258. (O Beloved Prophet) Did you not see the one who argued [665] with Ibrahim about his Lord, merely because Allah had granted him kingship? When Ibrahim said: "My Lord is the One who gives life and causes death," he (Namrood) replied: "I give life and cause death" [666]. Ibrahim said: "Indeed, Allah brings the sun from the east [667]; so bring it from the west." Then the disbeliever was confounded [668]. And Allah does not guide the unjust people.

Surah Name : Al-Baqarah   Surah Number : 2   Ayat Number: 258

Ayah 259

أَوۡ كَٱلَّذِي مَرَّ عَلَىٰ قَرۡيَةٖ وَهِيَ خَاوِيَةٌ عَلَىٰ عُرُوشِهَا قَالَ أَنَّىٰ يُحۡيِۦ هَٰذِهِ ٱللَّهُ بَعۡدَ مَوۡتِهَاۖ فَأَمَاتَهُ ٱللَّهُ مِاْئَةَ عَامٖ ثُمَّ بَعَثَهُۥۖ قَالَ كَمۡ لَبِثۡتَۖ قَالَ لَبِثۡتُ يَوۡمًا أَوۡ بَعۡضَ يَوۡمٖۖ قَالَ بَل لَّبِثۡتَ مِاْئَةَ عَامٖ فَٱنظُرۡ إِلَىٰ طَعَامِكَ وَشَرَابِكَ لَمۡ يَتَسَنَّهۡۖ وَٱنظُرۡ إِلَىٰ حِمَارِكَ وَلِنَجۡعَلَكَ ءَايَةٗ لِّلنَّاسِۖ وَٱنظُرۡ إِلَى ٱلۡعِظَامِ كَيۡفَ نُنشِزُهَا ثُمَّ نَكۡسُوهَا لَحۡمٗاۚ فَلَمَّا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُۥ قَالَ أَعۡلَمُ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ قَدِيرٞ

259.Or like the one who passed by a town [669] (prophet Uzair) which had fallen into ruins. He said: "How will Allah bring this to life [670] after its death?" So Allah caused him to die for a hundred years [671], then He revived him. He said: "How long have you stayed here?" He replied: "I've remained a full day or part of it." Allah said: "No, you stayed for a hundred years [672]. Look at your food and your drink; they have not changed with time. Yet, look at your donkey, whose bones are not safe [673]. And We will make you a sign for mankind. Look at the bones [674] how We raise them, and then cover them with flesh." When this matter became clear to him, he said: "I know very well [675] that Allah has power over all things [676]."

Surah Name : Al-Baqarah   Surah Number : 2   Ayat Number: 259

Ayah 260

وَإِذۡ قَالَ إِبۡرَٰهِـۧمُ رَبِّ أَرِنِي كَيۡفَ تُحۡيِ ٱلۡمَوۡتَىٰۖ قَالَ أَوَلَمۡ تُؤۡمِنۖ قَالَ بَلَىٰ وَلَٰكِن لِّيَطۡمَئِنَّ قَلۡبِيۖ قَالَ فَخُذۡ أَرۡبَعَةٗ مِّنَ ٱلطَّيۡرِ فَصُرۡهُنَّ إِلَيۡكَ ثُمَّ ٱجۡعَلۡ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ جَبَلٖ مِّنۡهُنَّ جُزۡءٗا ثُمَّ ٱدۡعُهُنَّ يَأۡتِينَكَ سَعۡيٗاۚ وَٱعۡلَمۡ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٞ

260.And when Ebrahim [677] said: "O my Lord! Show me how You give life to the dead." He (Allah) said: "Do you not believe so?" He said: "Yes, but I like that my heart may be satisfied" [678]. He said: "Take four birds and make them familiar [679] to you. Then put a part of each of them (their flesh) on every hilltop. Thereafter call them [680]. They will come to you in haste [681]. And know that Allah is All-Powerful, All-Wise [682]."

Surah Name : Al-Baqarah   Surah Number : 2   Ayat Number: 260

Ayah 2

ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَ ٱلۡمَوۡتَ وَٱلۡحَيَوٰةَ لِيَبۡلُوَكُمۡ أَيُّكُمۡ أَحۡسَنُ عَمَلٗاۚ وَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلۡغَفُورُ

2. He is the One Who created [5] death and life to test [6] which of you is best in deeds. And He is the Almighty, the Most Forgiving [7].

Surah Name : Al-Mulk   Surah Number : 67   Ayat Number: 2

Ayah 28

وَٱصۡبِرۡ نَفۡسَكَ مَعَ ٱلَّذِينَ يَدۡعُونَ رَبَّهُم بِٱلۡغَدَوٰةِ وَٱلۡعَشِيِّ يُرِيدُونَ وَجۡهَهُۥۖ وَلَا تَعۡدُ عَيۡنَاكَ عَنۡهُمۡ تُرِيدُ زِينَةَ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡيَاۖ وَلَا تُطِعۡ مَنۡ أَغۡفَلۡنَا قَلۡبَهُۥ عَن ذِكۡرِنَا وَٱتَّبَعَ هَوَىٰهُ وَكَانَ أَمۡرُهُۥ فُرُطٗا

28. And keep yourself patient with those who call upon their Lord morning and evening, seeking His pleasure. [64] And do not let your eyes overlook them, desiring the adornment of the worldly life. [65] And do not obey him whose heart We have made neglectful of Our remembrance, who follows his own desire, [66] and whose affair has exceeded the limits.

Surah Name : Al-Kahf   Surah Number : 18   Ayat Number: 28

Ayah 45

وَٱضۡرِبۡ لَهُم مَّثَلَ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡيَا كَمَآءٍ أَنزَلۡنَٰهُ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَٱخۡتَلَطَ بِهِۦ نَبَاتُ ٱلۡأَرۡضِ فَأَصۡبَحَ هَشِيمٗا تَذۡرُوهُ ٱلرِّيَٰحُۗ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ مُّقۡتَدِرًا

45. And relate to them the example of the life of the world: it is like water We sent down [104] from the heaven, then the greenery of the earth because of it came out thickly, and then it became dry grass which the wind scatters. And Allah is powerful [105] over everything [106].

Surah Name : Al-Kahf   Surah Number : 18   Ayat Number: 45

Ayah 46

ٱلۡمَالُ وَٱلۡبَنُونَ زِينَةُ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡيَاۖ وَٱلۡبَٰقِيَٰتُ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَٰتُ خَيۡرٌ عِندَ رَبِّكَ ثَوَابٗا وَخَيۡرٌ أَمَلٗا

46. The wealth and sons are an adornment [107] of the life of this world, and the lasting good deeds [108] are better with your Lord in reward and best in hope.

Surah Name : Al-Kahf   Surah Number : 18   Ayat Number: 46

Ayah 104

ٱلَّذِينَ ضَلَّ سَعۡيُهُمۡ فِي ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡيَا وَهُمۡ يَحۡسَبُونَ أَنَّهُمۡ يُحۡسِنُونَ صُنۡعًا

104. Those whose efforts have been wasted in this worldly life, while they think that they are doing good work [228].

Surah Name : Al-Kahf   Surah Number : 18   Ayat Number: 104

Ayah 44

بَلۡ مَتَّعۡنَا هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ وَءَابَآءَهُمۡ حَتَّىٰ طَالَ عَلَيۡهِمُ ٱلۡعُمُرُۗ أَفَلَا يَرَوۡنَ أَنَّا نَأۡتِي ٱلۡأَرۡضَ نَنقُصُهَا مِنۡ أَطۡرَافِهَآۚ أَفَهُمُ ٱلۡغَٰلِبُونَ

44. Nay, We allowed them and their fathers to carry on, until their life grew long [70] upon them. Do they then not observe that We are coming gradually reducing the land from its outlying borders? [71] Will they then overcome?

Surah Name : Al-Anbiya   Surah Number : 21   Ayat Number: 44

Ayah 64

وَمَا هَٰذِهِ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنۡيَآ إِلَّا لَهۡوٞ وَلَعِبٞۚ وَإِنَّ ٱلدَّارَ ٱلۡأٓخِرَةَ لَهِيَ ٱلۡحَيَوَانُۚ لَوۡ كَانُواْ يَعۡلَمُونَ

64. And this worldly life is nothing but amusement and diversion [154]. But indeed, the Hereafter is the true life [155]. If only they knew!

Surah Name : Al-Ankabut   Surah Number : 29   Ayat Number: 64

Ayah 33

وَقَالَ ٱلۡمَلَأُ مِن قَوۡمِهِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ وَكَذَّبُواْ بِلِقَآءِ ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ وَأَتۡرَفۡنَٰهُمۡ فِي ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡيَا مَا هَٰذَآ إِلَّا بَشَرٞ مِّثۡلُكُمۡ يَأۡكُلُ مِمَّا تَأۡكُلُونَ مِنۡهُ وَيَشۡرَبُ مِمَّا تَشۡرَبُونَ

33. And the chiefs of those people who disbelieved [52] and belied the presence of the Hereafter and who We gave comfort in the life of the world and said, "He is not but a man [53] like you", he eats of what you eat and drinks what you drink (54).

Surah Name : Al-Muminun   Surah Number : 23   Ayat Number: 33

Ayah 37

إِنۡ هِيَ إِلَّا حَيَاتُنَا ٱلدُّنۡيَا نَمُوتُ وَنَحۡيَا وَمَا نَحۡنُ بِمَبۡعُوثِينَ

37. That is not but our life of this world that we die and we [58] live and we are not to be raised up [59].

Surah Name : Al-Muminun   Surah Number : 23   Ayat Number: 37

Ayah 80

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِي يُحۡيِۦ وَيُمِيتُ وَلَهُ ٱخۡتِلَٰفُ ٱلَّيۡلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِۚ أَفَلَا تَعۡقِلُونَ

80. And it is He who gives life and causes death [116] and for Him the alternation [117] of night and day. Do you not then understand?

Surah Name : Al-Muminun   Surah Number : 23   Ayat Number: 80

Ayah 85

قَالُواْ تَٱللَّهِ تَفۡتَؤُاْ تَذۡكُرُ يُوسُفَ حَتَّىٰ تَكُونَ حَرَضًا أَوۡ تَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡهَٰلِكِينَ

85. They said, "By Allah, you will continue to remember Yusuf until you approach the grave or pass away [181]."

Surah Name : Yusuf   Surah Number : 12   Ayat Number: 85

Ayah 24

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ ٱسۡتَجِيبُواْ لِلَّهِ وَلِلرَّسُولِ إِذَا دَعَاكُمۡ لِمَا يُحۡيِيكُمۡۖ وَٱعۡلَمُوٓاْ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَحُولُ بَيۡنَ ٱلۡمَرۡءِ وَقَلۡبِهِۦ وَأَنَّهُۥٓ إِلَيۡهِ تُحۡشَرُونَ

24. O believers! Respond to Allah and the Messenger [49] when he calls you to that which gives you life [50]. And know that Allah intervenes between a man and his heart [51], and that to Him you shall be gathered [52].

Surah Name : Al-Anfal   Surah Number : 8   Ayat Number: 24

Ayah 26

ٱللَّهُ يَبۡسُطُ ٱلرِّزۡقَ لِمَن يَشَآءُ وَيَقۡدِرُۚ وَفَرِحُواْ بِٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡيَا وَمَا ٱلۡحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنۡيَا فِي ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ إِلَّا مَتَٰعٞ

26. Allah extends the provision for whom He wills and restricts. And they rejoice in the life of this world [75], but the life of this world is nothing in comparison to the Hereafter except a brief enjoyment [76].

Surah Name : Ar-Rad   Surah Number : 13   Ayat Number: 26

Ayah 34

لَّهُمۡ عَذَابٞ فِي ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡيَاۖ وَلَعَذَابُ ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ أَشَقُّۖ وَمَا لَهُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ مِن وَاقٖ

34. They shall have a punishment[96], in the life of this world. And the punishment of the Hereafter is more severe. And they have none to defend them from Allah [97].
