Ayah 103

ثُمَّ بَعَثۡنَا مِنۢ بَعۡدِهِم مُّوسَىٰ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ إِلَىٰ فِرۡعَوۡنَ وَمَلَإِيْهِۦ فَظَلَمُواْ بِهَاۖ فَٱنظُرۡ كَيۡفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلۡمُفۡسِدِينَ

103. Then after them, We sent Musa towards Firaun and his chiefs with Our signs [240], but they did injustice to these signs. See how was the end of these mischief-mongers.

Ayah 104

وَقَالَ مُوسَىٰ يَٰفِرۡعَوۡنُ إِنِّي رَسُولٞ مِّن رَّبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ

104. And Musa said: "O Firaun! I am the Messenger from the Lord of the Worlds" [241].

Ayah 105

حَقِيقٌ عَلَىٰٓ أَن لَّآ أَقُولَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ إِلَّا ٱلۡحَقَّۚ قَدۡ جِئۡتُكُم بِبَيِّنَةٖ مِّن رَّبِّكُمۡ فَأَرۡسِلۡ مَعِيَ بَنِيٓ إِسۡرَـٰٓءِيلَ

105."It is my duty not to say anything about Allah, but the truth [242]. I have come to you all with signs from your Lord. Then let the children of Israel go with me" [243].

Ayah 106

قَالَ إِن كُنتَ جِئۡتَ بِـَٔايَةٖ فَأۡتِ بِهَآ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ

106. He said: "If you have come with any sign, then produce it, if you are truthful."

Ayah 107

فَأَلۡقَىٰ عَصَاهُ فَإِذَا هِيَ ثُعۡبَانٞ مُّبِينٞ

107. Then Musa cast his staff, and it immediately became a clear serpent [244].

Ayah 108

وَنَزَعَ يَدَهُۥ فَإِذَا هِيَ بَيۡضَآءُ لِلنَّـٰظِرِينَ

108. And he drew forth his hand from his collar, and it appeared white to the onlookers [245].

Ayah 109

قَالَ ٱلۡمَلَأُ مِن قَوۡمِ فِرۡعَوۡنَ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَسَٰحِرٌ عَلِيمٞ

109.The chiefs of the people of Firaun said: "Indeed, this is a skilled magician" [246].

Ayah 110

يُرِيدُ أَن يُخۡرِجَكُم مِّنۡ أَرۡضِكُمۡۖ فَمَاذَا تَأۡمُرُونَ

110. He (Musa) wants to expel you from your land. What do you command?

Ayah 111

قَالُوٓاْ أَرۡجِهۡ وَأَخَاهُ وَأَرۡسِلۡ فِي ٱلۡمَدَآئِنِ حَٰشِرِينَ

111. They said: "Delay him and his brother, and send into the cities gatherers [247]."

Ayah 112

يَأۡتُوكَ بِكُلِّ سَٰحِرٍ عَلِيمٖ

112. To bring you every skilled magician [248].

Ayah 113

وَجَآءَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ فِرۡعَوۡنَ قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّ لَنَا لَأَجۡرًا إِن كُنَّا نَحۡنُ ٱلۡغَٰلِبِينَ

113. And the magicians came to Firaun and said: "Indeed, we shall have a reward if we are the victors" [249].

Ayah 114

قَالَ نَعَمۡ وَإِنَّكُمۡ لَمِنَ ٱلۡمُقَرَّبِينَ

114. Firaun said: "Yes, and indeed, you shall be among those who are near [248]."

Ayah 115

قَالُواْ يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ إِمَّآ أَن تُلۡقِيَ وَإِمَّآ أَن نَّكُونَ نَحۡنُ ٱلۡمُلۡقِينَ

115. They said: "O Musa! Will you throw first, or shall we be the first to cast?"

Ayah 116

قَالَ أَلۡقُواْۖ فَلَمَّآ أَلۡقَوۡاْ سَحَرُوٓاْ أَعۡيُنَ ٱلنَّاسِ وَٱسۡتَرۡهَبُوهُمۡ وَجَآءُو بِسِحۡرٍ عَظِيمٖ

116. Musa said: "You throw." When they threw, they enchanted the eyes of the people and frightened them, and they brought forth a great magic.

Ayah 117

۞وَأَوۡحَيۡنَآ إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنۡ أَلۡقِ عَصَاكَۖ فَإِذَا هِيَ تَلۡقَفُ مَا يَأۡفِكُونَ

117. And We revealed to Musa: "Throw your staff." Then it began to swallow their falsehoods.

Ayah 118

فَوَقَعَ ٱلۡحَقُّ وَبَطَلَ مَا كَانُواْ يَعۡمَلُونَ

118. Then the truth was established, and what they had done was rendered void [253].

Ayah 119

فَغُلِبُواْ هُنَالِكَ وَٱنقَلَبُواْ صَٰغِرِينَ

119. Then they were defeated there and returned in disgrace.

Ayah 120

وَأُلۡقِيَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ سَٰجِدِينَ

120. And the magicians fell down prostrate [254].

قَالُوٓاْ ءَامَنَّا بِرَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ

121. They said: "We believe in the Lord of the Worlds".

رَبِّ مُوسَىٰ وَهَٰرُونَ

122."Who is the Lord of Musa and Harun" [255].
