Verset 41 sur 165

بَلۡ إِيَّاهُ تَدۡعُونَ فَيَكۡشِفُ مَا تَدۡعُونَ إِلَيۡهِ إِن شَآءَ وَتَنسَوۡنَ مَا تُشۡرِكُونَ

Bal iyyaahu tad'oona fa yakshifu maa tad'oona ilaihi in shaaa'a wa tansawna maa tushrikoon
41. C’est bien Lui Seul que vous invoquez. Alors, s’Il veut, Il vous débarrassera du (mal) pour lequel vous L’avez invoqué et vous oublierez ce que vous Lui donniez comme associés.

Verset 42 sur 165

وَلَقَدۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَآ إِلَىٰٓ أُمَمٖ مِّن قَبۡلِكَ فَأَخَذۡنَٰهُم بِٱلۡبَأۡسَآءِ وَٱلضَّرَّآءِ لَعَلَّهُمۡ يَتَضَرَّعُونَ

Wa laqad arsalnaaa ilaaa umamim min qablika fa akhaznaahum bil ba'saaa'i waddarraaa'i la'allahum yata darra'oon
42. Nous avons déjà envoyé des Messagers à d’autres peuples avant toi. Nous les avons frappés de disgrâce et de détresse, peut-être viendront-ils (Nous) implorer humblement.

Verset 43 sur 165

فَلَوۡلَآ إِذۡ جَآءَهُم بَأۡسُنَا تَضَرَّعُواْ وَلَٰكِن قَسَتۡ قُلُوبُهُمۡ وَزَيَّنَ لَهُمُ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنُ مَا كَانُواْ يَعۡمَلُونَ

Falaw laaa iz jaaa'ahum ba'sunaa tadarra'oo wa laakin qasat quloobuhum wa zaiyana lahumush Shaitaanu maa kaanoo ya'maloon
43. Si seulement ils avaient imploré humblement lorsqu’ils connurent Notre rigueur ! Mais ils avaient le cœur dur et Satan embellissait les actes qu’ils commettaient.

Verset 44 sur 165

فَلَمَّا نَسُواْ مَا ذُكِّرُواْ بِهِۦ فَتَحۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ أَبۡوَٰبَ كُلِّ شَيۡءٍ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا فَرِحُواْ بِمَآ أُوتُوٓاْ أَخَذۡنَٰهُم بَغۡتَةٗ فَإِذَا هُم مُّبۡلِسُونَ

Falammaa nasoo maa zukkiroo bihee fatahnaa 'alaihim abwaaba kulli shai'in hattaaa izaa farihoo bimaaa ootooo akhaznaahum baghtatan fa izaa hum mublisoon
44. Aussitôt qu’ils eurent oublié ce qui leur avait été rappelé, Nous ouvrîmes devant eux les portes de toute chose, jusqu’à ce que, les voyant se réjouir de ce qui leur avait été donné, Nous Nous saisîmes d’eux brusquement, les laissant consternés.

Verset 45 sur 165

فَقُطِعَ دَابِرُ ٱلۡقَوۡمِ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْۚ وَٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ

Faquti'a daabirul qawmil lazeena zalamoo; walhamdu lillaahi Rabbil 'aalameen
45. Ainsi furent anéantis, jusqu’au dernier, les injustes. Louanges à Allah, Seigneur de l’Univers !

Verset 46 sur 165

قُلۡ أَرَءَيۡتُمۡ إِنۡ أَخَذَ ٱللَّهُ سَمۡعَكُمۡ وَأَبۡصَٰرَكُمۡ وَخَتَمَ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِكُم مَّنۡ إِلَٰهٌ غَيۡرُ ٱللَّهِ يَأۡتِيكُم بِهِۗ ٱنظُرۡ كَيۡفَ نُصَرِّفُ ٱلۡأٓيَٰتِ ثُمَّ هُمۡ يَصۡدِفُونَ

Qul ara'aitum in akhazal laahu sam'akum wa absaarakum wa khatama 'alaa quloobikum man ilaahun ghairul laahi ya'teekum bih; unzur kaifa nusarriful Aayaati summa hum yasdifoon
46. Dis : « Que diriez-vous donc si Allah prenait votre ouïe et votre vue, et scellait vos cœurs ? Quelle autre divinité que Lui les ferait revenir ? » Vois comment Nous varions les Signes et comment eux s’en détournent.

Verset 47 sur 165

قُلۡ أَرَءَيۡتَكُمۡ إِنۡ أَتَىٰكُمۡ عَذَابُ ٱللَّهِ بَغۡتَةً أَوۡ جَهۡرَةً هَلۡ يُهۡلَكُ إِلَّا ٱلۡقَوۡمُ ٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَ

Qul ara'aitakum in ataakum 'azaabul laahi baghtatan aw jahratan hal yuhlaku illal qawmuz zaalimoon
47. Dis : « Et que diriez-vous encore si le supplice d’Allah vous venait brusquement ou ouvertement ? Qui donc serait anéanti sinon les gens injustes ? »

Verset 48 sur 165

وَمَا نُرۡسِلُ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ إِلَّا مُبَشِّرِينَ وَمُنذِرِينَۖ فَمَنۡ ءَامَنَ وَأَصۡلَحَ فَلَا خَوۡفٌ عَلَيۡهِمۡ وَلَا هُمۡ يَحۡزَنُونَ

Wa maa nursilul mursaleena illaa mubashshireena wa munzireena faman aamana wa aslaha falaa khawfun 'alaihim wa laa hum yahzanoon
48. Nous n’envoyons de Messagers que pour annoncer et avertir. Alors, ceux qui croient et font œuvre de bien, il n’y aura nulle crainte pour eux, et ils n’auront aucune affliction.

Verset 49 sur 165

وَٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُواْ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا يَمَسُّهُمُ ٱلۡعَذَابُ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَفۡسُقُونَ

Wallazeena kazzaboo bi Aayaatinaa yamassuhumul 'azaabu bimaa kaanoo yafsuqoon
49. Et ceux qui ont taxé Nos Signes de mensonges, le supplice les atteindra, car ils étaient pervers.

Verset 50 sur 165

قُل لَّآ أَقُولُ لَكُمۡ عِندِي خَزَآئِنُ ٱللَّهِ وَلَآ أَعۡلَمُ ٱلۡغَيۡبَ وَلَآ أَقُولُ لَكُمۡ إِنِّي مَلَكٌۖ إِنۡ أَتَّبِعُ إِلَّا مَا يُوحَىٰٓ إِلَيَّۚ قُلۡ هَلۡ يَسۡتَوِي ٱلۡأَعۡمَىٰ وَٱلۡبَصِيرُۚ أَفَلَا تَتَفَكَّرُونَ

Qul laaa aqoolu lakum 'indee khazaaa'inul laahi wa laaa a'lamul ghaiba wa laaa aqoolu lakum innee malakun in attabi'u illaa maa yoohaaa ilaiy; qul hal yastawil a'maa walbaseer; afalaa tatafakkaroon
50. Dis : « Je ne vous dis pas que je détiens les trésors d’Allah, ni que je connais l’Inconnaissable (ghayb). Je ne vous dis pas, non plus, que je suis un Ange. Je ne fais que suivre ce qui m’est révélé. » Ajoute : « L’aveugle et le voyant[170] se valent-ils ? Pourquoi n’essayez-vous pas d’y réfléchir ? »

Tawhid is highly emphasized in this Surah. It contains the basic principles of Tawhid. It provides beautiful descriptions of Allah's creative power. It criticizes Shirk and its manifestations.
