Surah Ar-Rad

English Translation, Transliteration, Tafsir - Ayat [31-40]

Ayah 31 of 43

Wa law anna Quraanan suyyirat bihil jibaalu aw qutti'at bihil ardu aw kullima bihil mawtaa; bal lillaahil amru jamee'aa; afalam yai'asil lazeena aamanooo al law yashaaa 'ullaahu lahadan naasa jamee'aa; wa laa yazaalul lazeena kafaroo tuseebuhum bimaa sana'oo qaari'atun aw tahullu qareebam min daarihim hatta ya'tiya wa'dul laah; innal laaha laa yukhliful mee'aad
31. If there had been a Qur'an by which mountains could be moved or the earth could be cut asunder or the dead could be spoken to, even then the disbelievers [85] would not have believed. But the entire affair is in the authority of Allah. Did not those who believe become disheartened that if Allah had willed, He would have guided [86] all the people? And calamities will continue to strike [87] the disbelievers for what they have done, or it will alight near their homes [88] until Allah's promise comes [89]. Indeed, Allah does not fail in His promise.
Ayah 32 of 43

Wa laqadis tuhzi'a bi Rusulim min qablika fa amlaitu lillazeena kafaroo summa akhaztuhum fakaifa kaana 'iqaab
32. And surely, the messengers before you were mocked at. Then I gave respite to the disbelievers for a time, then I seized them [90]. Then how was My punishment?
Ayah 33 of 43

Afaman Huwa qaaa'imun 'alaa kulli nafsim bimaa kasabat; wa ja'aloo lillaahi shurakaaa'a qul samoohum; am tunabbi'oona hoo bimaa laa ya'lamu fil ardi; am bizaahirim minal qawl; bal zuyyina lillazeena kafaroo makruhum wa suddoo 'anis sabeel; wa mai yudlilil laahu famaa lahoo min haad;
33. Is then he who watches over every soul for what it has earned [91]? And yet they ascribe to Allah associates [92]. Say, "Name them!" Or do you inform Him of what is not in His knowledge in the earth [93] or with an apparent saying? Rather, their deception has been made to look good in the eyes of the disbelievers [94], and they have been hindered from the way. And he whom Allah leads astray has no guide [95].
Ayah 34 of 43

34. They shall have a punishment[96], in the life of this world. And the punishment of the Hereafter is more severe. And they have none to defend them from Allah [97].
Ayah 35 of 43

Masalul Jannatil latee wu'idal muttaqoona tajree min tahtihal anhaaru ukuluhaa daaa'imunw wa zilluhaa; tilka uqbal lazeenat taqaw wa 'uqbal kafireenan Naar
35. The example of the Garden which the righteous have been promised [98], beneath which rivers flow. Its fruits are everlasting [99] and its shade [100]. This is the end of those who fear Allah, and the end of the disbelievers is the Fire [101].
Ayah 36 of 43

Wallazeena aatainaa humul Kitaaba yafrahoona bimaa unzila ilaika wa minal Ahzaabi mai yunkiru ba'dah; qul innamaa umirtu an a'budal laaha wa laaa ushrika bih; ilaihi ad'oo wa ilaihi maab
36. And those whom We have given the Book [102] rejoice at what has been sent to you [103]. Some who deny a part thereof [104]. Say, "I am only commanded [105] to worship Allah and not to ascribe associates to Him. To Him, I call. And to Him is my return."
Ayah 37 of 43

Wa kazaalika anzalnaahu hukman 'Arabiyyaa; wa la'init taba'ta ahwaaa 'ahum ba'da maa jaaa'aka minal 'ilmi maa laka minal laahi minw waliyinw wa laa waaq
37. And thus We have sent it down as a decision in Arabic [106]. And if you follow their desires after what has come to you of knowledge [107], then you shall have no supporter [108] nor defender against Allah.
Ayah 38 of 43

38. And We have certainly sent messengers before you [108], and We assigned to them wives and offspring [109]. And it was not for any messenger to bring a sign except by the permission of Allah [110]. For every term is a decree [111].
Ayah 39 of 43

Yamhul laahu maa yashaaa'u wa yusbitu wa 'indahooo ummul Kitaab
39. Allah erases [112] what He wills and affirms [113] what He wills, and with Him is the Mother of the Book [114].
Ayah 40 of 43

40. And whether We show you some of what We have promised them [113] or We cause you to die [114], then only the delivery of the message is upon you, and the reckoning is upon Us [115].
