Ayah 10

۞قَالَتۡ رُسُلُهُمۡ أَفِي ٱللَّهِ شَكّٞ فَاطِرِ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۖ يَدۡعُوكُمۡ لِيَغۡفِرَ لَكُم مِّن ذُنُوبِكُمۡ وَيُؤَخِّرَكُمۡ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٖ مُّسَمّٗىۚ قَالُوٓاْ إِنۡ أَنتُمۡ إِلَّا بَشَرٞ مِّثۡلُنَا تُرِيدُونَ أَن تَصُدُّونَا عَمَّا كَانَ يَعۡبُدُ ءَابَآؤُنَا فَأۡتُونَا بِسُلۡطَٰنٖ مُّبِينٖ

10. Their messengers said, “Is there any doubt about Allah [24], the Creator of the heavens and the earth [25]? He calls you to forgive you some of your sins [26] and to delay you for an appointed term. They said, ‘You are only human beings like us [27]. You want to turn us away from what our forefathers used to worship [28]. So bring us a clear proof [29].”

Surah Name : Ibrahim   Surah Number : 14   Ayat Number: 10

Ayah 17

يَتَجَرَّعُهُۥ وَلَا يَكَادُ يُسِيغُهُۥ وَيَأۡتِيهِ ٱلۡمَوۡتُ مِن كُلِّ مَكَانٖ وَمَا هُوَ بِمَيِّتٖۖ وَمِن وَرَآئِهِۦ عَذَابٌ غَلِيظٞ

17. He will sip it gradually with great difficulty, and he will scarcely be able to swallow it. Death will come to him from every direction, yet he will not die [41]. And behind him is a severe punishment.

Ayah 104

قُلۡ يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ إِن كُنتُمۡ فِي شَكّٖ مِّن دِينِي فَلَآ أَعۡبُدُ ٱلَّذِينَ تَعۡبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَلَٰكِنۡ أَعۡبُدُ ٱللَّهَ ٱلَّذِي يَتَوَفَّىٰكُمۡۖ وَأُمِرۡتُ أَنۡ أَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ

104. Say, "O people! If you are in doubt concerning my religion, then I do not worship those whom you worship besides Allah. Rather, I worship Allah, Who will cause you to die. And I have been commanded to be among the believers."

Surah Name : Yunus   Surah Number : 10   Ayat Number: 104

Ayah 7

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٖ وَكَانَ عَرۡشُهُۥ عَلَى ٱلۡمَآءِ لِيَبۡلُوَكُمۡ أَيُّكُمۡ أَحۡسَنُ عَمَلٗاۗ وَلَئِن قُلۡتَ إِنَّكُم مَّبۡعُوثُونَ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ ٱلۡمَوۡتِ لَيَقُولَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓاْ إِنۡ هَٰذَآ إِلَّا سِحۡرٞ مُّبِينٞ

7. And it is He Who created the heavens and the earth in six days [17], and His Throne was on the water, that He might test you as to which of you is best in deeds [18]. And if you say, 'Indeed, you shall be raised after death,' then those who disbelieve will surely say, 'This is nothing but clear magic [19].'

Surah Name : Hud   Surah Number : 11   Ayat Number: 7

Ayah 58

وَتَوَكَّلۡ عَلَى ٱلۡحَيِّ ٱلَّذِي لَا يَمُوتُ وَسَبِّحۡ بِحَمۡدِهِۦۚ وَكَفَىٰ بِهِۦ بِذُنُوبِ عِبَادِهِۦ خَبِيرًا

58. And rely upon the Ever-Living who does not die [104], and glorify Him with praise. And Sufficient is He as One Aware of the sins of His servants.

Surah Name : Al-Furqan   Surah Number : 25   Ayat Number: 58

Ayah 14

لَّا تَدۡعُواْ ٱلۡيَوۡمَ ثُبُورٗا وَٰحِدٗا وَٱدۡعُواْ ثُبُورٗا كَثِيرٗا

14. It will be said, 'Do not request just one death today; rather, request many deaths' [26].

Ayah 13

وَإِذَآ أُلۡقُواْ مِنۡهَا مَكَانٗا ضَيِّقٗا مُّقَرَّنِينَ دَعَوۡاْ هُنَالِكَ ثُبُورٗا

13. And when they are thrown into a confined space, bound with chains, they will there seek death [25].

Ayah 3

وَٱتَّخَذُواْ مِن دُونِهِۦٓ ءَالِهَةٗ لَّا يَخۡلُقُونَ شَيۡـٔٗا وَهُمۡ يُخۡلَقُونَ وَلَا يَمۡلِكُونَ لِأَنفُسِهِمۡ ضَرّٗا وَلَا نَفۡعٗا وَلَا يَمۡلِكُونَ مَوۡتٗا وَلَا حَيَوٰةٗ وَلَا نُشُورٗا

3.And the people have taken other gods besides Him. They created nothing and they themselves have been created [7], and they themselves are not the owners [8] of their own souls either for bad or for good, and neither do they have the power to die nor to be alive nor to rise up [9].

Ayah 11

۞قُلۡ يَتَوَفَّىٰكُم مَّلَكُ ٱلۡمَوۡتِ ٱلَّذِي وُكِّلَ بِكُمۡ ثُمَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكُمۡ تُرۡجَعُونَ

11.Please declare: "The angel [21] of death who has been appointed [22] over you causes you to die, then you shall be returned (23) to your Lord.

Ayah 44

وَأَنَّهُۥ هُوَ أَمَاتَ وَأَحۡيَا

44.And that it is surely He Who gives death and causes [55] life.

Ayah 77

فَٱصۡبِرۡ إِنَّ وَعۡدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقّٞۚ فَإِمَّا نُرِيَنَّكَ بَعۡضَ ٱلَّذِي نَعِدُهُمۡ أَوۡ نَتَوَفَّيَنَّكَ فَإِلَيۡنَا يُرۡجَعُونَ

77. So you should be patient [194] Surely, the promise of Allah is true. Then whether We let you see something of what We have promised them or should We cause you to die before (195.) In any case, they are to return to Us.

Surah Name : Ghafir   Surah Number : 40   Ayat Number: 77

Ayah 11

قَالُواْ رَبَّنَآ أَمَتَّنَا ٱثۡنَتَيۡنِ وَأَحۡيَيۡتَنَا ٱثۡنَتَيۡنِ فَٱعۡتَرَفۡنَا بِذُنُوبِنَا فَهَلۡ إِلَىٰ خُرُوجٖ مِّن سَبِيلٖ

11.They shall say: "O our Lord, You have caused us to die twice and have given us life [30] twice. Now, we confess our sins. Is there then any way( 31) of getting out (of the fire)?"

Ayah 8

قُلۡ إِنَّ ٱلۡمَوۡتَ ٱلَّذِي تَفِرُّونَ مِنۡهُ فَإِنَّهُۥ مُلَٰقِيكُمۡۖ ثُمَّ تُرَدُّونَ إِلَىٰ عَٰلِمِ ٱلۡغَيۡبِ وَٱلشَّهَٰدَةِ فَيُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ

8. Please declare: "The death from which you flee will surely overtake [21] you. Then you shall be sent back to the Knower of the unseen and the seen, and He will inform you of what you did [22]."

Surah Name : Al-Jumuah   Surah Number : 62   Ayat Number: 8

Ayah 6

قُلۡ يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ هَادُوٓاْ إِن زَعَمۡتُمۡ أَنَّكُمۡ أَوۡلِيَآءُ لِلَّهِ مِن دُونِ ٱلنَّاسِ فَتَمَنَّوُاْ ٱلۡمَوۡتَ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَٰدِقِينَ

6. Please declare O Jews, if you assert that you are the favorites of Allah to the exclusion [16] of the rest of mankind, then wish for death [17], if you are truthful [18].

Surah Name : Al-Jumuah   Surah Number : 62   Ayat Number: 6

Ayah 10

وَأَنفِقُواْ مِن مَّا رَزَقۡنَٰكُم مِّن قَبۡلِ أَن يَأۡتِيَ أَحَدَكُمُ ٱلۡمَوۡتُ فَيَقُولَ رَبِّ لَوۡلَآ أَخَّرۡتَنِيٓ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٖ قَرِيبٖ فَأَصَّدَّقَ وَأَكُن مِّنَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ

10.And spend [30] from what We have provided you before death [31] comes to any of you, and he says, "My Lord, if You would delay me for a little while [32], I would give in charity and be among the righteous [33]."

Surah Name : Al-Munafiqun   Surah Number : 63   Ayat Number: 10

Ayah 14

فَلَمَّا قَضَيۡنَا عَلَيۡهِ ٱلۡمَوۡتَ مَا دَلَّهُمۡ عَلَىٰ مَوۡتِهِۦٓ إِلَّا دَآبَّةُ ٱلۡأَرۡضِ تَأۡكُلُ مِنسَأَتَهُۥۖ فَلَمَّا خَرَّ تَبَيَّنَتِ ٱلۡجِنُّ أَن لَّوۡ كَانُواْ يَعۡلَمُونَ ٱلۡغَيۡبَ مَا لَبِثُواْ فِي ٱلۡعَذَابِ ٱلۡمُهِينِ

14.Then when We decreed[46] death for him (Sulaiman), We did not inform the jinns about his death, except the(47) termites of the earth that used to eat his staff. So when he came down on earth, the reality was known by the jinns. If they had known the unseen(48), they would not have been in this degrading (49)punishment.

Surah Name : Saba   Surah Number : 34   Ayat Number: 14

Ayah 99

وَٱعۡبُدۡ رَبَّكَ حَتَّىٰ يَأۡتِيَكَ ٱلۡيَقِينُ

99. And worship your Lord until certainty comes to you [109].

Surah Name : Al-Hijr   Surah Number : 15   Ayat Number: 99

Ayah 23

وَإِنَّا لَنَحۡنُ نُحۡيِۦ وَنُمِيتُ وَنَحۡنُ ٱلۡوَٰرِثُونَ

23. And indeed, it is We who give life and cause death, and We are the inheritors [30].

Surah Name : Al-Hijr   Surah Number : 15   Ayat Number: 23

Ayah 47

حَتَّىٰٓ أَتَىٰنَا ٱلۡيَقِينُ

47."Till death [42] overtook us."

Surah Name : Al-Muddaththir   Surah Number : 74   Ayat Number: 47

Ayah 60

نَحۡنُ قَدَّرۡنَا بَيۡنَكُمُ ٱلۡمَوۡتَ وَمَا نَحۡنُ بِمَسۡبُوقِينَ

60.We have fixed death [54] in your constitution and We cannot be outstripped [55].
