Ayah 40

مَّا كَانَ مُحَمَّدٌ أَبَآ أَحَدٖ مِّن رِّجَالِكُمۡ وَلَٰكِن رَّسُولَ ٱللَّهِ وَخَاتَمَ ٱلنَّبِيِّـۧنَۗ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيۡءٍ عَلِيمٗا

40.Muhammad [110] is not the father [111] of any of your men. But He is the Messenger (112) of Allah, and the last of the Prophets. And Allah knows (113) of all things.

Surah Name : Al-Ahzab   Surah Number : 33   Ayat Number: 40

Ayah 69

إِنَّهُمۡ أَلۡفَوۡاْ ءَابَآءَهُمۡ ضَآلِّينَ

69. Surely they found their fathers on the wrong path.

Ayah 85

إِذۡ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوۡمِهِۦ مَاذَا تَعۡبُدُونَ

85. When he said [85] to his father and his people: "Whom do you worship?"

Ayah 102

فَلَمَّا بَلَغَ مَعَهُ ٱلسَّعۡيَ قَالَ يَٰبُنَيَّ إِنِّيٓ أَرَىٰ فِي ٱلۡمَنَامِ أَنِّيٓ أَذۡبَحُكَ فَٱنظُرۡ مَاذَا تَرَىٰۚ قَالَ يَـٰٓأَبَتِ ٱفۡعَلۡ مَا تُؤۡمَرُۖ سَتَجِدُنِيٓ إِن شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰبِرِينَ

102. Then when he became able [103] to work with him, he said: "O my son, I have seen in a dream that I am sacrificing you [104]. Now look, what is your opinion [105]?" He replied: "O my father, do as you are commanded [106]. Allah willing, you will find me steadfastly [107] firm

Surah Name : As-Saffat   Surah Number : 37   Ayat Number: 102

Ayah 23

وَلَمَّا وَرَدَ مَآءَ مَدۡيَنَ وَجَدَ عَلَيۡهِ أُمَّةٗ مِّنَ ٱلنَّاسِ يَسۡقُونَ وَوَجَدَ مِن دُونِهِمُ ٱمۡرَأَتَيۡنِ تَذُودَانِۖ قَالَ مَا خَطۡبُكُمَاۖ قَالَتَا لَا نَسۡقِي حَتَّىٰ يُصۡدِرَ ٱلرِّعَآءُۖ وَأَبُونَا شَيۡخٞ كَبِيرٞ

23. And when he came to the water of Midian, [57] he found there a crowd of people watering their animals, and he found, apart from them, two women [58] keeping back their flocks. He said, "What is the matter with you two?" They said, "We do not water until the shepherds take their flocks away. Our father is an old man." [59]

Surah Name : Al-Qasas   Surah Number : 28   Ayat Number: 23

Ayah 33

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ ٱتَّقُواْ رَبَّكُمۡ وَٱخۡشَوۡاْ يَوۡمٗا لَّا يَجۡزِي وَالِدٌ عَن وَلَدِهِۦ وَلَا مَوۡلُودٌ هُوَ جَازٍ عَن وَالِدِهِۦ شَيۡـًٔاۚ إِنَّ وَعۡدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقّٞۖ فَلَا تَغُرَّنَّكُمُ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنۡيَا وَلَا يَغُرَّنَّكُم بِٱللَّهِ ٱلۡغَرُورُ

33.0 people! Fear Allah [72], your Lord and have apprehension of the day when neither a father will be of any benefit to his son, nor any affectionate son will be able to provide and benefit [73] to his father. Indeed, the promise of Allah is true (74). Therefore, let not the life of this world deceive (75) you concerning Allah.

Surah Name : Luqman   Surah Number : 31   Ayat Number: 33

Ayah 91

وَمَا قَدَرُواْ ٱللَّهَ حَقَّ قَدۡرِهِۦٓ إِذۡ قَالُواْ مَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ بَشَرٖ مِّن شَيۡءٖۗ قُلۡ مَنۡ أَنزَلَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ ٱلَّذِي جَآءَ بِهِۦ مُوسَىٰ نُورٗا وَهُدٗى لِّلنَّاسِۖ تَجۡعَلُونَهُۥ قَرَاطِيسَ تُبۡدُونَهَا وَتُخۡفُونَ كَثِيرٗاۖ وَعُلِّمۡتُم مَّا لَمۡ تَعۡلَمُوٓاْ أَنتُمۡ وَلَآ ءَابَآؤُكُمۡۖ قُلِ ٱللَّهُۖ ثُمَّ ذَرۡهُمۡ فِي خَوۡضِهِمۡ يَلۡعَبُونَ

91. They claimed, "Allah has not revealed anything to any human." Say (to the Jews): "Who sent down the Book which Musa brought, a light and guidance for the people [186]? You have made it into separate sheets, showing some and concealing much [187]. You were taught what you did not know, nor did your fathers [189]." Say: "Allah [190]." Then leave them to play in their falsehood [191].

Surah Name : Al-Anam   Surah Number : 6   Ayat Number: 91

Ayah 87

وَمِنۡ ءَابَآئِهِمۡ وَذُرِّيَّـٰتِهِمۡ وَإِخۡوَٰنِهِمۡۖ وَٱجۡتَبَيۡنَٰهُمۡ وَهَدَيۡنَٰهُمۡ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطٖ مُّسۡتَقِيمٖ

87. And We excelled some of their fathers, their progeny [173], and some of their brothers, and We chose them and guided them to the Straight Path [174].

Ayah 74

۞وَإِذۡ قَالَ إِبۡرَٰهِيمُ لِأَبِيهِ ءَازَرَ أَتَتَّخِذُ أَصۡنَامًا ءَالِهَةً إِنِّيٓ أَرَىٰكَ وَقَوۡمَكَ فِي ضَلَٰلٖ مُّبِينٖ

74. And [remember] when Ibrahim said to his father [149], Azar, "Do you take the idols as gods? Indeed, I see you and your people in manifest error" [150].

Surah Name : Al-Anam   Surah Number : 6   Ayat Number: 74

Ayah 104

وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمۡ تَعَالَوۡاْ إِلَىٰ مَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ وَإِلَى ٱلرَّسُولِ قَالُواْ حَسۡبُنَا مَا وَجَدۡنَا عَلَيۡهِ ءَابَآءَنَآۚ أَوَلَوۡ كَانَ ءَابَآؤُهُمۡ لَا يَعۡلَمُونَ شَيۡـٔٗا وَلَا يَهۡتَدُونَ

104. And when it is said to them, "Come to what Allah has revealed and to the Messenger" [278], they say, "Sufficient for us is what we found our forefathers upon." What! Even if their forefathers knew nothing and were not guided [279]?

Surah Name : Al-Maidah   Surah Number : 5   Ayat Number: 104

Ayah 23

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ لَا تَتَّخِذُوٓاْ ءَابَآءَكُمۡ وَإِخۡوَٰنَكُمۡ أَوۡلِيَآءَ إِنِ ٱسۡتَحَبُّواْ ٱلۡكُفۡرَ عَلَى ٱلۡإِيمَٰنِۚ وَمَن يَتَوَلَّهُم مِّنكُمۡ فَأُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَ,

23. O believers! Take not your fathers and brothers over friends [48], if they prefer infidelity to faith. And whoso of you will befriend them, then they are the unjust [49].

Surah Name : At-Tawbah   Surah Number : 9   Ayat Number: 23

Ayah 24

قُلۡ إِن كَانَ ءَابَآؤُكُمۡ وَأَبۡنَآؤُكُمۡ وَإِخۡوَٰنُكُمۡ وَأَزۡوَٰجُكُمۡ وَعَشِيرَتُكُمۡ وَأَمۡوَٰلٌ ٱقۡتَرَفۡتُمُوهَا وَتِجَٰرَةٞ تَخۡشَوۡنَ كَسَادَهَا وَمَسَٰكِنُ تَرۡضَوۡنَهَآ أَحَبَّ إِلَيۡكُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦ وَجِهَادٖ فِي سَبِيلِهِۦ فَتَرَبَّصُواْ حَتَّىٰ يَأۡتِيَ ٱللَّهُ بِأَمۡرِهِۦۗ وَٱللَّهُ لَا يَهۡدِي ٱلۡقَوۡمَ ٱلۡفَٰسِقِينَ,

24. Please declare: "If your fathers and your sons and your brothers and your wives [50], and your clan [51], and the wealth of your earnings [52], and the trade of which you fear loss, and the houses of your choice, are things [53] dearer [54] to you than Allah and His Messenger, and the striving in His Path, then wait till Allah sends His Command. And Allah guides not the disobedient."

Surah Name : At-Tawbah   Surah Number : 9   Ayat Number: 24

Ayah 114

وَمَا كَانَ ٱسۡتِغۡفَارُ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ لِأَبِيهِ إِلَّا عَن مَّوۡعِدَةٖ وَعَدَهَآ إِيَّاهُ فَلَمَّا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُۥٓ أَنَّهُۥ عَدُوّٞ لِّلَّهِ تَبَرَّأَ مِنۡهُۚ إِنَّ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ لَأَوَّـٰهٌ حَلِيمٞ,

114. And the seeking of forgiveness by Ibrahim for his father was only due to a promise [319] he had made to him [320]. But when it became clear to him that he was an enemy [321] of Allah, he disassociated [322] himself from him. Indeed, Ibrahim was most tenderhearted and forbearing [323].

Surah Name : At-Tawbah   Surah Number : 9   Ayat Number: 114

Ayah 62

قَالُواْ يَٰصَٰلِحُ قَدۡ كُنتَ فِينَا مَرۡجُوّٗا قَبۡلَ هَٰذَآۖ أَتَنۡهَىٰنَآ أَن نَّعۡبُدَ مَا يَعۡبُدُ ءَابَآؤُنَا وَإِنَّنَا لَفِي شَكّٖ مِّمَّا تَدۡعُونَآ إِلَيۡهِ مُرِيبٖ

62. They said, "O Salih, you were considered an honorable figure among us before [132]. Do you now forbid us from worshiping [133] what our forefathers worshiped? Indeed, we are in serious doubt and confusion regarding what you are calling us to [134].".

Surah Name : Hud   Surah Number : 11   Ayat Number: 62

Ayah 78

وَجَٰهِدُواْ فِي ٱللَّهِ حَقَّ جِهَادِهِۦۚ هُوَ ٱجۡتَبَىٰكُمۡ وَمَا جَعَلَ عَلَيۡكُمۡ فِي ٱلدِّينِ مِنۡ حَرَجٖۚ مِّلَّةَ أَبِيكُمۡ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَۚ هُوَ سَمَّىٰكُمُ ٱلۡمُسۡلِمِينَ مِن قَبۡلُ وَفِي هَٰذَا لِيَكُونَ ٱلرَّسُولُ شَهِيدًا عَلَيۡكُمۡ وَتَكُونُواْ شُهَدَآءَ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِۚ فَأَقِيمُواْ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتُواْ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَٱعۡتَصِمُواْ بِٱللَّهِ هُوَ مَوۡلَىٰكُمۡۖ فَنِعۡمَ ٱلۡمَوۡلَىٰ وَنِعۡمَ ٱلنَّصِيرُ

78. And strive in the path of Allah as is fitting for striving [157]. He has chosen you and has not laid upon you any narrowness [159] in religion, the faith of your father Ibrahim. Allah has named you Muslims in earlier books [160] and in this book too, so that the Messenger may be your custodian and witness [161] and that you may be a witness against mankind. So establish the prayer and pay the poor-due (zakat) [162] and hold fast to the rope of Allah. He is your Protector, and what an Excellent Helper!

Surah Name : Al-Hajj   Surah Number : 22   Ayat Number: 78

Ayah 23

إِنۡ هِيَ إِلَّآ أَسۡمَآءٞ سَمَّيۡتُمُوهَآ أَنتُمۡ وَءَابَآؤُكُم مَّآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ بِهَا مِن سُلۡطَٰنٍۚ إِن يَتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا ٱلظَّنَّ وَمَا تَهۡوَى ٱلۡأَنفُسُۖ وَلَقَدۡ جَآءَهُم مِّن رَّبِّهِمُ ٱلۡهُدَىٰٓ

23. They are nothing but names which you and your forefathers [24] have named, for which Allah has sent down no authority [25]. They follow nothing but assumptions and what their souls desire [26], while guidance has already come to them from their Lord [27].

Surah Name : An-Najm   Surah Number : 53   Ayat Number: 23

Ayah 4

قَدۡ كَانَتۡ لَكُمۡ أُسۡوَةٌ حَسَنَةٞ فِيٓ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ وَٱلَّذِينَ مَعَهُۥٓ إِذۡ قَالُواْ لِقَوۡمِهِمۡ إِنَّا بُرَءَـٰٓؤُاْ مِنكُمۡ وَمِمَّا تَعۡبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ كَفَرۡنَا بِكُمۡ وَبَدَا بَيۡنَنَا وَبَيۡنَكُمُ ٱلۡعَدَٰوَةُ وَٱلۡبَغۡضَآءُ أَبَدًا حَتَّىٰ تُؤۡمِنُواْ بِٱللَّهِ وَحۡدَهُۥٓ إِلَّا قَوۡلَ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ لِأَبِيهِ لَأَسۡتَغۡفِرَنَّ لَكَ وَمَآ أَمۡلِكُ لَكَ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ مِن شَيۡءٖۖ رَّبَّنَا عَلَيۡكَ تَوَكَّلۡنَا وَإِلَيۡكَ أَنَبۡنَا وَإِلَيۡكَ ٱلۡمَصِيرُ

4.Indeed, there is a good model [13] for you in Ebrahim and those with him [14]. When they said to their people: "Indeed, we have nothing to do with you [15] and with that which you worship [16], except Allah. We reject all that you believe. Enmity and hatred have arisen between us and You forever [17], until you believe in [18] Allah alone." But what Ebrahim said to his father was: "I would certainly ask forgiveness [19] for you, so I have no authority [20] for any of your favours against Allah. O our Lord, we put our trust in You and to You do we turn and to You is our final return [21]."

Surah Name : Al-Mumtahanah   Surah Number : 60   Ayat Number: 4

Ayah 43

وَإِذَا تُتۡلَىٰ عَلَيۡهِمۡ ءَايَٰتُنَا بَيِّنَٰتٖ قَالُواْ مَا هَٰذَآ إِلَّا رَجُلٞ يُرِيدُ أَن يَصُدَّكُمۡ عَمَّا كَانَ يَعۡبُدُ ءَابَآؤُكُمۡ وَقَالُواْ مَا هَٰذَآ إِلَّآ إِفۡكٞ مُّفۡتَرٗىۚ وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ لِلۡحَقِّ لَمَّا جَآءَهُمۡ إِنۡ هَٰذَآ إِلَّا سِحۡرٞ مُّبِينٞ

43.And when Our Clear Verses are recited to them they say: "This is not but a man [127] who desires to turn you away from that which your fathers worshipped [128]". And they say: "This is nothing but a lie, which is fabricated (129)". And the infidels say about the truth when it comes to them: "This is nothing but open (130) magic".

Surah Name : Saba   Surah Number : 34   Ayat Number: 43

Ayah 36

فَأۡتُواْ بِـَٔابَآئِنَآ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَٰدِقِينَ

36."Raise up our (dead) fathers if you are truthful (37)".

Surah Name : Ad-Dukhan   Surah Number : 44   Ayat Number: 36

Ayah 22

بَلۡ قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّا وَجَدۡنَآ ءَابَآءَنَا عَلَىٰٓ أُمَّةٖ وَإِنَّا عَلَىٰٓ ءَاثَٰرِهِم مُّهۡتَدُونَ

22. No, but, in fact, they say: "We found our fathers on this system (religion) and we are guided by their footsteps (35)".
