Ayah 24

۞قَٰلَ أَوَلَوۡ جِئۡتُكُم بِأَهۡدَىٰ مِمَّا وَجَدتُّمۡ عَلَيۡهِ ءَابَآءَكُمۡۖ قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّا بِمَآ أُرۡسِلۡتُم بِهِۦ كَٰفِرُونَ

24.He (that Prophet) said: "And what! Even though I may bring to you a better guidance than what you found your fathers (38)upon ?" They said: "Surely, we disbelieve (39) in that with which you are sent".

Ayah 26

وَإِذۡ قَالَ إِبۡرَٰهِيمُ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوۡمِهِۦٓ إِنَّنِي بَرَآءٞ مِّمَّا تَعۡبُدُونَ

26. And when Abraham said to his father and his people: "I disown [42] what you worship".

Ayah 29

بَلۡ مَتَّعۡتُ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ وَءَابَآءَهُمۡ حَتَّىٰ جَآءَهُمُ ٱلۡحَقُّ وَرَسُولٞ مُّبِينٞ

29.In fact, I allowed them and their fathers worldly enjoyments [45], until there came to them the Truth (Quran) and the Messenger preaching clearly (46).
