Surah Maryam

Ayah 71 of 10

وَإِن مِّنكُمۡ إِلَّا وَارِدُهَاۚ كَانَ عَلَىٰ رَبِّكَ حَتۡمٗا مَّقۡضِيّٗا

Wa in minkum illaa waariduhaa; kaana 'alaa Rabbika hatmam maqdiyyaa
71. There is none among you who will not pass over it (Hell) [126]; this is a decree that has been decided by your Lord.

Ayah 72 of 10

ثُمَّ نُنَجِّي ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّقَواْ وَّنَذَرُ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ فِيهَا جِثِيّٗا

Summa nunajjil lazeenat taqaw wa nazaruz zaalimeena feehaa jisiyyaa
72. Then We shall save those who were God-fearing [127] and leave the unjust therein, fallen on their knees [128].

Ayah 73 of 10

وَإِذَا تُتۡلَىٰ عَلَيۡهِمۡ ءَايَٰتُنَا بَيِّنَٰتٖ قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ لِلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ أَيُّ ٱلۡفَرِيقَيۡنِ خَيۡرٞ مَّقَامٗا وَأَحۡسَنُ نَدِيّٗا

Wa izaa tutlaa 'alaihim Aayaatunaa baiyinaatin qaalal lazeena kafaroo lillazeena aamanooo aiyul fareeqaini khairum maqaamanw wa ahsanu nadiyyaa
73. And when Our clear verses are recited to them, those who disbelieve [129] say to those who believe, "Which of the two groups is better in position and more excellent in assembly?" [130].

Ayah 74 of 10

وَكَمۡ أَهۡلَكۡنَا قَبۡلَهُم مِّن قَرۡنٍ هُمۡ أَحۡسَنُ أَثَٰثٗا وَرِءۡيٗا

Wa kam ahlaknaa qablahum min qarnin hum ahsanu asaasanw wa ri'yaa
74. And how many generations We have destroyed before them, that they were better in goods and outward show than them [131].

Ayah 75 of 10

قُلۡ مَن كَانَ فِي ٱلضَّلَٰلَةِ فَلۡيَمۡدُدۡ لَهُ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنُ مَدًّاۚ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا رَأَوۡاْ مَا يُوعَدُونَ إِمَّا ٱلۡعَذَابَ وَإِمَّا ٱلسَّاعَةَ فَسَيَعۡلَمُونَ مَنۡ هُوَ شَرّٞ مَّكَانٗا وَأَضۡعَفُ جُندٗا

Qul man kaana fidda laalati falyamdud lahur Rahmaanu maddaa; hattaaa izaa ra aw maa yoo'adoona immal 'azaaba wa immas Saa'ata fasa ya'lamoona man huwa sharrum makaananw wa ad'afu jundaa
75. Say, "Whoever is in error, then the Most Affectionate may extend his stay [132] until when they see what they are promised [133], whether it be the punishment or the Hour. Then they will know [134] who is in the worse position and weaker in forces."

وَيَزِيدُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱهۡتَدَوۡاْ هُدٗىۗ وَٱلۡبَٰقِيَٰتُ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَٰتُ خَيۡرٌ عِندَ رَبِّكَ ثَوَابٗا وَخَيۡرٞ مَّرَدًّا

Wa yazeedul laahul lazeenah tadaw hudaa; wal baaqiyaatus saalihaatu khairun 'inda Rabbika sawaabanw wa khairum maraddaa
76. And Allah increases in guidance those who have adopted the path of guidance [135]. And the lasting righteous deeds are better with your Lord in terms of reward [136] and better in terms of return [137].

Ayah 77 of 10

أَفَرَءَيۡتَ ٱلَّذِي كَفَرَ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا وَقَالَ لَأُوتَيَنَّ مَالٗا وَوَلَدًا

Afara'aytal lazee kafara bi Aayaatinaa wa qaala la oota yanna maalanw wa waladaa
77. Have you seen the one who disbelieved in Our signs and said, ‘I will surely be given wealth and children?’ [138].

Ayah 78 of 10

أَطَّلَعَ ٱلۡغَيۡبَ أَمِ ٱتَّخَذَ عِندَ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ عَهۡدٗا

'At tala'al ghaiba 'amit takhaza 'indar Rahmaani 'ahdaa
78. Has he looked into the unseen, or has he taken a covenant with the Most Affectionate?.

Ayah 79 of 10

كَلَّاۚ سَنَكۡتُبُ مَا يَقُولُ وَنَمُدُّ لَهُۥ مِنَ ٱلۡعَذَابِ مَدّٗا

Kallaa; sanaktubu maa yaqoolu wa namuddu lahoo minal 'azaabi maddaa
79. No [139]! We shall certainly record what he says [140] and increase the punishment [141] for him.

Ayah 80 of 10

وَنَرِثُهُۥ مَا يَقُولُ وَيَأۡتِينَا فَرۡدٗا

Wa narisuhoo maa yaqoolu wa ya'teenaa fardaa
80. And We will inherit [142] what he says, and he will come to Us alone [143].
