Surah An-Nahl

English Translation, Transliteration, Tafsir - Ayat [91-100]

Ayah 91 of 128

Wa awfoo bi Ahdil laahi izaa 'aahattum wa laa tanqudul aimaana ba'da tawkeedihaa wa qad ja'altumul laaha 'alaikum kafeelaa; innal laaha ya'lamu maa taf'aloon
91. And fulfill the promise [203] of Allah when you have made it, and do not break [204] the oaths after making them firm [205], and you have already made Allah a surety upon you. Surely Allah knows what you are doing.
Ayah 92 of 128

92. And do not be like the woman who untwists her yarn into pieces [206] after it was strong. You make your oaths a means of deceit among yourselves so that one community becomes more numerous [207] than another. Ayah 93 of 128

Ayah 94 of 128

Wa laa tattakhizooo aimaanakum dakhalam bainakum fatazilla qadamum ba'da subootihaa wa tazooqus sooo'a bima sadattum 'an sabeelil laahi wa lakum 'azaabun 'azeem
94. And do not make your oaths as unfounded excuses [214] amongst yourselves, lest any foot may slip [215] after being firm, and you have to taste evil [216] because you used to move away from the path of Allah. And for you, there is a great torment [217].
Ayah 95 of 128

Wa laa tattakhizooo aimaanakum dakhalam bainakum fatazilla qadamum ba'da subootihaa wa tazooqus sooo'a bima sadattum 'an sabeelil laahi wa lakum 'azaabun 'azeem
95. And do not exchange the covenant of Allah for a small price [218]. Indeed, what is with Allah is better [219] for you if you know.
Ayah 96 of 128

Wa laa tashtaroo bi 'ahdil laahi samanan qaleelaa; innamaa 'indal laahi huwa khairul lakum in kuntum ta'lamoon
96. What you have will be depleted, and what is with Allah will remain forever [220]. Certainly, We will reward those who are patient with the best of their deeds [221].
Ayah 97 of 128

Innahoo laisa lahoo sultaanun 'alal lazeena aamanoo wa 'alaa Rabbihim yatawakkaloon
99. Indeed, he has no authority over those who believe and put their trust in their Lord [225].
Ayah 100 of 128
