Ayah 137

وَأَوۡرَثۡنَا ٱلۡقَوۡمَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَانُواْ يُسۡتَضۡعَفُونَ مَشَٰرِقَ ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَغَٰرِبَهَا ٱلَّتِي بَٰرَكۡنَا فِيهَاۖ وَتَمَّتۡ كَلِمَتُ رَبِّكَ ٱلۡحُسۡنَىٰ عَلَىٰ بَنِيٓ إِسۡرَـٰٓءِيلَ بِمَا صَبَرُواْۖ وَدَمَّرۡنَا مَا كَانَ يَصۡنَعُ فِرۡعَوۡنُ وَقَوۡمُهُۥ وَمَا كَانُواْ يَعۡرِشُونَ

137. And We made a people, who were already oppressed, inheritors of the eastern and western parts of the land [289] in which We placed Our blessings [290]. And the gracious promise of your Lord was fulfilled for the Children of Israel [291], in reward for their patience. And We destroyed whatever Pharaoh and his people produced and what they used to erect [292].

Ayah 155

وَٱخۡتَارَ مُوسَىٰ قَوۡمَهُۥ سَبۡعِينَ رَجُلٗا لِّمِيقَٰتِنَاۖ فَلَمَّآ أَخَذَتۡهُمُ ٱلرَّجۡفَةُ قَالَ رَبِّ لَوۡ شِئۡتَ أَهۡلَكۡتَهُم مِّن قَبۡلُ وَإِيَّـٰيَۖ أَتُهۡلِكُنَا بِمَا فَعَلَ ٱلسُّفَهَآءُ مِنَّآۖ إِنۡ هِيَ إِلَّا فِتۡنَتُكَ تُضِلُّ بِهَا مَن تَشَآءُ وَتَهۡدِي مَن تَشَآءُۖ أَنتَ وَلِيُّنَا فَٱغۡفِرۡ لَنَا وَٱرۡحَمۡنَاۖ وَأَنتَ خَيۡرُ ٱلۡغَٰفِرِينَ

155.And Musa chose seventy men of his people for Our promised appointment [337]. Then when an earthquake overtook [338] them, Musa submitted: "O my Lord! Had You wished, You would have destroyed them and me before [339]. Will You kill us for what our foolish ones have done? That is nothing but Your test [341], whereby You cause those to go astray whom You will, and guide whom You will [342]. You are our Protector. So forgive us and have mercy upon us. And You are the Best of Forgivers."

Surah Name : Al-Araf   Surah Number : 7   Ayat Number: 155

Ayah 173

أَوۡ تَقُولُوٓاْ إِنَّمَآ أَشۡرَكَ ءَابَآؤُنَا مِن قَبۡلُ وَكُنَّا ذُرِّيَّةٗ مِّنۢ بَعۡدِهِمۡۖ أَفَتُهۡلِكُنَا بِمَا فَعَلَ ٱلۡمُبۡطِلُونَ

173.Or [lest] you say, "Our forefathers had committed polytheism before, and we were merely their descendants after them. Will You then destroy us for what the falsifiers did?" [400].

Ayah 10

۞أَفَلَمۡ يَسِيرُواْ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ فَيَنظُرُواْ كَيۡفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡۖ دَمَّرَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيۡهِمۡۖ وَلِلۡكَٰفِرِينَ أَمۡثَٰلُهَا

10.Have they not travelled in the land so that they may see what was the end [23]of those who were before them? Allah destroys [24] them utterly, and the infidels shall get the like thereof(25).

Ayah 13

وَكَأَيِّن مِّن قَرۡيَةٍ هِيَ أَشَدُّ قُوَّةٗ مِّن قَرۡيَتِكَ ٱلَّتِيٓ أَخۡرَجَتۡكَ أَهۡلَكۡنَٰهُمۡ فَلَا نَاصِرَ لَهُمۡ

13.And how many a city that was stronger in might than your city, We have destroyed then, and they had no helper [32].

Ayah 51

فَٱنظُرۡ كَيۡفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ مَكۡرِهِمۡ أَنَّا دَمَّرۡنَٰهُمۡ وَقَوۡمَهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِينَ

51. Then see how was the end of their plot; We destroyed them [103] and their entire people [104].

Ayah 57

فَأَنجَيۡنَٰهُ وَأَهۡلَهُۥٓ إِلَّا ٱمۡرَأَتَهُۥ قَدَّرۡنَٰهَا مِنَ ٱلۡغَٰبِرِينَ

57. Then We saved him and his family, except for his wife; We destined her to be among those who stayed behind [110].

Ayah 139

فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَهۡلَكۡنَٰهُمۡۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَةٗۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكۡثَرُهُم مُّؤۡمِنِينَ

139. So they belied him, and We destroyed them. [139] Indeed, in that is a sign, but most of them were not believers. [140]

ثُمَّ دَمَّرۡنَا ٱلۡأٓخَرِينَ

172. Then We destroyed the others. [172]

ثُمَّ دَمَّرۡنَا ٱلۡأٓخَرِينَ

136.Then We utterly destroyed [138] the others.

Ayah 117

مَثَلُ مَا يُنفِقُونَ فِي هَٰذِهِ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡيَا كَمَثَلِ رِيحٖ فِيهَا صِرٌّ أَصَابَتۡ حَرۡثَ قَوۡمٖ ظَلَمُوٓاْ أَنفُسَهُمۡ فَأَهۡلَكَتۡهُۚ وَمَا ظَلَمَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ وَلَٰكِنۡ أَنفُسَهُمۡ يَظۡلِمُونَ

117. The example of what they spend in this worldly life [256] is like a wind with a cold that strikes the harvest of a people who have wronged themselves (sinned), destroying it. And Allah has not wronged them; rather, they wrong their own souls [257].

Ayah 7

إِنۡ أَحۡسَنتُمۡ أَحۡسَنتُمۡ لِأَنفُسِكُمۡۖ وَإِنۡ أَسَأۡتُمۡ فَلَهَاۚ فَإِذَا جَآءَ وَعۡدُ ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ لِيَسُـُٔواْ وُجُوهَكُمۡ وَلِيَدۡخُلُواْ ٱلۡمَسۡجِدَ كَمَا دَخَلُوهُ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٖ وَلِيُتَبِّرُواْ مَا عَلَوۡاْ تَتۡبِيرًا

7.If you do good, it is for yourselves, and if you do evil, it is against yourselves [19]. When the second promise came [20], it was to make your faces fearful [21], to enter the Mosque [22] as they had entered it the first time, and to utterly destroy whatever they had gained control over [23].

Ayah 16

وَإِذَآ أَرَدۡنَآ أَن نُّهۡلِكَ قَرۡيَةً أَمَرۡنَا مُتۡرَفِيهَا فَفَسَقُواْ فِيهَا فَحَقَّ عَلَيۡهَا ٱلۡقَوۡلُ فَدَمَّرۡنَٰهَا تَدۡمِيرٗا

16. And when We intend to destroy a town [43], We command its affluent people [44], and they become disobedient in it. So, the decree is fulfilled upon it, and We completely destroy it [45].

Ayah 17

وَكَمۡ أَهۡلَكۡنَا مِنَ ٱلۡقُرُونِ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ نُوحٖۗ وَكَفَىٰ بِرَبِّكَ بِذُنُوبِ عِبَادِهِۦ خَبِيرَۢا بَصِيرٗا

17. And how many generations [46] We have destroyed after Nuh. And your Lord is enough as the All-Aware and the All-Seeing of the sins of His servants [47].

Surah Name : Al-Isra   Surah Number : 17   Ayat Number: 17

Ayah 58

وَإِن مِّن قَرۡيَةٍ إِلَّا نَحۡنُ مُهۡلِكُوهَا قَبۡلَ يَوۡمِ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ أَوۡ مُعَذِّبُوهَا عَذَابٗا شَدِيدٗاۚ كَانَ ذَٰلِكَ فِي ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ مَسۡطُورٗا

58. And there is no town [126] but that We shall destroy it before the Day of Resurrection or punish it with a severe punishment [127]. This is written in the Book.

Surah Name : Al-Isra   Surah Number : 17   Ayat Number: 58

Ayah 43

وَلَقَدۡ ءَاتَيۡنَا مُوسَى ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ مَآ أَهۡلَكۡنَا ٱلۡقُرُونَ ٱلۡأُولَىٰ بَصَآئِرَ لِلنَّاسِ وَهُدٗى وَرَحۡمَةٗ لَّعَلَّهُمۡ يَتَذَكَّرُونَ

43. And indeed, We gave Musa the Scripture after We had destroyed the previous generations, [115] containing clear signs for the people, and guidance and mercy, so that they may take heed. [116]

Surah Name : Al-Qasas   Surah Number : 28   Ayat Number: 43

Ayah 58

وَكَمۡ أَهۡلَكۡنَا مِن قَرۡيَةِۭ بَطِرَتۡ مَعِيشَتَهَاۖ فَتِلۡكَ مَسَٰكِنُهُمۡ لَمۡ تُسۡكَن مِّنۢ بَعۡدِهِمۡ إِلَّا قَلِيلٗاۖ وَكُنَّا نَحۡنُ ٱلۡوَٰرِثِينَ

58. And how many a city have We destroyed [149] that behaved boastfully in their luxurious life [150]. And these are their homes [151], which were inhabited after them only briefly [152], and We are the inheritors [153].

Ayah 59

وَمَا كَانَ رَبُّكَ مُهۡلِكَ ٱلۡقُرَىٰ حَتَّىٰ يَبۡعَثَ فِيٓ أُمِّهَا رَسُولٗا يَتۡلُواْ عَلَيۡهِمۡ ءَايَٰتِنَاۚ وَمَا كُنَّا مُهۡلِكِي ٱلۡقُرَىٰٓ إِلَّا وَأَهۡلُهَا ظَٰلِمُونَ

59. And your Lord does not destroy the cities until He sends in their main city a Messenger [154] who may recite Our signs to them [155], and We do not destroy the cities except when their inhabitants are oppressors [156].

Surah Name : Al-Qasas   Surah Number : 28   Ayat Number: 59

Ayah 78

قَالَ إِنَّمَآ أُوتِيتُهُۥ عَلَىٰ عِلۡمٍ عِندِيٓۚ أَوَلَمۡ يَعۡلَمۡ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ قَدۡ أَهۡلَكَ مِن قَبۡلِهِۦ مِنَ ٱلۡقُرُونِ مَنۡ هُوَ أَشَدُّ مِنۡهُ قُوَّةٗ وَأَكۡثَرُ جَمۡعٗاۚ وَلَا يُسۡـَٔلُ عَن ذُنُوبِهِمُ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ

78. He said, "This has been given to me only because of a knowledge I possess [192]. Does he not know that Allah has destroyed [193] before him such generations who were stronger than him and greater in accumulation [194]? And the criminals will not be questioned about their sins [195]."
