Ayah 231 of 286
Wa izaa tallaqtumun nisaaa'a fabalaghna ajala hunna fa amsikoohunna bima'roofin law sarrihoo hunna bima'roof; wa laa tumsikoo hunna diraa rallita'tadoo; wa mai yaf'al zaalika faqad zalama nafsah; wa laa tattakhizooo aayaatillaahi huzuwaa; wazkuroo ni'matal laahi 'alaikum wa maaa anzala 'alaikum minal kitaabi wal hikmati ya'izukum bih; wattaqul laaha wa'lamooo annal laaha bikulli shai'in 'Aleem
231. And when you have divorced women and they have completed their term, either retain them with kindness or release them [553] with kindness. And do not retain them to hurt them and commit aggression [554]. And whoever does so wrongs his own self [555]. And do not take the verses of Allah in jest [556], and remember the favor [557] of Allah upon you and what He has revealed to you of the Book and wisdom [558] to advise you. And fear Allah, and know that Allah is the Knower of all things [559].
Ayah 232 of 286
Wa izaa tallaqtumun nisaaa'a fabalaghna ajalahunna falaa ta'duloo hunna ai yankihna azwaaja hunna izaa taraadaw bainahum bilma' roof; zaalika yoo'azu bihee man kaana minkum yu'minu billaahi wal yawmil aakhir; zaalikum azkaa lakum wa at-har; wallaahu ya'lamu wa antum laa ta'lamoon
232. And when you have divorced women and their waiting period is complete, do not prevent them from marrying [560] their husbands if they agree among themselves in a rightful manner [561]. This instruction is for those among you who believe in Allah and the Last Day. This is purer and cleaner [562] for you. And Allah knows, and you do not know [563].
Ayah 233 of 286
Walwaa lidaatu yurdi'na awlaada hunna hawlaini kaamilaini liman araada ai yutimmar radaa'ah; wa 'alalmawloodi lahoo rizqu hunna wa kiswatuhunna bilma'roof; laatukallafu nafsun illaa wus'ahaa; laa tudaaarra waalidatum biwaladihaa wa laa mawloodul lahoo biwaladih; wa 'alal waarisi mislu zaalik; fa in araadaa Fisaalan 'an taraadim minhumaa wa tashaawurin falaa junaaha 'alaihimaa; wa in arattum an tastardi'ooo awlaadakum falaa junaaha 'alaikum izaa sallamtum maaa aataitum bilma'roof; wattaqul laaha wa'lamooo annal laaha bimaa ta'maloona baseer
233. And the mothers should breastfeed their children for two complete years [564], for whoever wishes to complete [565] the nursing period. And upon the father is the responsibility of the mothers' provision and clothing, according to what is acceptable [566]. No soul is burdened beyond its capacity. Neither should a mother be made to suffer because of her child nor should a father suffer because of his child [567]. The same duty is upon the father’s heir [568]. But if they both decide, by mutual consent and consultation, to wean, there is no sin [569] upon them. And if you wish to have your children nursed by someone else, there is no blame [570] on you, as long as you pay what you agreed upon in a fair manner [571]. And fear Allah and know that Allah is seeing what you do.
Ayah 234 of 286
234.Those of you who die [572] and leave wives behind. They (widows) should wait for a period (573) of four months and ten days, so when they complete their Iddat then, there is no blame (574) on you for what they do with regard to themselves according to (Islamic) (575) law. And Allah is fully aware of whatever you do.
Ayah 235 of 286
Wa laa junaaha 'alaikum feema 'arradtum bihee min khitbatin nisaaa'i aw aknantum feee anfusikum; 'alimal laahu annakum satazkuroonahunna wa laakil laa tuwaa'idoohunna sirran illaaa an taqooloo qawlamma'roofaa; wa laa ta'zimoo 'uqdatan nikaahi hattaa yablughal kitaabu ajalah; wa'lamooo annal laaha ya'lamumaa feee anfusikum fahzarooh; wa'lamooo annallaaha Ghafoorun Haleem
235. And there is no sin on you if you make a hint of proposal to such women or conceal it in your hearts. Allah knows that you will soon remember them. But do not make a hidden contract [576] with them, except that you speak in a recognized manner according to the law. And do not resolve on the marriage tie [577] until the prescribed term reaches its end. And know that Allah knows what is in your hearts [578], so beware of Him [579]. And know that Allah is Most Forgiving, Most Forbearing.
Ayah 236 of 286
Laa junaaha 'alaikum in tallaqtumun nisaaa'a maa lam tamassoohunna aw tafridoo lahunna fareedah; wa matti'hoohunna 'alal moosi'i qadaruhoo wa 'alal muqtiri qadaruhoo matta'am bilma'roofi haqqan 'alalmuhsineen
236. There is no blame on you if you divorce women whom you have not touched [580], or if you have not yet set a dowry for them [581]. But give them something to benefit from according to your means: the wealthy according to his capacity, and the less fortunate according to his capacity—this is an obligation [582] on those who do good [583].
Ayah 237 of 286
Wa in tallaqtumoohunna min qabli an tamassoohunna wa qad farad tum lahunna fareedatan fanisfu maa faradtum illaaa ai ya'foona aw ya'fuwallazee biyadihee 'uqdatunnikaah; wa an ta'fooo aqrabu littaqwaa; wa laa tansawulfadla bainakum; innal laaha bimaa ta'maloona Baseer
237. And if you divorce them before touching them [584], but you have already set a dowry for them, then half of what you set is due. Unless the wives choose to forgive [585] or the one who holds the marriage tie gives more [586]. And if you give more, it is closer to righteousness [587]. And do not forget to treat each other kindly [588]. Surely, Allah is fully aware of what you do.
Ayah 238 of 286
Haafizoo 'alas salawaati was Salaatil Wustaa wa qoomoo lillaahi qaaniteen
238. Guard your prayers [589], especially the middle prayer [590]. And stand before Allah with sincere devotion [591].
Ayah 239 of 286
239. And if you fear (danger of enemy) (592), then establish prayer while on foot (593) or riding. Then when you are secure, remember Allah as He has taught you what you knew not.
Ayah 240 of 286
Wallazeena yutawaf fawna minkum wa yazaroona azwaajanw wasiyyatal li azwaajihim mataa'an ilal hawlighaira ikhraaj; fa in kharajna falaa junaaha 'alaikum fee maa fa'alna feee anfusihinna min ma'roof; wallaahu Azeezun Hakeem
240. Those of you who die and leave behind wives should make a will [594] for their wives, ensuring their support [595] for one year, without expelling them. If they choose to leave, then you are not accountable [596] for what they do regarding themselves [597] in a lawful manner. And Allah is Almighty, All Wise.
