Ar-Rahman (meaning: The Merciful) is the 55th Chapter (Surah) of the Qur'an. It has 78 verses (Ayat).
In this surah it's been mentioned about Allah created man, taught him the Qur'an, and taught him how to express his feelings and thoughts during the early stages of the Prophet's residence at Makkah.
