आयत 71 में से 129

وَٱلۡمُؤۡمِنُونَ وَٱلۡمُؤۡمِنَٰتُ بَعۡضُهُمۡ أَوۡلِيَآءُ بَعۡضٖۚ يَأۡمُرُونَ بِٱلۡمَعۡرُوفِ وَيَنۡهَوۡنَ عَنِ ٱلۡمُنكَرِ وَيُقِيمُونَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَيُؤۡتُونَ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَيُطِيعُونَ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥٓۚ أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ سَيَرۡحَمُهُمُ ٱللَّهُۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٞ,

Wal mu'minoona wal mu'minaatu ba'duhum awliyaaa'u ba'd; ya'muroona bilma'roofi wa yanhawna 'anil munkari wa yuqeemoonas Salaata wa yu'toonaz Zakaata wa yutee'oonal laaha wa Rasoolah; ulaaa'ika sayarhamu humul laah; innallaaha 'Azeezun Hakeem
और ईमान वाले मर्द और ईमान वाली औरतें एक-दूसरे के दोस्त हैं, वे भलाई का हुक्म देते हैं और बुराई से मना करते हैं और नमाज़ क़ायम करते हैं और ज़कात देते हैं तथा अल्लाह और उसके रसूल की आज्ञा का पालन करते हैं। यही लोग हैं जिनपर अल्लाह दया करेगा। निःसंदेह अल्लाह सब पर प्रभुत्वशाली, पूर्ण हिकमत वाला है।

وَعَدَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ وَٱلۡمُؤۡمِنَٰتِ جَنَّـٰتٖ تَجۡرِي مِن تَحۡتِهَا ٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا وَمَسَٰكِنَ طَيِّبَةٗ فِي جَنَّـٰتِ عَدۡنٖۚ وَرِضۡوَٰنٞ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ أَكۡبَرُۚ ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ ٱلۡفَوۡزُ ٱلۡعَظِيمُ,

Wa'adal laahulmu' mineena walmu'minaati Jannaatin tajree min tahtihal anhaaru khaalideena feehaa wa masaakina taiyibatan fee Jannnaati 'adn; wa ridwaanum minal laahi akbar; zaalika huwal fawzul 'azeem
अल्लाह ने ईमान वाले पुरुषों तथा ईमान वाली स्त्रियों से ऐसे बाग़ों का वादा किया है जिनके नीचे से नहरें बहती हैं, जिनमें वे सदैव रहने वाले होंगे, और स्थायी बाग़ों में अच्छे आवासों का (वादा किया है)। और अल्लाह की ओर से थोड़ी-सी प्रसन्नता सबसे बड़ी है, यही तो बहुत बड़ी सफलता है।

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّبِيُّ جَٰهِدِ ٱلۡكُفَّارَ وَٱلۡمُنَٰفِقِينَ وَٱغۡلُظۡ عَلَيۡهِمۡۚ وَمَأۡوَىٰهُمۡ جَهَنَّمُۖ وَبِئۡسَ ٱلۡمَصِيرُ,

Yaaa aiyuhan Nabiyyu jaahidil kuffaara walmunaafiqeena waghluz 'alaihim; wa maawaahum jahannnamu wa bi'sal maseer
ऐ नबी! काफ़िरों और मुनाफ़िक़ों से जिहाद करें और उनपर सख़्ती करें। और उनका ठिकाना जहन्नम है और वह बहुत बुरा लौटकर जाने का स्थान है।

आयत 74 में से 129

يَحۡلِفُونَ بِٱللَّهِ مَا قَالُواْ وَلَقَدۡ قَالُواْ كَلِمَةَ ٱلۡكُفۡرِ وَكَفَرُواْ بَعۡدَ إِسۡلَٰمِهِمۡ وَهَمُّواْ بِمَا لَمۡ يَنَالُواْۚ وَمَا نَقَمُوٓاْ إِلَّآ أَنۡ أَغۡنَىٰهُمُ ٱللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُۥ مِن فَضۡلِهِۦۚ فَإِن يَتُوبُواْ يَكُ خَيۡرٗا لَّهُمۡۖ وَإِن يَتَوَلَّوۡاْ يُعَذِّبۡهُمُ ٱللَّهُ عَذَابًا أَلِيمٗا فِي ٱلدُّنۡيَا وَٱلۡأٓخِرَةِۚ وَمَا لَهُمۡ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ مِن وَلِيّٖ وَلَا نَصِيرٖ,

Yahlifoona billaahi ma qaaloo wa laqad qaaloo kalimatal kufri wa kafaroo ba'da Islaamihim wa hammoo bimaa lam yanaaloo; wa maa naqamooo illaaa an aghnaa humullaahu wa Rasooluhoo min fadlih; fainy yatooboo yaku khairal lahum wa iny yatawal law yu'az zibhumullaahu 'azaaban aleeman fiddunyaa wal Aakhirah; wamaa lahum fil ardi minw waliyyinw wa laa naseer
वे अल्लाह की क़सम खाते हैं कि उन्होंने (यह) बात[36] नहीं कही। हालाँकि निःसंदेह उन्होंने कुफ़्र की बात[37] कही और अपने इस्लाम लाने के पश्चात् काफ़िर हो गए और उन्होंने उस चीज़ का इरादा किया, जो उन्हें नहीं मिली। और उन्होंने केवल इसका बदला लिया कि अल्लाह और उसके रसूल ने उन्हें अपने अनुग्रह से समृद्ध[38] कर दिया। अब यदि वे तौबा कर लें, तो उनके लिए बेहतर होगा और अगर वे मुँह फेर लें, तो अल्लाह उन्हें दुनिया और आख़िरत में दर्दनाक अज़ाब देगा और उनका धरती पर न कोई दोस्त होगा और न कोई मददगार।

आयत 75 में से 129

۞وَمِنۡهُم مَّنۡ عَٰهَدَ ٱللَّهَ لَئِنۡ ءَاتَىٰنَا مِن فَضۡلِهِۦ لَنَصَّدَّقَنَّ وَلَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ,

Wa minhum man 'aaha dal laaha la'in aataanaa min fadlihee lanas saddaqanna wa lanakoonanna minassaaliheen
और उनमें से कुछ लोग ऐसे हैं जिन्होंने अल्लाह को वचन दिया कि निश्चय यदि उसने हमें अपने अनुग्रह से कुछ प्रदान किया, तो हम अवश्य दान करेंगे और निश्चित रूप से नेक लोगों में से हो जाएँगे।

فَلَمَّآ ءَاتَىٰهُم مِّن فَضۡلِهِۦ بَخِلُواْ بِهِۦ وَتَوَلَّواْ وَّهُم مُّعۡرِضُونَ,

Falammaaa aataahum min fadlihee bakhiloo bihee wa tawallaw wa hum mu'ridoon
फिर जब उसने उन्हें अपने अनुग्रह से कुछ प्रदान किया, तो उन्होंने उसमें कंजूसी की और विमुख होकर फिर गए।

आयत 77 में से 129

فَأَعۡقَبَهُمۡ نِفَاقٗا فِي قُلُوبِهِمۡ إِلَىٰ يَوۡمِ يَلۡقَوۡنَهُۥ بِمَآ أَخۡلَفُواْ ٱللَّهَ مَا وَعَدُوهُ وَبِمَا كَانُواْ يَكۡذِبُونَ,

Fa a'qabahum nifaaqan fee quloobihim ilaa Yawmi yalqaw nahoo bimaaa akhlaful laaha maa wa'adoohu wa bimaa kaanoo yak ziboon
तो परिणाम यह हुआ कि उस (अल्लाह) ने उनके दिलों में उस दिन तक के लिए निफ़ाक़ डाल दिया, जब वे उससे मिलेंगे। क्योंकि उन्होंने अल्लाह से जो वादा किया था, उसका उल्लंघन किया और इसलिए कि वे झूठ बोलते थे।

أَلَمۡ يَعۡلَمُوٓاْ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَعۡلَمُ سِرَّهُمۡ وَنَجۡوَىٰهُمۡ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلَّـٰمُ ٱلۡغُيُوبِ,

Alam ya'lamooo annal laaha ya'lamu sirrahum wa najwaahum wa annal laaha 'Allaamul Ghuyoob
क्या उन्हें नहीं मालूम कि निःसंदेह अल्लाह उनके भेद और उनकी कानाफूसी को अच्छी तरह जानता है और यह कि निःसंदेह अल्लाह परोक्ष की सभी बातों को भली-भाँति जानने वाला है?

ٱلَّذِينَ يَلۡمِزُونَ ٱلۡمُطَّوِّعِينَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ فِي ٱلصَّدَقَٰتِ وَٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَجِدُونَ إِلَّا جُهۡدَهُمۡ فَيَسۡخَرُونَ مِنۡهُمۡ سَخِرَ ٱللَّهُ مِنۡهُمۡ وَلَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ,

Allazeena yalmizoonal mut tawwi'eena minalmu'mineena fis sadaqaati wallazeena laa yajidoona illaa juhdahum fayaskharoona minhum sakhiral laahu minhum wa lahum azaabun aleem
वे लोग जो स्वेच्छापूर्वक दान देने वाले मोमिनों को, उनके दान के विषय में, ताना देते हैं तथा उन लोगों को (भी) जो अपनी मेहनत के सिवा कुछ नहीं पाते। तो वे (मुनाफ़िक़) उनका उपहास करते हैं। अल्लाह ने उनका उपहास किया[39] और उनके लिए दर्दनाक यातना है।

ٱسۡتَغۡفِرۡ لَهُمۡ أَوۡ لَا تَسۡتَغۡفِرۡ لَهُمۡ إِن تَسۡتَغۡفِرۡ لَهُمۡ سَبۡعِينَ مَرَّةٗ فَلَن يَغۡفِرَ ٱللَّهُ لَهُمۡۚ ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمۡ كَفَرُواْ بِٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦۗ وَٱللَّهُ لَا يَهۡدِي ٱلۡقَوۡمَ ٱلۡفَٰسِقِينَ,

istaghfir lahum aw laa tastaghfir lahum in tastaghfir lahum sab'eena marratan falany yaghfiral laahu lahum; zaalika bi annahum kafaroo billaahi wa Rasoolih; wallaahu laa yahdil qawmal faasiqeen
(ऐ नबी!) आप उनके लिए क्षमा याचना करें, या उनके लिए क्षमा याचना न करें, यदि आप उनके लिए सत्तर बार क्षमा याचना करें, तो भी अल्लाह उन्हें कभी क्षमा नहीं करेगा। यह इस कारण कि उन्होंने अल्लाह और उसके रसूल के साथ कुफ़्र किया और अल्लाह अवज्ञाकारी लोगों का मार्गदर्शन नहीं करता।

Known as "The Immunity," Surah At-Tawbah is the 9th chapter of the Glorious Quran. It contains 129 ayat (verses) and was revealed in Medina after the Prophet (ﷺ) migrated there. This surah consists of two juz (parts). Verses 1 through 92 are in the 10th juz, and verses 93 to 129 are in the 11th juz.

This surah continues from the previous one, as it begins by calling an end to the numerous peace treaties broken by the pagans. The believers are encouraged to join the Prophet (ﷺ) in marching to Tabuk for battle during the summer of 9 A.H. / 631 C.E., and hypocrites—who make spurious excuses—are uncovered and refuted. Muslims are reminded of Allah's protection at the Battle of Uhud, when their defeat turned into a successful victory, as well as how He shielded His Messenger (ﷺ) during his journey to Medina. Throughout this surah, Allah's tolerance for repentance is continually emphasized, hence its title.
